I just can't say enough about this company. We were wanting to remove an existing cooktop and cabinet underneath it to make room for a new stove. It involved making a few cuts in the granite. A lot of companies might have declined the job as being too small and therefore not bringing in much revenue. Not this company! They couldn't do enough for us. They were so accomodating. Kept us informed with phone calls to let us know when the work was to be done, etc. Some of the best customer service we have experienced in a long time. The crew that came out did a phenomenal job. They were very professional and respectful. Very good about cleaning up afterwards. Even polished my cabinets! It was like a breath of fresh air to see this crew so eager to do a good job for us and get along so well with each other. This was one of the most positive experiences we have ever had. I will definitely recommend this wonderful company to all my friends and acquaintances.

They were very pleasant to work with and I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: We bought two bathroom quartz countertops and two sinks from them. They took the measurements, did the cut outs from the quartz slab and then installed them. One counter was a little bit too deep, so we let them know and they came out within a day or two and cut it down to fit perfectly.

The whole process with Natural Stone Design was easy and professional. I am a commercial contractor, so there are some things that I look for when dealing with companies. At the top of the list is a clear understanding of cost structure. I recognize that companies need to make money I and I am not one to try and dicker over the cost of everything. Natural Stone is as transparent as possible. They will tell you right up front what there costs are for each level of granite. They then send you to their wholesaler where you will know the cost of the counters before you leave the wholesaler. Much better than going to the wholesaler and picking a granite just to find out later that it is way to far out of your budget and then having to redo the process. In all phases, making the templates, fabricating the stone, keeping us informed of milestones that we needed to keep (ie making sure we had a sink, faucets, etc.) and installation, they keep their commitments. I would highly recommend using them. We will as the next thing for us is the Master Bath and this where we are going to get counters.

Great job! Fast, beautiful. The installers said we needed to add grout where the backsplash did not meet the countertop after they ran out of the compound they were using but when I checked with the company they were very responsive and sent the installers back out to add the missing grout.

Very professionals, excellent communication, on-time and job well done. Crew on site was professional, courteous, and skilled. We got different quotes and they were one of the best. First, we contacted another company and to be honest, I think they have so much work that the quote was three times the quote received form Natural Stone Design. Second quote was kind of similar to Natural Stone Design, but we would have to buy the slabs, and then the company charge for sqft of installation. So, if you have to buy three slabs (approx. 40 sqft each) at a price of $25/sqft, and you will use approx.85 sqft of the material, that's equal you need 70% of the material, and you are wasting $875 just in materials you will throw away. This company gives you the price per square feet of the counter tops (materials and labor included), so you don't have to buy materials you will waste anyways. Natural Stone Design also offered the removal and disposition of the counter top material, but I did the removal myself since I know someone that can dispose off the material with easy. The quote for the removal was fair-good. If you don't have the space for storage for the existing material and the way to delivered to a disposal center, I recommend you choose the removal and disposition. The final product is outstanding (see the pictures). Just one seam and almost unnoticeable in the whole kitchen counter tops. At the end, they cleaned-up everything and wrapped the quartz with plastic to protect the surfaces from other remaining work around the kitchen (back splash and paint). We are very happy with our contractor Natural Stone Design and will use them again for future projects in the house.
Description of Work: Installation of kitchen counter tops in Silestone (quartz), big kitchen for a total of 85 square feet, one big sink cutout (undermount), one small sink cutout (undermount), installation of the two sinks, and cooktop cutout.

They have a good process. Make sure you understand how it works. Someone comes and looks at your potential job. You are given an estimate based on the potential work. However you must pick out your actual materials to get the true price. Once that is done another person returns to the site fine tunes the measurements. Lastly the crew comes to install. In all the process is very orderly and everyone involved is very professional. They are good at what they do. I recommend this company.

I was so pleased with friendly service when I went to the Natural Stone Design showroom/site. I explained what I was looking for and that it was a small job. I was shown a great selection of remnants to choose from and scheduled for measuring all with an hour. When the counter was ready the workmen came when scheduled and had the counter top installed in less than hour. I will certainly use Natural Stone Design again when the need arises.

We are extremely happy with the service we received from everyone we worked with at Natural Stone Design. We originally had asked for a quote on a quartz product to replace our existing countertops, but Reagan and Tina Winn introduced us to some natural granite options that were actually more affordable. They also helped us pick out a new, stainless-steel, single basin sink, which is much more suited to our needs. We were able to pick out the granite slabs, make an appt. for the measurements, and get the new countertops installed within 3 weeks of our initial visit to their location. We saved some money by doing the demo of the existing countertops ourselves, so everything was prepped when the installers arrived. We had approximately 62 sq ft of granite and the undermount sink installed in just a few hours, and the bar top, which measures approx. 11 feet long x 12 inches wide, with two 45 degree angles, is all one piece. There are only two small seams at the front and back of the sink cutout, and they are virtually invisible. The Winn's also recommended other companies and/or individuals who could help with the plumbing, backsplash, and general contracting work, all of whom were top-notch professionals, and we will rate them in separate reviews. Overall, we had an exceptionally fantastic experience working with everyone involved.

The staff of Natural Stone Design had terrific service and workmanship. They did a great job maintaining communication through the process from slab selection to install. They showed up when they said they would, which is important with a strict construction schedule. Most importantly our client loved their new granite tops. We have used Natural Stone Design on a previous job and had the same great service.

Travis came right out and did the counter measurements, estimate, and thoroughly answered all of my wife's questions. She felt very comfortable with Travis and his estimate. We elected to use Natural Stone Design. We were very happy with their service and the guys that came out and did the installation. One year later still enjoying the new granite counter tops.
Description of Work: We did a complete kitchen renovation in Oct-Dec 12. We decided to act as the General Contractor and hire different contractors for the counter tops, tiling, and cabinets. Using Angie's List, we evaluated several contractors for counter tops and selected Natural Stone Design for a consultation and quote.

Natural Stone Design has completed 4 different projects for us in the last 9 months. We were originally referred to them by my contractor; however, we have used their services 3 additional times since then. I have been out to the remnants yard twice and have had Travis out to my house 6 times to take various measurements and tin plates. Travis is fantastic; he is punctual and a perfectionist! He is great at providing advice and feedback on types of stone for various locations in the house. I have now had my kitchen counters, two bathroom counters and the fireplace hearth replaced by Travis and his team at NSD. All of our projects have turned out beautifully and each time the installers have been scheduled to show, they have done so ON TIME! They are very respectful, kind, and great at what they do. I highly recommend Natural Stone Design for all of your granite, marble and all hard surface stone needs.

Reagan Winn worked with me on the design and located remnants that went well with the three slabs that I had purchased so that we were able to use granite instead of the planned laminate in our pantry and laundry room as well as the kitchen. The work was completed per plan, on time and on budget. The installation crew cleaned up perfectly and we are extremely pleased with the job. The pricing was the best of the six bids that I secured.

It was beautifully done and they did an awesome job. They were very responsive. Their prices were excellent because I ended up using 2 full slabs as it was quite a bit dork, so it was quite a bit of area to cover. They were on time; everything was either on time or slightly early. The workers were courteous, professional and they were very very quick. They did an excellent job. I guess the quality of the work versus the cost was excellent.

They did a great job - estimate and contract was right on. It took about 3 weeks for delivery, and delivered on time, but they fabricate the granite from hand and not cut out from a machine. The fabricators also wear breathing masks - something I did not see at other companies. The install team was three young men, clean, on time and ready to work. There was an issue with the level of my new base cabinet and they were understanding and flexible and came back the next day to finish the install after the cabinet was leveled properly. It was a pleasure to have them in my home.
Description of Work: Fabricated granite (purchased from a granite yard) for my kitchen and bar area. - approx 73 sq feet. The bar design was modified a bit from the standard straight edges for a classy customized look. I did my homework and had looked at four other companies - estimates ranged in price from $4,087, $3600, $3300 (sink cost $200) and Natural Stone Designs (RW Countertops) for $2840 - included a high quality, fine Stainless Steel 18/10 Chrome/Nickel ,Full Undercoating with Pad- Sound Dampening stainless sink.

Fabulous company, excellent experience. The cabinet builder I used gave me the names of two companies for the granite countertop I wanted. I went to the other one first because they were closer, but they did not have what I was looking for. While I was there, they called Raegan Winn (Natural Stone Design owner) to see if he could help me, and he said he could. This competitor highly recommended Natural Stone Design, as had the cabinet builder (Home-A-Rama). When I arrived at Natural Stone Design, I explained what I needed to the owner. He listened well and honed in on what I wanted, in spite of the fact that it wasn't going to be a big sale. The very first piece he showed me was exactly what i was looking for, the price was good, and I didn't look at anything else! He then turned me over to his right-hand man (Travis) who finalized the sale and set up the appointments for measuring and installation. The entire transaction from the time I drove up was probably just 30 minutes, and I'm still thrilled with the purchase--there are no regrets or feelings that I was rushed. Travis arrived promptly as scheduled for the measurements, and per my request, also measured my kitchen countertops. He followed up very quickly by email with a complimentary estimate for a future kitchen project with three different levels of countertop materials. The installation of my laundry room countertop occurred promptly on the date and time originally scheduled, installed with care, and did not take long at all. Everyone I dealt with was courteous, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The final product is beautiful, and I am a very happy customer! I would recommend this company to everyone.
Description of Work: I was looking for a small, 5 foot long granite slab countertop for a new cabinet I had installed in my laundry room. I hadn't thought about a backsplash, but they recommended it and I was glad I had it installed along with the countertop.

Difficult experience. The seams on granite are not the best I have seen. The attitude was that they were doing me a favor and that all mistakes made were because of someone else. Threatened to charge for additional visits until they had to make multiple trips because of their lack of preparedness. They work very fast and do not take the time to do an excellent job. That said, they did their best to correct their errors once they realized that I knew what I was talking about and still had half the money owed.. UPDATE: As you can see from the response below, it is not possible for them to admit an error. Originally I did not mention the poorly mounted sinks. Since they bring it up, the fit of the undermount sinks was poor. The cutout was made from a template provided by manufacturer and was fine. The sloppy part is that the sink was placed and in their haste to depart the job, it was allowed to slump, leaving a 1/8 in. space between sinks and granite, around 75% the sink. The error was the same whether the sink was provided three weeks earlier or the day of installation. Most installers would brace the sink against the granite until the bonding agent had cured enough to hold it tight to the granite. IMPORTANT to note: the sinks fit fine and were mounted without the gaps the second time, without additional cut-out or granite preparation. In other words, the poor fit had nothing to do with the cut-out or lack of undermount sink before installation. Additionally, the only backsplash installed to a countertop is approx. 1/2 in from the wall. No caulk or any filler was placed to fill the void, nor were we told about it. It was discovered after original report. Our intention is to get another contractor to refine the granite seams and fill the void behind the backsplash.

Response from Natural Stone Design
It is always our goal to have completely satisfied customers. It is unfortunate that we were not hired directly by the member but rather through the designer he was using to contract out his work. The "mistake" was actually due to a failure in communication between the member and the designer. We ALWAYS request the physical sink to fabricate any under-mount sinks so we can double check the manufacturers template and make necessary adjustments. The member could not get the sinks until the day he required us to install the tops. He, would not allow us to wait for the sinks to come in and then was unhappy with the cutouts once the sinks were installed. We spent over $1000 attempting to ensure the member was completely satisfied regardless of the fact that, from day one, we were very clear that we do not recommend cutting the holes without the physical sink in hand. We will learn from this encounter and require, without waiver, that all under-mount sinks be in our possession before the hole is cut. Any "threat" of trip charges must have come from the designer the member hired. We have very rarely found it necessary to charge this type of fee. We understand that seams are extremely important and are willing to put ours up against any of our competitors. Our showroom is open M-F 8-4:30 and sample seams are available for potentially wary clients to view. It was my impression throughout the entire process that the member and designer had serious communication problems that unfortunately filtered down to the trades that were hired to do the work.

He's responsive, professional and courteous. We've talked a couple of times and he's even going to go out of his way to get my faucet and sink. He's been very helpful and he is the one I am going to be using. All the quotes I got on granite were roughly in the same ball park for price, but I chose him because he is local.
