I am sorry you feel the price was high, but it is expensive to operate a plumbing company due to the shortage of plumbers (especially ones who are conscientious about their work) in this state. It takes 8,000 hrs. of on the job training and then you must pass a written test by the State of Texas in order to become a licensed journeyman plumber. Response from Will's Plumbing & Testing Service
I spoke with several people concerning the grade we received. There is room for improvement on our part. If this had been a simple plumbing repair with only one person to deal with, we probably would have gotten a better review. In this instance, we had the people who owned the property (who are out of state), the people who lived in the property and are cared for by others, and people who managed the property. The people who called us took care of the property, we had to write a proposal and send it to the people out of state. Once we got approval, we had to call in for locates (Dig Tess, the organization that approves/marks any utilities....it's the law, Call Before You Dig) then get the excavation crew out to dig below the foundation. Once all that was done, we went out and performed the repairs and backfilled the excavation. Unfortunately we did not perform the service promptly enough and sometimes they were left feeling that not everyone in the office was "in the loop", We are working on this, I did speak to the parties here locally, but have had no response from the people out of state. We want customers for life. We are working hard to turn some things around that had fallen off track in the last 6-8 months and I feel we are making progress. Description of Work: At 2:00PM came home to discover we had a water main leak. Water was pouring up from the ground. I checked Angie's List and called Will's Plumbing based on excellent ratings. They came a few hours later and repaired the leak. The two gentlemen were exceptionally nice and professional. Far exceeded our expectation for timely and quality service. Would recommend to anyone.

Description of Work: I am in California and thought that I could trust the site referral. Ultimately, only the initial conversation went well. The associate that took my inquiry was professional, pleasant, and promptly responded with initial relevant information. After that, nothing went as described. I didn't get the discount for the initial visit. I didn't get the results of the visit until after several requests over a couple of weeks (trying to get a water heater repaired/replaced). By the time I received satisfactory information and the expensive estimate, I'd already received two other non Angie ' s List estimates and had the job completed. I complained but never received more than my estimate and an apology (no mention of the discrepancy in the cost compared to the coupon they offered at that time). Maybe if I lived at the property it would have been easier to address.
