Will's Plumbing & Testing Service

After noticing a hot spot on our slab, we figured we had a slab leak. Called Will's based on their Angie's list reviews. After they explained their pricing for pinpointing and capping the leak, they were able to locate the problem within the 2 hours covered by the basic charge. After that, they wrote an estimate for installing a bypass through the ceiling -- which is complicated since my home has no attic. In addition, they determined that the pressure on my water line was too high, and recommended expansion tanks on my hot water heaters, as well as a pressure regulation valve. I agreed to the price (to which the leak locating fee, as well as my Angie's discount was applied), and they returned two days later. The pipe bypass was much easier and required less destruction than I expected. The plumbers (Jeff and Mark) worked hard to ensure that they only made cuts in the Sheetrock where necessary. The pressure reduction valve, on the other hand, was much more complicated than originally envisioned, due to larger than typical supply pipe diameter. There was also an issue with the connection between the main water supply and the sprinkler system that complicated the addition of the pressure reduction valve. Despite having to return twice, Jeff was finally able to add the valve and correct all the problems, without increasing the initial amount of his estimate. Each time he left, he made sure that the water in our house was on. I appreciate the service that I received from Will's, and will not hesitate to call them in the future.

I"m sure all of Will's employees are wonderful, but I considered us lucky today, to have gotten Mark on our service call. We got same day service, which was also lucky as we had a couple of pretty substantial leaks. Unfortunately discovered that our water heater was not only nowhere close to being up to code, but it had the potential to be a deadly situation. Mark explained what needed to be done, and why it needed to be done, and did so in a way that made total sense to this new homeowner. Mark was super friendly, down to earth, and did a great job in both bringing our water heater up to code, and repairing the leaks. He was able to get it fixed the same afternoon I called, and did so for what I thought to be a great price. I hope he's our plumber for life :) Would give an A+ if that option were available! Don't know if the price was fair or not since I don't have anything to compare it to. They did a good job and responded quickly. I would use them again.

Ian and helper arrived on time, and we thoroughly discussed scope of work and expectations. I was totally impressed with their knowledge and skills during the install. I asked many questions during their work, and always got complete and informative answers. These guys were neat, courteous, and completely professional. All of my contacts with the company's dispatcher and other office personnel was 100 percent positive. All of my future plumbing work will go to Will's Plumbing.

They are very professional, friendly, explained the problem to me, but I did feel they were a little on the high side for price. I will use them again.

I previously used a plumber on Angie's List in November. I had a back up of the plumbing into my tub and the rear of my toilet. They used a camera and assessed that there was a stick in the line. They cleared the line but had no way to get the stick out. They showed me that when you flushed, the stick would go down but could not make the turn under the house due to the length of the stick. Which meant the problem would occur again because toilet paper would accumulate on the stick each time you used the toilet. They gave me a 30 day warranty, if it happened again in that time frame they would return and unclog the line. I saw that Will's had a coupon for a hydro jet service that clears roots and debris. I thought this would be an answer to my prayers and gave them a call since the same problem was going on again. I spoke with Roger who was very friendly. He said he would send someone over to access it but that it may not need the hydro jet. But I could purchase the coupon to use it if there were debris and roots. I was not home but my daughter was. The plumer arrived within the time frame. The plumber saw that the water came from the rear of the toilet. He called and told me he would need to lift the toilet and give me a new wax ring to correct the issue for $195. I told him my son could perform that. That the issue was a stick in the line.He gave me a quote to remove the toilet, replace the wax ring and scan the line with a camera for $308 with my Angie's List discount.He used the camera to check the line and told me there were roots in the line He showed it to my daughter and she said she saw 2 sticks that she was told were roots. He was unable to remove it and I would need to have them dig under my home and remove a piece of pipe for $3000. I told him that I would prefer to buy a coupon that was offered because Ivhad not planned on such an undertaking since in November it was a solitary stick. He called back and said he spoke with a supervisor who said another alternative was to PINPOINTat a rate of $375 the first 2 hrs and $125 each additional hr. The would check the lines to the washer, the lines to the second bathroom( 2nd bath on a separate septic) and then see if a hrydro jet was my best option. I declined. There was no guarentee on the work that ws done. Now when you use the toilet, sink or shower you hear gurgling in the toilet. Not to mention my double bar towel rack was knocked off the wall which was secured with screws inside the anchors in the sheetrock which he told my daughter someone will come, match the paint and remount it. I waited a week before doing my review hoping someone would say they would do the hydro jet with the coupon as an option and return to remount my towel rack. Neither has occured. I'm curious why an offer for a service that says it can clear roots and debris was discouraged.toilet

We are doing a master bath remodel and water lines for the old tub were in the middle of the newly planned shower. After cutting and chiseling into the slab in an attempt to relocate the lines, the cold water line wouldn't stop leaking. Called Will's Plumbing on Sunday afternoon. Despite being at the Home And Garden Show, they were very nice and sent someone out. Mark arrived within an hour and assessed the situation. He was able to determine that the lines were tied into the shower and it would be easier to cut and cap the lines than try to relocate them. Mark was very polite and pleasant. It was pricey to just cap a couple of lines but after most of the weekend without water and coming out on a late Sunday afternoon, it was worth it.

I smelled gas. Checked Angie's List, called Will's Plumbing. Josh came out same day and found the gas leak & fixed it.

We noticed water pressure was non existent and water in our front yard early on a Saturday Morning. Will's Plumbing had someone out to our house with in 2 hours of the phone call. He first tried to find a fix the leak without tearing up our driveway but found that not be be an option. They took as little of our driveway as possible to find and fix the leak. It took about 6 - 7 hours to complete. Very happy with the experience of using Wills Plumbing. Would definitely recommend.

Pathetic, the plumber asked me not to write a complaint because he would "lose my job".

SHOWED UP ON TIME. LOOKED AT ALL REPAIRS NEEDED AND WROTE OUTRAGEOUS ESTIMATE

Overall the work went well; they came on time to give estimate; evaluated additional work needed and revised estimate to include that work while trying to keep costs down. Did some work the 1st day; had to come back a 2nd day due to needing additional supplies because of added-on work and came on time and completed job; have had no subsequent problems with faucets. I wonder if I may have paid more than I needed to, but I have no other basis for comparison. In the end, the job was done well and on time, so I am generally satisfied with the work that was done.

I had mixed feelings as to the overall rating of the company. As described earlier, the actual service was not the issue. I gave an overall rating of fair "C" to the company because of discussions with the owner. I asked for an itemized breakdown on the charges and was unable to get this. The owner said they only use an overall figure. The owner was contacted due to a computer search that found the same product for about $700 plus shipping and handling Therefore, I could not determine if the price was fair and competive nor could I determine from the invoice if I received the 10% discount offered by being a member of Angie's List. There was also some confusing information regarding a coupon that would give us an additional $500 credit. The invoice gave a "price" for the water softener and instillation and a secondary "price" for monies due. No other information was given on the invoice which we recieved after the work was completed. I felt that this was very poor business practice and left me wondering if I received the actual price or if it was an inflated price that was brought down to the price I paid by coupons, etc. While I was satisfied by the service provided, the vote is still out as to whether the product functions as advertised (it has only been 12 hours since installation). I would not, at this time, recommend this company to a friend as I as still unsure that I received my monies worth.

We discovered a sewer problem on a Sunday & called WIll's Plumbing since we were so pleased with a previous repair they had done for us. The same plumber - Ian - just happened to be on call that weekend & came to our house that same afternoon. He dug a deep hole around our 2-way clean-out & used a small "snake", then a larger one. He patiently tried to work the camera through the line but after awhile, realized that a blockage in the line was impeding his progress. He then fully explained to us a couple of options & upon our agreement to continue with the repair, made arrangements to have the yard trenched the following day. Once a 4' deep/50' long trench was dug up, Ian went to work to find the cause & make the repair. He found that our cement sewer line had corroded. Also, another plumber my husband had used a few years ago (son of a neighbor) had used the wrong connector (rubber instead of metal with screws) which caused shifting between pipe & connection, allowing dirt to enter into the sewer line. Also this same plumber had used a valve with a 90 degree angle vs. a sloping angle that prevented proper flow of sewage & water. (NOTE: A good example of why we now only use Angie's List providers). Ian & his assistant installed 50' of PVC sewer pipe & two properly-designed 2-way clean-outs with the proper connectors. He & his assistant put the bricks & large stones that were dug up with the dirt underneath the PVC to provide extra support. He then made arrangements for the City's plumbing inspector to examine the completed job & we received a notice from the City the next day that the inspector had approved the repair. Ian then arranged to have the trench filled in the next day & personally returned to insure the job had been finished properly. All along, Ian was extremely friendly, courteous, & knowledgeable & worked with us to & Cindy at the office to get the job done for a reasonable price. We are so impressed with Ian, Cindy, & with Will's Plumbing overall that we recommend this company to our friends and family for all of their future plumbing (and A/C and heating) needs. We also have peace of mind knowing that this was a professional job well done. Thanks Will's Plumbing, Ian, Cindy and Angie's List!!!

Ian, the plumber, wrote the estimate & explained it thoroughly before starting work. Work was begun as planned & was completed as planned in the time agreed upon. Workmanship is excellent, plumber was knowledgeable & precise, outstanding service.
