Description of Work: I have used VHS over the past 5 years for different landscaping jobs. We have always been very pleased with their work. Chris and his staff are very accommodating. We've had front yard sodded, shrub and flower beds put in, river rock installed, and a flagstone path created.

Description of Work: They replaced grass in my backyard, added new dirt, put in a path, plants, rock and a dry stream bed. Very professional. Go out of the way to make you happy with the project.

Description of Work: Had to wait to start our project because Chris was so busy, but I guess that's a good thing. Our back yard went from bare to beautiful in about 3 days. The price was fair for the amount of work they did. I chose Chris because of his high rating on Angie's List and after meeting with him I hired him without getting any more bids. Very happy customer and would highly recommend.

Description of Work: I had my yard landscaped several years ago by another company. Over time and with the cold winter last year, several plants had died. Shrubs had become infested with insects that left large dead foliage. Chris, the owner, met with me a couple of months ago to go over the work I wanted done. He made good suggestions for the new plants, but let me make the final decision. This being their busy time of the year, it took a few weeks before the work was completed, but Chris stayed in touch with me frequently to update me on when I could expect them to come and to go over the design. The workmen were hard-working and got the work done in a few days. They cleaned up every day after finishing the day's work. The work is beautiful. My yard is revitalized, and I am very pleased with the work.

Description of Work: I am disappointed with the response I got from VHS Landscaping, since they are an "A" rated company. I called them to set up an appointment for an estimate. The lady I spoke with asked me what I wanted done and an approximate amount I wanted to spend. She did tell me that this is a busy time of the year for them, but if I was willing to wait a few days, they would get back with me to schedule an appointment, which was fine with me. A few days later the lady called me and said her boss was out of town, but when he returned the next day he would call me to get more information about the job and get me on the schedule. She again asked me if the amount I had quoted to her earlier was the most I was willing to spend and I told her, yes. Anyway, this was about 3 weeks ago and I have never heard from the boss nor did I hear back from the lady. I feel that if my job was too small for them to mess with, then they should have just told me that, instead of making me believe otherwise.

Description of Work: VHS Landscaping took our back yard from dirt, weeds, and dead grass to an oasis of carefully prepared flowerbeds parted by a "river" of grass. We were offered a selection of drought tolerant plants native to South Texas, adding color and variety to our back yard. The VHS crew was polite, professional, and carefully placed their equipment at the end of each day and, when finished, left a completely clean area.

He spent time with me choosing the plants and recommending the right type of plants for both by sunny and shady areas. Now, a year later, the beds look amazing.
