I paid close to $11,000 for an interstate move from San Jose Ca Ace relocation systems inc. The head mover was hostile and inappropriate during the move and tried to pressure me to sign papers that I had received my high valuable items BEFORE I had examined or even found these items when delivered. Pieces of an antique were falling off during delivery and he denied it was from the antique.He refused to safely secure my inversion table as hardware was loose and according to Michelle Blake from Atlas in her report clearly stated that could have "killed" the person using it. They also did not complete the move, left furniture unassembled, left some obstacles and doorways blocked. But worse than this is their claims process violates their own policy that one has 9 months to file a claim. They gave me less than 2 months, and cut me off from their claim site so that I was unable to complete and list all the damaged goods. They offered a small settlement BEFORE I was finished listing the damages! For example they offered $100 for a Roland electronic keyboard valued at $1100. Given the agreement is full replacement value they are dishonest given many of the keys were documented as not making any sound after they extensively damaged it. What an insult let alone the damage to my antique grand piano. Given their refusal to follow their own guidelines I went through arbitration resolution dispute process with the credit card company that had processed my payment of $11000 for the move. Amex awarded in my favor and Ace relocation has been asked to pay back several thousand dollars. The following day, I received a threatening email from someone who identified themselves as an Atlas employee. She stated that I owed 100 percent of the money back that they were having to credit back to Amex since they lost the dispute. Her letter was so vile I wondered if she really was an Atlas employee. They are an Amex merchant and need to follow the rules of a dispute with a card member instead of threatening me with collections. And then refusing to compensate me AT ALL for the damages! Even though I bought their insurance and they acknowledged there were damages. And again closing the claim well BEFORE 9 months violating their own rules. Finally, corporate shows apathy towards their employees' hostile and likely illegal tactics towards their customers. All official documents should be sent as a permanent file NOT as a WORD document or live attachment that can be deleted and altered AFTER the attachment is sent in an email as Chelsie Drysdale did. She edited out the contents of her original vile letter and replaced it. And this is how they do business?

ACE Relocation is a part of the Atlas Van Lines national moving corporation. The crew that packed our possessions in Texas seemed to be mostly professional. Five men worked for four days, but by the end of the fourth day, they were forgetful and seemed exhausted. There were several drawers they forgot to pack. One of the large desk blotters was merely thrown into the back of the van. We were to discover later when our things were unloaded in Oregon just how unprofessional they were. The delivery team took two days to unload our furnishings; boxes first and then the furniture. We saw item after item come into the house dented, scratched, scraped, gouged or broken. I almost broke down and cried. The packers had used some of our clothing, hats and an expensive wheeled duffel as packing material. A beautiful Jeffersonian desk was broken where the pedestals were attached to the top. Our 50 inch LCD TV no longer has sound. It was packed in a combination of three boxes made to fit with no packing material between the TV and the cardboard. A large 9 foot leather sofa was completely missing. Some of our furniture seemed to have been dragged across concrete on its side, scraping off not only the finish, but also gouging the wood. We hurriedly unpacked boxes throughout the week to see what else had been damaged. Within one week of delivery we filed a claim for 81 items that had been damaged or were missing. One week after we filed a local furniture repairman, hired by the movers, came to ascertain the damage and file a report with them for repairs or replacement. We are still waiting for a decision on how to proceed. Meanwhile, we are unable to use much of our furniture in the house, because repairs have not been done. Our sofa is still missing. We have moved ten times in thirty years. Five of those moves were international. We have never seen damage of this extent and quantity. I did due diligence prior to choosing ACE by checking online for reviews of various moving companies. Every single one had both glowing reports and scathing reviews. I have to place ACE in the lowest rating, because of the extreme level of damage done to our possessions.
Description of Work: We contracted with ACE to pack up our household in Texas and store everything in their warehouse until we found a house to buy and were ready for them to ship it to us in Oregon. Our Texas house was large, so they allotted two days to pack and two days to load onto the van. We were in touch with ACE during the time our belongings were in storage to keep them up to date on our approximate schedule. When the house we bought was ready to receive our things, we notified them. They scheduled the shipment and we eagerly awaited the day our belongings would arrive to be placed in our Oregon home. The delivery crew arrived, and for two days they unloaded our furnishings and placed them where we requested.

Ace Relocation is the only moving company I would use or recommend. This company is the best and they have an incredible and courteous staff. Eric came out to give us a quote. He was very professional, gave us a great price and met all deadlines. The follow up on everything was excellent. They took such good care of all of our items and they were very helpful and accommodating. We moved my mom last May and then my dad last month and it was smooth sailing. I wouldn't even bother getting quotes from anyone else. You won't be disappointed!!
