First of all, I submitted a review 6/2018 when G and N Roofing replaced my roof and it is not here with other reviews so it tells you they pick and choose what they want to post. as everyone says, Adam is great, he is a smooth talker. After assuring me G and N does not subcontract the work, I hired them to replace my roof, I even choose the middle plan which was not the cheapest supplies but not the most expensive either. But I came home on the first day they were there and asked the workers if they were G and N employees, and to my surprise they were not, they were subcontracted as I did not want. They were on my roof till 9:00 pm hammering and being noisy. The next day was the same. They were there late. On the day the roof was completed, I stood in my driveway with Adam, seeing areas around the perimeter of the roof which were lifted and not looking well done, I let Adam know, he responded with giving it some time; it will settle. It never did and those lifted areas caused rainwater to run underneath and it rotted the wood. A problem I had never had in 17 years living there. So I had the wood replaced and painted, Now I call G and N to fix the problem and guess what? Adam blames the contractor I hired to replace wood and paint for the shingle problem. He can fix problem shingles of course, but for a fee. I still have a warranty on the roof. I should have known 2 years ago this was not going to end well. Shame on them.

Prompt, professional, thoughtful in terms of trouble-shooting and considerate of economically finding a professional solution. Not heavy-handed in selling and trying to upsell unnecessary and superfluous services. Really glad we found these guys -- future roofing issues and needs ... we will go to GRS and Mike's team.

Adam was great to work with! There were some unforeseen delays with this project but he was always just a text away, answering my calls, texts or e-mails quickly. He was honest and direct and coordinated the project well. His crew worked HARD, were respectful and cleaned up well after the project was done. I would definitely recommend G and N!

Adam did a great job fixing the repair. He mentioned he was going to send someone to give me an estimate on my windows and painting for my house I am still waiting. He did not follow up with this estimate I will have to find another company to get me what I need.

Adam was very professional. Went through different options at different price points to help me find a solution. In the end I hired him to do multiple repairs, including fixing some vents, repairing shingles and removing an old antenna and dish. Would definitely recommend.

I have had annoying leaking issues and excessive wear with my existing 16-year old roof on both my home and two story workshop. Particularly with the low slope (2:12 pitch) portion of my front porch and carport running across the entire length of the house. Visible damage on the underside over several years continued to progress and the recent wind driven rain bands produced by Hurricane Harvey brought out evidence of the urgent need to finally repair and replace new architectural shingles on these roofs. It was disheartening to have such a relatively short life out of both roofs. I started by doing much research on latest materials and practices needed to afford a better result on the replacement and went through great effort to acquire bids for the project. The process was frustrating on the latter due to contractors being tied up under the workload created by roof damage over much of the area from San Antonio to Houston and down to the coast. The little response for quotes I got revealed that high prices were in the air and listening to customer's specific requests for repair strategy were largely being ignored. That was until I tried HomeAdvisor and found G and N Roofing. I received immediate response to my bid request with an appointment to survey and discuss my options. Adam listened to my major concerns and was receptive by insuring me that I would get what I wanted. This young man is a go-getter and followed up with quick turn around of his bid estimates. He made himself available to answer any questions I had before proceeding. He even helped me to remove the threat of a tree precariously hanging over my workshop in preparation. This gave me great confidence in doing business with this contractor. Within 1 1/2 to 2 weeks of first meeting him we were good to go on the work. He coordinated the timing of both crew arrival and delivery of the materials perfectly. He remained onsite the whole day and anytime I asked him to confirm the crew was following my specifications he quickly responded by climbing back on the roof (multiple times) to keep the communication clear. As I suspected, 6-sheets of plywood had to be replaced over the porch. He came prepared for that but unfortunately had to guess at the thickness before the old roof was removed. He quickly made a run to get the proper decking. Both he and his crew did a great job on the roof repairs and replacement on both buildings, and cleaned up the mess with little collateral damage. I sure hope the modified bitumen underlayment I specified will eliminate the leaking over the porch and other critical transitions. I am a very happy customer and hope this will be the last time I'll need to deal with another repair during my lifetime here. G and N Roofing backs up their craftsmanship for 10-years so I'm told.
