Will's Plumbing & Testing Service

We discovered a sewer problem on a Sunday & called WIll's Plumbing since we were so pleased with a previous repair they had done for us. The same plumber - Ian - just happened to be on call that weekend & came to our house that same afternoon. He dug a deep hole around our 2-way clean-out & used a small "snake", then a larger one. He patiently tried to work the camera through the line but after awhile, realized that a blockage in the line was impeding his progress. He then fully explained to us a couple of options & upon our agreement to continue with the repair, made arrangements to have the yard trenched the following day. Once a 4' deep/50' long trench was dug up, Ian went to work to find the cause & make the repair. He found that our cement sewer line had corroded. Also, another plumber my husband had used a few years ago (son of a neighbor) had used the wrong connector (rubber instead of metal with screws) which caused shifting between pipe & connection, allowing dirt to enter into the sewer line. Also this same plumber had used a valve with a 90 degree angle vs. a sloping angle that prevented proper flow of sewage & water. (NOTE: A good example of why we now only use Angie's List providers). Ian & his assistant installed 50' of PVC sewer pipe & two properly-designed 2-way clean-outs with the proper connectors. He & his assistant put the bricks & large stones that were dug up with the dirt underneath the PVC to provide extra support. He then made arrangements for the City's plumbing inspector to examine the completed job & we received a notice from the City the next day that the inspector had approved the repair. Ian then arranged to have the trench filled in the next day & personally returned to insure the job had been finished properly. All along, Ian was extremely friendly, courteous, & knowledgeable & worked with us to & Cindy at the office to get the job done for a reasonable price. We are so impressed with Ian, Cindy, & with Will's Plumbing overall that we recommend this company to our friends and family for all of their future plumbing (and A/C and heating) needs. I called on Saturday for an appointment the following Monday to fix a stuck disposal. The technician was on time and proceeded with the repair in a professional manner and did not try to sell me a new disposal. He spent 30 minutes on the job, explained what was wrong. Altogether it was a good experience if somewhat expensive.

Roger and Josh were very responsive. I am out of town selling my home so it is important to have someone I can trust and it was a great comfort that they arrived within 30 minutes of my call. I felt that he did a great job and he also sent me pictures. It is just always hard to pay $490 for a job like that, but I was not able to call and compare prices in all fairness. I would definitely use Will's Plumbing again.

Came home to water on floor. Immediately turned off water main and then got on Angie's List for a Plumber. There were plenty in my area, but decided on WIll's Plumbing based on reviews online. I called and spoke to Helen, who immediately sent my situation to a dispatcher. Despite being on the other side of town - literally - they arrived within 40 minutes. Ian came in and located leak behind the wall just by listening to it with his ear! He laid down a plastic tarp, brought in trashbags and a bag of tools. He cut a neat little square and there was a pinhole leak. We were lucky that there was drainage that allowed water to seep into ground and damage was minimal. Ian kept me informed as to what he was doing and why. He had to replace copper pipe and did so quickly. He gave us an estimate but warned us it might go up if leak was in slab. Thankfully, it was not. He cleaned up everything and left the area behind the washing machine cleaner that it was before! He did not try to sell us anything but answered all our questions regarding water softeners and general hard water questions. From phone call to completed repair - it was 3 hours. AMAZING! Hope I don't have any more emergencies, but would definitely use Will's again!

I called Saturday morning and had to leave a voice mail. I received calls back on both my cell and my home phone. I had advised I needed someone out to clear my main line after 2 pm. They advised they would have someone out and were waiting for my call back. I called back and Eddie arrived about 30 minutes later. He removed the cap from the clean-out valve and the fluid was at the top. He tried to clean out the line twice, but wasn't sure the snake was going the correct direction. So he used the shop vac to drain enough fluid so that he could see the opening hole leading to the sewer. The third time was the charm. He cleared the line. He talked with me about methods to keep it clear and looked at the chemicals I have been using. He was very thorough and professional. Based on his service and professionalism, I would use Will's again and definitely recommend them to my friends.

[EDIT] - Will, the owner, called me the day after the failed estimate and apologized and stated this wasn't the norm. We had a good conversation and I agreed to have someone come out at 4:45pm that day to provide an estimate. I left work at 4pm and my wife told me the guy was already there. In the end they were $2000 more expensive than the next closest bid for the same work. I called last week and spoke to someone about getting an estimate to replumb my entire house. I was told a plumber/manager would call me back later in the day. That afternoon the same person called me back and said no one was available to call me but he would schedule the appointment for Monday @ 4:30pm. At 6:20pm Monday evening someone from Will's plumbing called and stated he was 20 minutes away. I told him not to bother and he was adamant that I wanted to cancel the job. I told him I didn't want an estimate any longer as they didn't even have the curtsey to call me and let me know they will be over 2 hours late.

Very polite when I called. I picked a 2 hour time frame and asked to be notified 1/2 hour before technician came. This was done. Technician very nice & efficient. Answered my questions and explained what he was doing. All plumbing works now. Total cost was $220 after subtracting the $24 Angie's list discount.

I initially contacted a plumber, against the better judgement of my husband, because my hot water heater was not working properly at the home we purchased a few weeks ago. When I called the dispatcher was very courteous and informed me that someone could come out and give a diagnosis for 69.95. A plumber arrived within hours and after a quick look at the panels he told me that the elements and thermostat would need to be replaced. I proceeded to ask him how did he know without testing the element and thermostat and he told me that since the temperature was set at "very hot" he assumed that the elements were blown. I insisted that he perform an accurate test considering that I was paying for a diagnosis. He proceeded to tell me that he would have to drain the unit and remove the element and I was completely content with that course of action, he then reluctantly said "let me run and get something". He came back several minutes later and before testing the unit he said "I contacted my boss and he said that your unit needs to be completely replaced because there is sediment built up at the bottom". Again this is all prior to an accurate diagnosis and testing. At this point I'm completely dumbfounded and irritated, he then tested the unit with a meter and said that elements are not functioning properly but still insisted that the entire unit needed to be replaced. To say that this plumber was suspect and shady is an understatement! Later, we simply turned down the temperature and reset the unit and what do you know, the water heater is working again, without the replacing the elements, thermostat or the whole unit. Bottom-line BEWARE.

Mark is very knowledgable, patient and hard working. The new ptrap assembly required time and inginuity to bring together but Mark had a great solution. Work quality excellent as was the clean up.

Everything took 2 days due to rain, but the problem was fixed in a professional manner.

This was a coupon package that included the disposal unit. The Will’s crew not only made the installation, but they also re-routed the pipes beneath the sink to create a better flow. They also performed a pressure test for plumbing leaks while here. Highly professional, competent and an excellent experience!

Anthony came and gave me an estimate in which I accepted, and they called for an installation time. Then they came and installed everything. I am very pleased with everything.

Work was performed neatly and professionally, and cleanup afterwards was thorough. Plumber was polite, pleasant and helpful. Altogether a great experience!!

Worst experience ever. Will never be calling this company again. Took photos of plumbing work done to show my home owners insurance company the dishonest work that was done.

Overall, the experience was great. I contacted them on a Wednesday and they scheduled a visit from 8-10 am the next day. Mark called me about 30 mins. prior to let me know he was coming in and inspected my water heater. After some deliberation, he was able to give me an idea of what he felt was necessary. After he stepped outside, Mark noticed that my water pressure was a little too high for my household appliances and recommended a pressure release valve for my residence and that it was necessary for code and to also protect my appliances. After receiving my quote, Mark later called me a few hours later to mention that there was a way to decrease my overall costs if performed some of the leg work by purchasing and having on hand a water heater. Unfortunately, I went with Home Depot which offered the same services but had their brand equity, warranty and the ability to finance with multiple options.

I called the plumbers yesterday when the leak was discovered. Later the same day they came out. They saw what the problem was, got the correct pipe, & installed it at no charge. I believe there was no leak during the initial installation, so I don't think the first installer was at fault in any way. The worker that came out this time was Larry & we really liked him.

Through the holidays we did not have enough hot water for more than 2 showers in the mornings. We'd had problems before, too. I called and requested someone to look at our hot water heater. The person I spoke to on the phone was super nice and professional! She said she'd send someone out today! When the repairman arrived, we opened the water heater closet door. Much to my embarrassment, the temperature was set to "warm". Oh, my goodness! So, the repairman set the temp to "hot" and checked the warranty date on the heater to let me know it has 3 years left on its warranty in case I have any more problems. He was so nice about my embarrassment! I will definitely call them if I have any plumbing needs in the future. Great people!

My husband was very impressed with the tech. He was very professional and explained everything that he was doing. He did not leave until he was sure all drains were working properly. We will definitely use Will's Plumbing for any other plumbing needs that might arise.

When they were trying to reconnect the pipes, the guy in the attic knocked off the paneling that I'd just had put up the prior weekend. He didn't even try to nail the paneling back on the wall. Also, they had to remove the vanity in the bathroom to work on the connection and didn't do a very good job of replacing the marble splash on the side wall. I'd asked for an estimate to run a gas line to a cast iron stove that I have. I was given a price which I thought was high, but I was going to go for it. When one of the guys told me they were going to have to cut 16 X 16 holes (2) in my walls to access the gas line I decided I didn't want it done by them. From a previous conversation, I knew that they would not repair the holes in my walls which would fall on me to do. After they knocked the paneling off, I wasn't confident in their abilities any more.
