They were very responsive when we contacted them for bids. They gave us well defined options based upon grade of laminate. Greeted us immediately upon arrival at the show room. Clearly explained the differences between the types at the different price ranges with the advantages and disadvantages of each. We placed our order and were told it would take about 2 days to get the measurements done so the order could be finalize. We were called within a few hours and they made an appointment for the next business day. Their man showed up promptly, took the measurements and explained what to expect and when. Payment was made for the materials the following day. We were told to expect 3 weeks delivery time. It took less than that and the appointment was made for the next business day. The installer showed up exactly when he said he would and had the counters installed in less than an hour. Great job from beginning to end.

They were really good. I would give them all A's because they did really well. They're staff is very friendly and easy to work with. I didn't have any issues and they did as was promised. They charged us a little over $1500.

Availability of surface types are best in town and I compared a half dozen competitors. Universal also has the best personal customer service I found amongst competitors. Prices are equal or better than competitors--that said, countertop installation today, everywhere, is pricey, so you may as well go with the most pleasant and knowledgeable experts. The people at Universal Form Tops are patient and caring about your countertop needs and will help you to understand the process--so many choices. There is a lot to learn about surface types and colors. They are not pushy at all and know that this is a big decision not to be made lightly. I loved Becky's input for kitchen countertops because she knew what would work with my kitchen colors and budget. Pete had many answers and solutions, too. All the folks at Universal are professional. The order came in as promised and was installed to a and quot;T.and quot; The installers were conscientious and very detailed oriented. I had a tiny fitting problem with my sink, I discovered later with a new sink, and they came out within an hour after my call because they knew how important it was to get my sink functional. I am ordering more countertops from Universal for bathrooms. This long-time family owned business in San Antonio is exceptional. It will value and respect your business greatly and that is important in today's economy.

It was very good. They were very timely and neat. I would have appreciated it if they erased the pencil marks they made with their measurements. I would use them again, and recommend them to people needing new countertops.

I had countertops installed by them 4 years ago. The countertops started to crack. I called them to have them come out and fix the small cracks. They came right out and fixed them for no charge. Then, they called later to recommend putting a seal in for the cook-top, between the counter top to act as a buffer. They put it in for no charge. I would highly recommend them to others

Jim Welsh met with me to discuss the options available for making a table top to coordinate with a set of wooden booths. He measured, drew off sample edges and spent a great deal of time with this project, even though it was a small job. The end result was exactly what we were hoping for and it was completed in a matter of days.

They were friendly, easy to work with. We had to take out our old countertops (they don't do that work) and they installed the new ones. I would use them again.

When we decided to replace our kitchen countertops, I first visited Home Depot, but I decided to try to go direct to the source as Home Depot contracts out fabrication and installation of custom laminate countertops. I got estimates from two local countertop shops and decided to go with Universal. The sales rep who visited my home to measure for new countertops was prompt and professional, as are the employees at their showroom. They have a tremendous selection of laminate finishes, and they gave me large (1'x2') laminate samples to try out in my kitchen before making a decision. I placed my order and paid 50% down; about 10 days later the countertops were ready for installation. The price I paid included installation, but demolition of the old countertop was up to us. We had trouble removing the sink section of our old counter and were not ready when the installers arrived; they went ahead and finished the demo, no problem. Installation did not take long.
