Description of Work: Over a weekend, we smelled gas in our home. Our local utilities company identified the furnace and stove as the source. Will's Plumbing said they had technicians who could work on HVAC and stoves, so we requested they send someone out. We were willing to pay the weekend rate of $108. Anthony came out on Sunday and couldn't find the leak. He wanted to come back Monday with some additional equipment he didn't have in his truck. We scheduled for 5 pm and I called earlier that afternoon to verify the time. By 6 pm, no one showed and we didn't receive a phone call. I called again to see when he was coming and the cause of the delay. The General Manager was very polite, but it was frustrating that they were not responsive in keeping us informed of any delays. Anthony finally came. He still could not find the leak and was reticent to repair something that wasn't broken. He advised we call the utilities company, spoke with them on the phone, and recommended we have them come out and verify the leak. He was at our house for 30-40 min and didn't charge us for his time because no repair was made. Turns out, he was spot on. The utilities company returned and verified there was no leak. He saved us a possible $500 repair that we didn't need. His honesty and persistence was very much appreciated. We'd just like to see improvement with calling customers to confirm appointment times and delays.

On one end I am very glad our technician did the right thing and did not charge you for the gas test (which was not needed). Sometimes utility companies our not always correct. As for as the office not keeping you informed of delays is very concerning to me. There are no excuses in my book as it is policy that our office communicates with our clients on delays and arrivals. I apologize for the miscommunication and I will definitely make sure are staff is aware of how inconvenient this is for our customers. Description of Work: Their customer service is outstanding. They called when the repairman was going to be delayed. They diagnosed my problem on the water heater and I had to pay $32 to ship the part next day. The part was delayed 2 days and we finally got the part Thursday after we had it ordered the previous Saturday. The repairman replaced a part that was under warranty but it stayed lit for less than 20 minutes after he left. They came back the next day and eventually fixed the water heater, again, the parts were under warranty. So even though the parts were under warranty, I still payed $720 to repair the water heater. I could have purchased a higher quality brand new water heater at Home Depot for $600. The water heater works now but I feel the repair was very expensive and I have no guarantee it will continue to work

Thank you for your review on this matter. After looking through our records I show that we went out and diagnosed your Whirlpool warranty water heater (covered under parts) and at first technical support authorized sending a new pilot assembly (which I believe they charged you the shipping). Once the pilot assembly was installed by our plumber he checked that everything was working properly. The very next day you called us saying the pilot had gone out again. After arriving the plumber went through technical support again and found that you also needed to replace the gas control valve on the water heater (some times multiple parts go out within days of each other). At that time you did not want to wait for shipping so we had an additional charge for running to the supply house and getting the part for same day installation. All in all we were able to get the water heater functioning properly after working with your warranty on the water heater. Unfortunately you are not the first customer to have complaints with this particular warranty program and in light of this Will's Plumbing & Testing Service has changed some of our policies to better accommodate our Whirlpool warranty program customers. We appreciate these reviews very much for without them we would not be able to continue growing and changing to better serve our community. It has always been Will Shilling's (owner of Will's) philosophy that if "we" don't take care of our customer's, someone else will. Thank you for you review. We replace/repair quite a few shower valves here in San Antonio. It is important that you repair your shower valve the minute you notice a leak for 2 very good reasons: 1. the leak can permanently damage the valve body and will have to be replaced 2.
