Price seemed quite high but service was great - arrived earlier than expected and called prior to arrival. Was careful not to make additional mess. Would definitely refer to friends and family.

The Following events took place between January 11 2013 ? January 26 2013 On January 11 2013 I called Wills Plumbing to fix a slow shower drain and an occasional toilet over flow. A plumber was dispatched and was approximately 2 hours late. He asked where the Sewer clean out was, and I was unable to show him. He looked around the whole house and in the front and back yard. We came to the conclusion that it must be in the alley and he asked that I clear all the brush and dir from my fence line so he could locate it. When we could not find it, he told me to call SAWS and have the come out and install one. The then went to see the slow drain and overflowing toilet. He removed the toilet and proceeded to auger out approximately 60 gallons of sewage. He left my toilet in the shower stall, a 60 gallon trash bag of waste and mud and sewage on my white tile floor and previously pristine 77 year old wood floors. Saws cam the next day, Saturday, and informed me that the clean out is actually the sewage line, under the manhole cover directly behind our house in the alley. They informed me that this is common in historic areas. The Plumber did not come back until the following Tuesday to scope our sewage line, unfortunately he brought the broken scope so he returned Wednesday with the good one. He located the blockage and told me to have a 3 ft x3 ft hole dug in an Area he marked with orange spray paint. The sewage pipe was 6 ft deep and 1 ft over from where he marked; he stated that he has a deviation of +/- 10% so he claims to be right on. My gardener (who dug the hole) disagreed. The plumber did not return until Thursday, and informed us that the hole was too small and he had to hire a backhoe for Friday. On Friday the backhoe never showed. At 1500 Friday I called Wills plumbing and asked to speak with Will, I was told Will does not take calls but his field manager would call me back. I explained my dilemma and the field manager had no idea what I was taking about. He came to my house, looked at the hole in the ground and called Will. Will showed up with his entire plumbing staff. I saw about 7 trucks in my driveway. He had the plumbers dig until 8pm that night and decided to call it a day. He stated that a backhoe would be at my house first thing Saturday AM. It was. Will arrived on Saturday and moved the Toilet from the Shower and placed it back where it belonged, covering up that whole in my bathroom floor. His crew re-scoped my sewage line and tried to come up with the best fix. We decided to replace the existing clay pipe with like size PVC. He stated it would be a week or so to do the work, in the mean time, my line was routed with a water auger and they placed a temporary sewage line for the weekend. Most of the rest of the week was uneventful, other than a couple of logistic issues that they resolved immediately. The Inspector came on Wednesday afternoon and signed off on there work, but I did not hear from Wills until that following Friday, after I called to ask when they were going to cover the hole in my yard. The hole was covered on the 26th, but they left a terrible mess. I called Will, he promised to send a crew, intead he sent the plumber who originally botched the job and an apprentice. The pressure washer they had was broken and they just made a bigger mess. I paid, a contemplated who I would rate my experience. My conclusions are that Wills plumbing is a highly rated Angie?s list contractor, and will typically do a good to great job on regular fixes, but complex jobs or historic homes problems, I am not sure they are equipped to handle. The plumber they assigned me was incompetent at best, and was definitely not up to task to do a project this big. Unfortunately he was not well liked by the Staff at Will?s and was consistently set up for failure; dispatchers would argue with him when he would make requests, old or broken equipment was signed out to him and finally his request for a digging crew was stopped by someone in his chain. He was a bad plumber, but give the guy a break. I am sure he was fired by now or will be soon. The point here is that I as the customer should not be aware of any of these problems, but it was painfully apparent. I have not decided if I would use Will?s Plumbing in the future, they are somewhat expensive for most jobs (although this one was very cheap). But Will seems like an upstanding businessman and obviously my experience is somewhat of an outlier. My plumbing works, the job did not destroy us financially (my biggest fear) and after 5 months and $500 in gardening repairs to my yard, the place almost looks like before.

We had a leak, we had water on the floor, we turned the water off at the street, we had no water. I called Will's Plumbing at 8:30 am. Joseph arrived on time at 1pm. Joseph was here for five hours. He found the leak quickly. The leak was behind the wall, about 6 inches down. The fix was simple and his estimate was for an ordinary job. But the leak was in a difficult place to reach, next to a vertical 2x4, in a notch of the 2x4 attached to the foundation, and close to the outside wall. His pipe cutting tool could not fit in the space. He worked for hours making the space big enough for his tools. After that the job was easy. The estimate was still the price. Total time nine hours from my call until the water was back on. Thank you Will's Plumbing and bravo Joseph!

Will's Plumbing responded in a timely manner to our request for assistance with our leaking hot water heater tank. Ian and Marc were very courteous and professional. They drained the hot water heater which stopped the leak and had a replacement hot water heater ready to go, but we were interested in a quote for a tankless water heater system. We accepted their bid for the tankless system. The next day they installed the system. Will's Plumbing made arrangements for the city inspector to approve the installation. During the city inspector's examination of the installation, he made repeated comments about the quality of the copper pipe welding. On the green card issued by the inspector, he wrote "nice work". Ian and Marc came back after the inspection to remove the test gages used by the city inspector and made sure everything was working properly. We then needed to contact our utility provider to upgrade to a high pressure gas regulator. It took about 2 weeks for the utility provider to complete the upgrade. The system works great. We will use Will's Plumbing in the future for any plumbing needs.

Ian and Mark came on time, did fix two of my toilets, flush valves and flappers for the toilets. Yes the price was reasonable.

I called on Tuesday (16th April) to make an appointment, and it was scheduled for 19th April 2013. Anthony arrived on time and completed the work in about 1 hour. He was courteous, professional and answered all my questions.

I had typed a looooong report on Friday May 3rd, when the service was performed. Apparently, did not save to Angieslist, so here we go: I was woken up to my my wife screaming bloody murder on Friday morning, as the result of there not being any hot water and her taking a very cold shower. (Remember the cold front and we didn't enable the heater function the night before) Upon a very droopy eyed inspection, I found the water heater to be leaking from the bottom of the water heater. Upon closer inspection, I found the last service receipt to state last service on 4-11-1999!!! We moved into the home in 2009, so I'm looking at a fourteen year old water heater, right. Nope. Manufacturer date states 1996, so my seventeen year old water heater had gone kaput. I'm a bit frugal, so I looked to the local DIY stores and Appliance warehouses, and priced some water heaters. I thought about the gas line and decided to look into this Angieslist account I had purchased a month or two ago. Will's Plumbing and Testing Service had numerous positive remarks, the highest in numbers I believe. So, I get to the office, called Will's and spoke with Roger. Roger probably was very courteous and reassured me that they would have someone out that day, between 3-5. Calls me in 45min, and states he has a guy wrapping up sooner that expected, and could have someone out at lunch. What could be a very long and detailed story, I'll sum up here. Joseph actually beat me to the house, 15 minutes earlier than expected. Although I had said I thought I knew the water heater was out, he insisted on inspecting it, to rule out any other possibilities. He also took the time to explain and show to me why it would need replacing. I could really go on even further about the courteousness and professionalism and thoroughness of Joseph from Will's Plumbing, but this is a long enough read as it is. So to sum it up: The time and effort of getting the tools, truck and install myself = $550 plus days of no hot water Will's Plumbing install of new and removal of old in less than two hours!! = $1100 Wife waking up to cold shower and coming home and taking a hot (I mean HOT, didn't realize how inefficient our old wt htr was) = PRICELESS

I was out of town, they came in and very quickly put in new York air conditioner.

I had a leak at the supply line to a water heater due to age and corrosion. I called on Monday morning and had a limited window of time when I would be home. They accommodated my schedule and arrived promptly. Joseph recommended replacing both the hot and cold water lines because corrosion was evident on both. Gave me a price and went to work. Actually replaced three lines - one to the "pop-off" valve, too. Joseph was fast, efficient, and left everything in good shape. Joseph took a picture to show me his work so I wouldn't have to climb the stairs.

Mark came out on Sunday for quote mark came back out Monday to perform job.

The company sent a very young guy, and I wondered about how experienced he was. After looking at the work to be done, he discovered that he didn't have the parts - and had to leave twice to get them. The new hose bib on the outdoor faucet works well. The 2 toilets no longer have a slow leak, but neither one seems to flush as well as it did before the repair (both tanks fill more slowly and 1 bowl empties more slowly). The kitchen faucet required a new cartridge. I noticed soon after the man left that the handle on the faucet was somewhat loose, but the real problem is that it often gets "stuck" when the water is on at full flow. I have figured out that you have to gently re-align the handle to get it to turn off, but sometimes others tend to want to force it down. The kitchen faucet unit is still working nearly 2 years later, so the work was done satisfactorily. However, I will probably choose another plumber next time.

Overall the job went very well. They obvoiusly knew what they were doing and I felt the price was reasonable for the work performed.

Very pleased with overall service from beginning to end. We first spoke to Roger and scheduled a service call for our water heater. He gave us an estimated time frame for that day and mentioned that he would also call us back when the technician was en route and who to be expecting. Joseph arrived shortly after I got the callback from Roger and and got right to work on our water heater. I explained to him that the pilot light had gone out and wouldn't stay lit after numerous attempts to reset it. He ran a couple of tests, and explained the hows/whys of the water heater/pilot light issue, and then gave us several options as to how to proceed. He then replaced a burned out thermal couple, installed a new one and cleaned out the burner. Afterward he ran a few more tests to make sure the pilot light would stay lit. Joseph was very thorough in his work and had a friendly, courteous and professional demeanor. I appreciate good service and will always commend those who employ and train hard working people who promote quality service and craftsmanship. Thanks so much for a job well done!

Mark diagnosed dirt/grit in hot water line stemming from prior work - went ahead and rebuilt valves due to some corrosion on springs & cracks in rubber seal.

Reasonably priced. Came when said they would. Very professional, helpful and knowledgeable.

The schedulaer was courteous & helpful Josh the plumber was courteous, knowledgeable and timely. We were very pleased with them.

The estimated price was $1,400. Their price may be out of our range so we are going to explore other options of resolving the issue. Originally, they came out and the first gentleman looked at the situation and then said he did not think they could do the kind of work we needed. We decided to try another type of contractor but the lady from their office called us back to follow up on the visit to our house. We explained what happened and she told us they did that kind of work so they sent somebody else out who did a great job with the estimate. They also gave us the estimate fee back saying it was for the inconvenience of having someone else come back out.

Plumbers arrived on time, were courteous and completed the job of expected and within a reasonable time frame.

I was very happy with them except for that I think they were a little expensive. They were very good. The technician was on time. He ran into some really heavy duty snags on the piping but he worked his way through it and made sure the job was done. He was fine. He spent a while there. I'm hesitant about the cost because I don't use plumber that much. The job was first class quality. He stayed there and made sure that it was right, that the clog was cleaned up. He was very professional. He wouldn't cut corners.

Josh was great stayed till job was done! Great to work with, easy to work with! Would call again
