The entire process went very smoothly with Yuras Roofing Company. We have had bad experiences with contractors in the past, and were just thrilled to be working with such an amazing company. Bryan Yuras surveyed our home, provided shingle samples and recommendations, and then closely supervised the entire roofing event. He even took several hours out of his day to talk with us on the phone and walk around on the roof with us to describe in great detail the work he was doing and why. He is clearly an expert in his field. The complete re-roof was completed in just 1 1/2 days. The crew worked very hard to beat the rain that was headed in, and we greatly appreciated their dedication. His crew completely cleaned up at the end of every day (which we have never seen another contract do so thoroughly). And, Bryan himself made sure that when the job was complete that all nails and other debris were removed from our yard. Additionally, Bryan provided many services free of charge that were above and beyond what he had quoted. This extra level of service and committment was outstanding. Bryan Yuras was the most capable and professional contractor that we have ever met. We wish everyone we worked with was of his caliber. We highly recommend Yuras Roofing Company.

From the first phone call requesting an estimate to the final shingle on the roof, this was one of the least stressful repairs I have ever experienced. Professionalism from each and every employee at this company. Bryan was on the job site every day, to be certain it was going smoothly, his crew arrived on time, and when they left each evening the only thing remaining was the dumpster needed for the next days work. They cleaned as they went, and repeatedly checked to be certain no nails were left to damage tires. Just a great experience all around. When you spend that amount of money (which included new leafless gutters too), you anticipate a certain level of service. Bryan and his crew at Yuras delivered beyond my expectations. I got a Texas Vet loan in which Mr. Yuras went above and beyond his respondsibility by filling out paperwork and having to go and sign on 2 seperate occasions paperwork at the closing office. He also had to sign and notirize paperwork after the job was finished. My roof is beautiful and my house has a real curb appeal. The workmen took 1 and a half days to tear off the old roof and put on the new roof. They were very professional and they worked very hard. My roof also has a limted life time warranty (roughly 50 years). It has been 2 days since the roof was completed and I have not seen any problems. I would recommend Yuras roofing company to everyone.

Yuras roofing did an exceptional job with our roof and related services. We have worked with other roofers and these guys were BY FAR the best. Not only did they do a quality job at a good price, they were easy to work with on the contract, and everyone on the job was nice and considerate. Their customer service and workmanship should be the example to other contractors (not just in roofing) in San Antonio.

It didn't, they never followed up.

They are a family run organization. The person I dealt with was just excellent! They were patient and accommodating.

Robert Yuras came out the day we called. We walked around the house and discussed problem areas and what we'd like. We also told him we'd had an exterminator out the day before to treat for carpenter ants in the sunroom roof. He said that if we bought ant killer, he would have it put down under the new shingles. He showed us a sample board of shingles and we selected one. He said he would email us a bid within a couple of days. He did. We said we wanted to go forward and they came out and started work about a week later. In the meantime we went to Lowes and bought 8 lbs of Diatomaceous Earth (crawling bug killer), one of the similar products used by exterminators. It is safe for indoor and outdoor use, even in gardens. As the roofers worked, they put down the ant killer. It took two days for the roofers to complete the job. The workers did a great job of keeping the work site clean as they worked. We highly recommend Yuras Roofing.

I have never had a big house project go so smoothly before--we had absolutely no problems with anything. The company is family owned, and it shows. The office personnel were very helpful, the owner and supervisor were polite and attentive, the work was of the highest quality. The price was very competitive and the job was done in 6 days, for a 2800 square foot house with a 2 car garage. The crew cleaned up thoroughly after they were finished. I checked into industry standards for what weight felt they should use, and what gauge galvalume, etc. before we signed the contract and Yuras met or exceeded what is commonly expected. They stand behind their work with a good warranty. I would definitely recommend them! If only every house project could be so hassle-free and look so good!!!

Wonderful experience. Quality company.

Yuras was one of three roofing companies that bid on the job. I was impressed by the professionalism of the people on the ground and on the phone. Pricing was competitive and the materials that were used were very good. The main work was done in two days and the cleanup was good. My only complaint is that initially the replacement wood used around the edge of the roof was not the same dimension as the original wood and so it looked bad. It felt to me that it took too long for that situation to be remedied. Once done, the wood matched well. My second complaint was that even though I was charged $145 for "painting-minimum," the replacement wood was not painted. The only thing that was painted were the metal roof vents and the ends of the valleys where they extend beyond the roof. I would recommend Yuras but would caution that you must watch the work being done and make sure that you get what you expect.

The veterans loan process took a lot longer than expected but Robert Yuras honored all of the estimates even though they were past the original expiration dates. After the financing was finally secured and the repairs scheduled, it started to rain. Robert delayed the repairs until the weather was good so no additional damage would be done. His people were very professional and friendly. They even did a clean-up of the front and back yards even though it was not something that they were required to do. The repair was completed within the specified time frame and budget. I am extremely satisfied with his work.

It went very well except a few minor irritations. First of all, the shingles were delivered by a hired company much earlier in the morning on the first day. I didn't expect this and was caught in the shower when the doorbell rang. The delivery truck was too long and low and could not go up the very slight grade driveway. They ended up leaving the shingles on the driveway instead of the roof. The poor roofers had to work an extra hard and longer day to get the job done. I was not home when the project was finished and noticed a patio lamp and plant had been damaged. Since it was after hours, I left a message at the main office. Donna Yuras promptly called me the next day to apologize and immediately issued a credit for my estimated damages to the bill. She took my word for the damage and estimated cost and didn't feel it was necessary to send someone to confirm what I reported. I thought this was very classy and professional. It was nice not to worry about producing receipts, arguing or haggling. I will hire Yuras Roofing again in a heart beat.

I was impressed from the very beginning. When I called, I was told that they were extremely backed up and didn't have availability for about a month - even to do an estimate. I explained that I was in the process of purchasing a home and had a certain amount that would be placed in escrow, but had to have the estimate in hand prior to closing. She told me that she would see what she could do. She called back and had a date that worked with my timeframe. Bryan Yuras came out and did his inspection and left a sample of shingles (which no other company had done). We received an estimate via email very quickly, AND we also received a hard copy of the estimate and a thank you letter (thanking us for considering their company) in the mail. Their quote beat everyone else's by a long-shot and I never once felt like I was given any type of sales pitch or being forced into something I didn't want and/or need. No pressure at all with these guys. They don't require any payment until the job is finished and you are happy with what they've done. I was very wishy-washy about the colors - Bryan brought the whole array of actual shingles for me to look at. Then he sat and spoke with me for about 30 minutes about the colors and options. Bryan called while he was dropping off the shingles at my house and said he noticed an area of pipe that stuck out further than it was supposed to but told me not to worry because they would go ahead and correct that while they were doing the work. They use the same GAF materials that the other companies quoted for literally thousands of dollars more. They also included 40 lin. ft. of ridgevent (which other companies wanted to charge hundreds more as an add-on). The crew that came out finished in less than 2 days (8:30am to about 8pm the first day, and 8:30am to about noon the second day). Everything was cleaned up and there was really no inconvenience with any messes or anyone being in the way. My roof looks wonderful and I can't wait until we actually receive some rain so that I can better assess that aspect of quality. (We have been up on the roof and it all looks like it's great quality, but I'm no roof expert) They installed a rain diverter over my entry area (which another company wanted to charge extra for), they fixed/re-constructed an area of rotten fascia near my entry way (for about $500 cheaper than the other company), and they even painted/matched the vent/piping. The only thing that I think could have been done differently was a follow-up "walk-thru" of the finished product. Otherwise, I'm very happy with everything that has been done - price, quality, professionalism, etc.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Scheduled appointment for estimate. Very prompt and fast turnaround on estimate. (Yuras was one of five different roofers est. I received). Once, I accepted their bid, they came out and carefully analyzed the roof - and planned the project. They scheduled a date. On the scheduled date, a crew of approx. 7 showed up on time and started work. The owner, who was managing my install - Mr. Robert Yuras - visited the site each day and was available for any questions, at anytime. The crew leader, "Olvi", was absolutely excellent. Between Mr. Yuras and Olvi - they treated this job as it they were roofing there own house. It is an impeccable job -well done. I was kept well informed, they cleaned up each day, and went above and beyond on every aspect of this job to provide extraordinary customer service. The Yuras family demonstrated that they are very sincere and serious about customer satisfaction. The company is a "real" business and does not require any down payment - you are invoiced after the job is completed and after the owner himself has inspected the job. This is the way is "used to be" when I was growing up in San Antonio, and this is the way it should be. I have dealt with many contractors over the past 18 years, from flooring, to home re-wiring, & remodeling - all have been very difficult project. It was REFRESHING to work with Yuras Roofing - their integrity and ethic were above any I have seen in this town in a long, long time. I specifically had to re-join Angie's list just to write this review. My review has been delayed due to a busy schedule. It has been just over 1 year since this roof was installed and there have been NO LEAKS, my utility bill has averaged 25% to 30% lower each month, and I have had numerous people contact me, wanting to know who did my roof - including two architects.

They did pretty well. They also did a great job in cleaning up the mess caused by the roof replacement.

I contacted the Yuras organization to inquire about their attic ventilation solutions for our detached garage. In calling after business hours last evening, I left a voice mail and received a prompt return call the next morning. While the representative stated their current workload would not allow them to take on my service related project, I certainly understood and appreciated the courtesy phone call. Most companies with an abundance of work would have ignored my voice mail and never returned my call.

Joe Yuras was very professional and easy do deal with. He completely explained everything they would do and the products that would be used. We have an addition to the house that is only 7 years old and did not need a new roof. His challenge was to match the new and the old roofs and he did an outstanding job; it's hard to tell the difference. They basically got the roof done in one day and came back the next morning to finish the clean up. The office staff is also very easy to deal with; quick to respond to email and phone calls.

They have done a five day job in three. They are awesome and has done a great job. He is very personable and lives in the neighborhood. He as the owner came out to set everything up and answered any questions. He came back that afternoon to see I we had anymore questions. He has been on the job and ut to the sight every day. He is very hands on and a very nice guy.
