I was a customer first of Vaquero Waste and Recycling which Waste Connections acquired within the last year. I had been a customer for 2 years and gladly paid extra for a total of 4 collection containers with occasional bulk pick-ups which were generally timely and a little pricey but not too bad. So, we relocated to Beaumont and I set service to end on 6/20 and said there would be a bulk pick up. They asked what kind of things would be collected and I told them I didn't know everything that there was but listed the things I could remember. Well, they came on 6/20 and didn't pick up much if anything. They say they called me but if they did I didn't get a voice mail or any notification that they hadn't done the pickup. Therefore, I didn't even know the garbage was still there until the following weekend. I then called Waste Connections the following Monday and asked them to schedule pick up again. David then told me they would do it for $125 to which I readily agreed, but he said his dispatcher was unavailable and he would have to see how to handle it since my account had been closed. He told me he would call me later in the day but never did. So I called again Tuesday and was told they wouldn't do the bulk pickup because my account was closed. I don't think this is how a company should treat a customer who has been paying them on time for 2 years, and has paid in advance for service through August. I would highly recommend staying away from this company, especially since they are now part of a larger entity that apparently shows no regard for its customers.
