It is with great pleasure we write this letter of recommendation for all the future customers that might be looking for remodeling services. From the day of our initial contact to the day of the project completion, Mr. Westphall professionalism and the professionalism of his subcontractors was of the highest levels that I have seen in my 20+ years of working civilian and military contracts. Since we started thinking about adding a new room to the house, remodeling the entire master bathroom and a second bathroom, we were initially hesitant to even think about doing any remodeling work because of all the horrors stories. Once the contract was signed, to the day it was finished, you team had to "can do" attitude and made every step of the project go smoothly. The work was either ahead of schedule or right on schedule. The entire project was completed in less that 60 days. By the way his work was amazing. We will be enjoying the new room and the remodeled bathrooms for years.

Westphall Remodeling recently completed an extensive (and much needed) remodel of my 40 year old home. The project was a complete interior renovation of all living spaces from drywall to in-wall plumbing, electrical, insulation, flooring, custom cabinetry, granite counters, and replacement of fixtures. The kitchen and 3 bathrooms were completely gutted, redesigned, and rebuilt. Even a portion of the exterior siding was replaced with stucco. From the early planning stages to obtaining the appropriate permits, selection of materials, coordinating and assuring the timeliness and quality of subcontractor work, the owner of Westphall Remodeling, Brad Westphall, was intimately involved and always available. There was never a lack of communication. Through it all, Brad surely proved to be indispensible. I cannot imagine completing a project of such broad scope without his invaluable guidance. Even his input regarding the aesthetics of my choices helped to calm my anxieties whether everything would truly come together as I envisioned. In the end, the project was completed at the projected cost, on time, and truly all as I had previously only hoped. Happily, my wife is just as pleased. Thus, it is with great pleasure and with not the least bit of reservation that I recommend Westphall Remodeling for your construction and remodeling needs.

I don't think he was that interested in doing the job because he gave me a bid that was so exorbitant I didn't even consider it any further. He seemed like a very competent guy. I got the impression that he wasn't trying to overcharge me but he thought the scope of the job was so big that he was going to give me a full-blown fee. I decided to do it all myself as far as a general contractor. I think that is more what he is. He gave me a price that I think is about twice what I'm going to get it done for. He was very knowledgeable but I couldn't afford him. I wasn't going to pay that kind of a price. The estimate was free. Maybe I will find out that the price is closer to what he said and I will know more once I get the job done. He had a different opinion on what I thought the cost would be and what I am hoping it will be.

**This is the letter we wrote to Brad Westphall after the completion of our second project** Dear Brad, Rachel and I are writing this letter to express our gratitude for making our home renovations a reality. Both recent projects: (1) conversion of an ?under stairs? closet to a wine grotto, and (2) transformation of a 2-story foyer into a cozier 1 story foyer with coved ceiling and a second floor loft were executed on-time and to perfection. Before we met you, we received a bid from a contractor who came highly recommended. The bid was high and the individual did not seem enthusiastic about the project. Having had several bad experiences with contractors in the San Antonio area, including the construction of a high-end custom home, we were not overly excited about yet another frustrating project. Once I found your website, I scoured each section and was impressed with the depth of experience you had in the industry. Also remarkable was the wide range of projects you had completed and the numerous letters from satisfied customers. I read every individual letter and they all had a similar theme-the customers were happy with the process and thrilled with the end results. During that first meeting, I handed you a scrap piece of paper with a rough sketch depicting my thoughts for transforming our space. You took notes as we walked the site, and after a few photos you were gone. I did not think I had provided you with enough information for a proper bid. However, when the bid came back, I discovered you actually listened to all I had described, and it was obvious you understood my vision perfectly. Having 3 small children and pets, I expressed concern regarding the potential detrimental impact of dust and construction debris. You assured me you would take great strides to separate the construction zone and protect the surrounding areas of our home. True to your word, you did. We had plastic and cardboard on the floors and plastic blocking our living areas floor to ceiling. Unlike previous contractors, each day before your crews left the site was cleaned, leaving it safe for our family. I have been impressed by many aspects of the construction experience with Westphall Remodeling. One of the biggest was your ability to communicate updates and concerns as they arose. In an industry where all of my experience has been focused on trying to get a contractor show up, let alone finish a job, you called each day to inquire about my satisfaction and review the next step. It is tremendously comforting to know there is an organized plan and coordinated schedule of sub-contractors. I was also pleased with your efficiency. I was truly amazed at the rapid pace of progression. There were no wasted days and no wasted materials. Your goal was to maximize our budget by using your crews effectively. You always anticipated the next phase and ensured the next sub-contractor was lined up and ready to go?.and they always were. I was also impressed with the number of relationships you had in the industry to cover some of our unique requests. From the stained concrete to the faux stone wine cubbies, you had a contact for every request, and they seemed to really enjoy being part of a project with you. Lastly, a project of any scale is only as good as its supervision and it was obvious who was in charge. You have a very good relationship with all of your subs but if it was not right, you never hesitated to make sure it was made right. Part of your ability to manage multiple jobs successfully was your clear understanding that you needed to turn down some projects until others were complete or you might be spread too thin-something most contractors are not willing to do. You have learned by now that my many years as an Air Force pilot have made me very detail-oriented and very hard to please. I am here to tell you I am pleased 100% with not one but two projects. After 9 years in San Antonio I did not think I would ever say that about any contractor. You treated us professionally, you took our family in consideration during the construction process, and you are an absolute pleasure to work with. I hope you add this letter to your site and that it helps generate more projects for you in the future. We were very happy with the service; Brad kept us informed every step; the plumbing, tile, and painting contractors he used did a great job, the job was done on schedule, the workers showed up when we expected them. We were helped with good suggestions and the finished product came out better than we expected. We would definitely call Brad again for any other remodelling work.

As usual, no problems. The job was done right and on time at the price quoted. The kitchen turned out right and the deck was the way I wanted it. This is the way it should always be when you contractor.

The overall experience was great, Brad and his crew are the cleanest construction people I have ever seen. Other than what they were working on at the moment, the house stayed spotless and they cleaned up where they were working everyday even though we were not living in the house yet.

The goal was accomplished within budget, on time and the house turned out looking better than I expected largely due to Westphalls design abilities. The quality of the work was exceptional and the house was clean and ready to show when Westphall was finished. Nothing but good things to say.

The project worked out great at first but problems don't always show up till later. He says there is a warranty but definitely is not true to his word. If it gets better, I will repost- but I am not hopeful.

Westphall recently completed an addition to our home. We felt compelled to tell others about what a great company they are. Besides the room addition, they also helped us out with a few other projects around the house while they were here. All of their men and subcontractors were professional and courteous. The job scheduling and project management was outstanding as well. We have done projects in the past and have never experienced one that ran as smoothly or came out as nice. Description of Work: The project consisted of removing the exterior kitchen wall and constructing an addition so as to enlarge and remodel an existing kitchen Westphall Remodeling?s experience and construction knowledge was very apparent during our initial ?job walk? and estimate. Their design/build services were beyond what we expected and as a result we were left with a final product that was beyond what we imagined. The work-site was kept clean and the job progressed in an orderly and professional manner throughout. We are very pleased with the work and will definitely refer Westphall Remodeling to others in the future.

Brad had just recently finished an addition to our home, which totally exceeded our expectations. We felt very confident in hiring Brad to remodel our master bath. We accepted his bid and the work was promptly started. On the day of the demolition, Brad called and "gently" informed me that we had live termites in that area of the house and that there was quite a bit of structural damage. He had also discovered some other structural and plumbing problems that would require extra work. Thank God for Brad!!! He was able to talk me out of "panic mode" and show me how we could best do the required repairs without sending me into bankruptcy (or the loony bin!!). Brad was able to coordinate the services of the exterminators along with his regular crews as to not create any delay in project completion. Brad actually stayed at the house one day after his workers had left in order to supervise the exterminators so that "strangers" were not left in our home alone while my wife and I were at work. The end result of the remodel is excellent and my wife and I could not be happier with the outcome. The extra repairs (including plumbing and framing) only cost a few hundred dollars. We are so grateful to have found an honest contractor. We have one more remodeling project in our future and we wouldn't even think of accepting bids from other contractors.

From the moment the job was initiated until completion, our project was orchestrated and executed flawlessly. The craftsmen were all highly professional, friendly and efficient. The job site was left clean and orderly at the end of the workday. Brad communicated with us daily as to the progress of the remodel. Every aspect from the foundation to the roof is top quality. A couple of weeks into the project, the stone masons stopped by our house to show us a sample of the brick they were going to use. My wife and and I were both satisfied with the match to our existing brick. When I talked to Brad the next day, he told me that HE was not satisfied and was having brick imported from Louisiana that was a closer match. Without being asked, Brad's crew leveled out some statues in our backyard with dirt excavated from the foundation. Brad's roofers panted ALL of our plumbing and attic vents to blend in with our roof. Brad, his employees, and the finished addition absolutely exceeded our expectations. Brad seemed personally and genuinely interested in the success of our project and guided us through initial decisions and gave us some wonderful suggestions based on his years of experience in the industry. We feel like we got more than our money?s worth for our project. We would never even consider using another contractor for future remodeling.
