Unified Painting

The room looks great and we hired Laurence again to do some wall repair in our laundry room.

He said he was finished but I noticed that the ceiling, baseboards, windowsills and doors were not painted. He said that was extra and mentioned that it was in the contract. It was not in my contract which I showed him. He also did not charge me for the 3 window sills he painted. He did purchase the paint using his discount for which I was appreciative. I did not have the doors painted as I knew I could do them myself with the leftover paint. The $99.00 special turned into a $369.00 total job. They did an excellent job but had I known beforehand of all the extras I would not have had it done. Since then I see that he has corrected the ad.

Lawrence arrived on schedule with his helper, cleared the deck and power washed the area. He returned after it had thoroughly dried several days later and applied the finish. He came back after it had set for a couple of days and replaced all the planter boxes and large pots of plants back on the deck.

He was on time and professional. 1 room painted, came out looking good!

They did fine. I actually had other work for them to do. He came out the day I called him and stuck to the price he said. I recommend them.

Lawrence went above and beyond, as usual. I can't say enough good things about him. Great job.

I have finally found a " real painter " that I would happily call again. As many other reviews have said, Lawerence is a real professional painter who does a great job. He is very through and meticulous, and does the work as if it was his own house. He arrived on time and completed the job in one day as he had told me.

Lawrence is an awesome painter! He is very meticulous. He preps the room thoroughly; removes blinds, covers or moves furniture, removes outlet covers, tapes off all trim, etc. The finished product is beautiful and virtually flawless. He is very clean and covers everything to make sure that paint does not drip anywhere. He is also very efficient and finishes the job in a timely manner. I will be hiring him again to paint more of my home in the near future. He gave me a 20% discount on paint.

I called on Thursday March 2nd to get an estimate on painting a room. When asked where I lived he made a comment implying I live too far. I live in the 1604/Marbach area. I was told the earliest he could come by was on the weekend and he would call me. I gave up my weekend to make sure I was home and surprise,surprise I never got a call! Totally unprofessional! Sad part is I have a whole house that needs to be painted but just started with one room. Makes me wonder if I had purchased the coupon for $99 would he have honored it. Don't waste your time calling you just might get treated as badly as I did!!

Unified Painting owner Lawrence Shudy was very professional and did an excellent job. He and his employee taped my walls and doorways, placed plastic on the floor, and covered the plastic with cloth drops. I truly appreciated the attention to detail. An added bonus, Lawrence provides the paint at his cost which saves his customer money. I found his services to be exceptional and would hire him again without hesitation. Let me say, honesty is important to me. Being this was the first time I used Angie's List I called Unifed Painting to have an idea of an estimate beyond the Angie's List deal. Lawrence could have charged me and not gone through the Angie's List therefore cutting out their fee, but he did not. His integrity and honesty sealed our deal.

These guys are the best! Very professional and skilled. Also, they were able to buy my paint at a 20% discount. I had gone to Sherwin Williams for paint samples. They took these samples and brought back an exact match of Behr. They moved furniture, covered the bed and floors, removed my mini blinds & reinstalled them. They removed and replaced the electrical faceplates. They did beautiful work. Cleaned up nicely when finished. I had bought the $105-for-one-room coupon. Then wrote a check at the end for the cost of paint and the $50 for painting a second color on the accent wall. I will definitely use Unified Painting again.

I went well. My complaint is about Angie's List. The fine print mentioned that the price included no trim, but I missed that. I would appreciate that when a service excludes certain parts of a job, it would be stated more prominently and emphatically.

They came by to provide an estimate the day after we called and were able to do the work within 2 days of our call. All work was completed in the same day and was very well done. They were extremely professional. We will probably hire them again in the future.

They did a great job. They were quick to respond to my call and quick to get the work done.

Very well ,they prepared better then I have ever seen . Walls were draped and taped off and furniture and floors were covered. The work was beautifully done and I am very pleased. I plan on having them come back and do some work this month.

After previous quality service, I purchased an Angie's List deal for Unified Painting to get one bedroom repainted. The following months included repeated emails and calls attempting to schedules the painting on any available Friday. Unfortunately, conversations always ended with vague promises to check their schedule and get back to me [which never happened]. I can only assume my small job request wasn't worth their trouble. The scheduling difficulties were never expected from a contractor with such high ratings.

Lawrence and his crew at Unified Painting did an incredible job painting our home. From the moment we contacted Lawrence regarding an estimate, he was prompt and professional. They worked tirelessly to complete our home since they knew we were on a strict timeline all while doing quality work. We would recommend them to friends and definitely hire them again.

It went very well. Lawrence showed up on time and gave me a estimate on several painting jobs I was wanting to have done. I had several small jobs done and plan to have Lawrence come back and finish up the other jobs I wanted done after the holidays. I would hire him again.

I contacted Lawrence prior to moving to Texas and he made coming out for an estimate, once we arrived, a priority. I had two other people give me bids on having the whole house painted. They both came in at or above $7000. At this point I figured I'd be stuck with the rest of the house not getting painted, so I bought the 2 room deal. When Lawrence came to look at the scope of the job, I asked him what it would cost to paint the entire house (minus doors and closets) and to patch holes left by many, many curtain rods. His bid was almost half! The price did not include paint, but Lawrence was able to get me a contractor discount if I selected a Behr paint. So we did and ended up getting the whole house painted. We also just had new carpet installed and I was concerned that they might drip paint on it. There was no need to worry. Lawrence and his team (4) all showed up looking clean & professional, in crisp white pants and shirts. They took great care of the floors, cabinets, etc. by covering everything with drop cloths. They labeled and removed all the blinds & reinstalled them when they were done. They patched tons of holes. Lawrence clearly prides himself on his work and expects the same from his team. I was very appreciative of the care they took while in my home and would happily have them back.
