They were prompt, professional and neat. This was a difficult removal, near a fence and an expensive Water feature urn. They protected the urn and unlike other companies who suggested taking the fence down during removal, they did not remove the fence and no damage was done. We received an estimate that was much higher than their's and the other's were all lower and all recommended fence removal. We didn't mind paying the extra and having the job done right because this was an old tree, damaged by fire and close to important structures. Great job!

Greta job. Cleaned up everything, other than the tress being trimmed hard to tell someone was here at all. Only minor issue was they are so backed up with work that it takes a while to get them here for the actual work.

We got two quotes from highly rated tree trimmers on Angie's list and Bay Area Tree Experts was 50% less expensive than our other quote, so we went with them. They said they were very busy and it would take about a month before they could come out. It ended up taking **6 weeks** from the time we hired them until they came, so I would not recommend them if you are in any kind of a hurry, need to get limbs trimmed for hurricane season, etc. When they finally did some, they worked efficiently and finished in about 1.5 hours. They did the work we agreed to and were neither too timid nor too aggressive in trimming the trees. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't just take the branches, but also raked up the pine needles. I would use them again, but only if I could plan well in advance. They just seem too busy.

Mike and his crew did a terrific job. The pear tree was pretty big and one of the guys climbed into it and methodically and carefully cut the branches, making sure none fell into my neighbor's yard. The crew worked together very well, trimming, hauling and putting the branches thru the wood chipper. Mike was extremely careful to not cut into any water, gas or phone lines while using the stump grinder. They did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves. I would definitely use them again.

They came while we were out of town. They did all the work they told me they would be doing and cleaned up the debris. When we got home on Sunday the trees looked wonderful. They have done several jobs for us in the past. They always do the job quickly and clean up the mess. I never have to worry about anything.

They were pretty good. They were very professional. They gave me a price. I needed the work done. The tree was grown so big. It was partly on a neighbors property. I wanted the job done quickly. They were extremely good. They have a large crew. They have very expensive equipment that you know I could not believe it was grinding up 100 pounds pieces of trunk and without a problem. It was real scary. It was very good equipment. They got the job done in about 2 to 3 hours. It was a huge job and they did very very good work. They were very professional when they came out. Very punctual about when they are going to come. They are very responsive, very good. My uneasiness came from the situation with the neighbors. They did it so well that like there wasn't a trace. They did a great job. You get what you pay for I wish it was less.

The estimator came out and didn't talk to me directly but left a very detailed list of tasks and a reasonable estimate based upon what I told them I wanted to do when I arranged for the estimate. I accepted the estimate and a week or so later the crew showed up. They went over things with me, did a very good job and cleaned everything up after themselves.

The crew came asked what I needed to verify the contract the started right in on both trees. One in the back and one in the front. They worked non stop cutting and clearing all the branches and raked up after all limbs were gone. I asked to save some and they were so helpful in getting me some of the limbs for my outdoor fire pit. They were very helpful and frindly and more than glad to do what I asked

David Morris at Bay Area Tree Experts came out and did an assessment and gave me an estimate and told me that they would put me on the schedule and it would be about two weeks. The office person at Bay Area Tree Experts called me the week before and gave me a specific date and time. The crew of 6 showed up exactly when they were supposed to and worked from 1:00 PM until about 6:00 PM. These guys are real artists at making live oaks look good. They are especially good with the live oaks that have a lot of "personality". They did exactly what I wanted, ground up all of the cuttings, cleaned-up, and hauled everything off. The removal of the section of overgrown shrubs was a very big job that took the whole crew over 2 hours, yet they only charged me $270 for that part of the job, including the stump grinding. The tree trimming part was $976 for 27 trees, which works out to $36 per tree. They did excellent work and I feel like this is a very fair price. This is the fourth year that I have used Bay Area Tree Experts and I will definitely call them when I need our trees trimmed again.

I have used this tree service for many years. I really like their service and their prices. In my opinion, the "key to success" when hiring a tree service is to be specific about the outcome that you desire. For example, I highly prioritize beauty as an outcome because most of the trees on my property are decorative and add curb appeal rather than providing a crop of fruit or shade. Houston is so hot that I rarely sit outside during the heat of the day. When I write a review at Angie's List, I write reviews only for contractors who have provided service that I can use year after year. If a contractor provides poor service, I simply end the contract as soon as possible so that the contractor will be off of my property before the contractor does any further damage or creates additional expense through carelessness or negligence. I trust Bay Area Tree Service year after year to provide useful recommendations and to shape my trees and shrubbery so that their appearance is enhanced. The representative told me to be specific about the end result so that Bay Area Tree Service could provide exactly the kind of service that I want. Evidently home owners have different preferences. I highly recommend this company.

I heard about them from Angie’s List. They did a complete job. They were done quick and efficiently. The price was reasonable and it included the tax as well. They were here on time. I would most likely use them again in the future.

I expected to receive a phone call from the office the week prior to the arrival of the technicians to confirm an appointment, but instead they just showed up. Luckily I was home. (I figured they forgot about me.) The guys were knowledgeable. It took quite some time to accomplish the work, so I decided to bury the wiring myself & finish replacing light bulbs to save time & money. I was apprehensive about the pricing, but agreed to the 3 items, 2 based on an emailed price list from the office & 1 based on the price given by the tech. Upon receiving my bill, it was about $500 higher than I calculated. I called the office to discuss & the owner told me that I "should learn how to read." Once I got home to my computer to print the email, I scanned it along with the invoice & my notes. A couple days later I received an e-mail from the assistant that the owner said it was okay to pay the amount I had calculated. The prices were high & the customer service was very dissapointing when the situation became distressed.

The provider removed the tree without any problems. When the landscapiong in the front bed was taken out, they did not remove all the plants. My husband had to call and ask them to come out and finish the job. They then charged us another fee for coming out and finishing the job. The husband asked for an itemized bill so we could see where the extra expense was but we were never given that information. They also changed the amount they were charging us and wrote that amount down on their invoice, but never informed us of the increase. Although the bushes and plants were removed, they did not remove the roots so I had to hire another crew to come out and finish the job. We paid the bill to end the agony but will never use them again. They are dishonest, unprofessional, and were unconcerned that they ruined a relationship with someone who lives in their communuity.

I contracted this company to cut and maintain my BACK yard in January of 2014. They forgot about me until March, when I reminded them that we had a contract. They came and cut my back yard, and ruined a formerly beautiful palm tree in my FRONT yard. The tree was majestic and about 5 to 6 feet in diameter. They hacked it up (prune? Trim?) and now it is half pruned and ruined. They did this without asking me, AND the tree is in the front yard. I am sick over the tree. I would not trust the management of this company at all. They blamed it on a man who couldn't speak good english. The site superintendent is fluent in that man's language. Bottom line - they ruined a tree that took 10 plus years to grow, and it will not grow back. Also, I do not know why anyone would do what was done to that tree. I would hire a lawyer and sue them for a replacement tree, but I don't have time, and there will never be another tree like that one. I have before and after photos if anyone is interested. My advice for Bay Area Design & Landscaping - Do NOT use them. Incompetent management.

I had the electrical checked and it was good. This company sent tech to check function of pump. It was in need of replacement. this was done and the pump worked fine. the servicemen were professional and concerned about my home. the weather was wet so they moved from the location of the fountain on the patio to their truck for tools, etc. on the outside and sis not track through my house. My only concern was that they didn't let me know they were coming. I felt I needed to be able to explain the problem to them even though they didn't need to access the inside of my home. I was home so could explain the work needed but I don't know how they would have known what to look at if I had not been home.

Called for estimate for yard & landscaping. They only provide for contract members.

I used Bay Area Tree Experts a few years ago after a hurricane to take care of some items but this time I hired them to remove some overgrowth, remove some trees, grind stumps, and haul away the debris. All-in-all, the team of folks came out and in 1.5 hours were able to get rid of 7 trees, take care of the other items, clean-up, and be on their way. Very professional crew of folks. Reasonably priced. I would definitely hire these guys again!

nothing went, service provider never showed up. UPDATE: This is a follow on to my review of 9/23/13 - after seeing the response and a desire to make it right. I called them and tried to set up another appointment. I was told the person I needed to speak to was out and he would call me back, I waited a few days with no call and called again, Again, I was told the call would be returned (the lady I spoke to sounded very rude on the phone - "I told you we would call you back"). I have yet to receive any call.

Just a bunch of hard working guys. Doing a hard job and doing it right!
