These guys were awesome. Here's what I really appreciated. I bought the Angie's list special of $349 for tree trimming. I was concerned because it looked like one of the limbs on my 100 year old oak tree might fall on my garage. When I first contacted Mike he said they were rather busy and it might take a while before he could get to me. I explained my problem and he immediately offered to come over the next day to check it out He said if the limb was really in danger of falling, he would do whatever necessary to take care of it. He made my problem his problem. As promised, he came over the next day and told me the tree limb wasn't ready to fall down. The tree is in decline because of the drought and it was a bark problem. He had a cancellation a couple of days later and came over with his crew. I told him if he needed more time than paid for by the deal, I would pay it. He finished up in the allotted time, didn't ask for anymore money, and my trees look great. I'll call them again next year.

The service was excellent! The trees they trimmed looked perfect and they addressed all of my concerns.

We had no problems with them and they did a good job. We had some extra work we wanted to have done but they could not accommodate us because they were so backed up. They sent a crew of 3 out to do the job and they worked until the time was up. They showed up on time.

These guys did a great job. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to identifying the trees, and bushes that were the size of trees, in our yard and going over what should be trimmed and what needed to come out completely. We have a large tree that needs to be taken out completely and I will be calling these guys again to do that job.

I had a small stump from a dead tree that I removed from my front yard and needed it to be removed. I called and they were out the very next day. I give a 'B' for price because I had been given smaller numbers for the service, but none were as prompt and professional. Definitely recommend.

Mike's guys were great. They did very good job of trimming branches hanging over our roof. They cleaned after really well too.

Beyond the speedy service, Mike and his crew were excellent. They were very professional. The worked quickly (done in about an hour) and safely. They cleaned up all of the debris. And the whole time, they were very respectful of the property (the house and our gardens).

Mike called ahead as requested and told me he was running a little late, but his men were on their way. As soon as they arrived (a 4 man team) they got right to work and trimmed 1 large Pear Tree and a Crepe Myrtle in the front yard. Mike arrived shortly after that and we discussed the remainder of the work to be done. We have many Live Oak Trees in the back yard. They trimmed off dead branches as well as cleaning them up and sprayed all the cuts. They were continually cleaning up as they went along. The men were very courteous as was Mike. They cleaned everything up and were on their way in the 2 hours they promised to complete the job. The coupon was actually for 6 man hours ( 3 men for 2 hours). Very Nice Job.

They were top notch! Will definitely use them again in the future. Very thorough and conscientious about their work. Can't recommend them highly enough.

We are extremely happy with The Tree Guys. We had a dying Arizona Ash that would pose a hazard to our home if it fell during a storm. They came out and gave us a good price and we scheduled a day for the work to be done. Considering that they had to be careful not only of our home but also our cabana and garden shed, they did an awesome job. They even came back when we discovered there were more roots that needed to be removed at no charge. They were very efficient and capable and we highly recommend them to anyone who needs their services.

We love love love the tree guys. We actually used them a few years ago to trim up some huge old oaks that had never been trimmed. While trimming an oak they accidentally knocked a long board rail off our fence. They had it replaced along with a few other warped boards before we even noticed. They take great care in the work they do especially when dealing with oaks. They are very knowledgable on Oak Wilt and what to do to protect your trees. They work quickly and efficiently. We actually had some old brush that we set out too early for bulk pickup one day and had to remove it immediately. We called the owner of The Tree Guys & even though he was booked, he came over by himself at 7pm to help us out. We will never use a different tree company.

They were very professional. The workers were on time and did a very good job. After they were done the lead person gave me the opportunity to give a final decision. At that time I asked if they could take a bit more off of certain parts of the tree and they did with no complaints. That's how a job should be done!

Purchased deal through Angie's List. Had a response from Mike within 30 minutes of purchasing deal. Gave him 3 dates and all were acceptable, it was my choosing. Didn't matter that it was a small job or that I lived on the Southeast part of town, I felt that my satisfaction was important to him. He explained he would not be able to be on site personally but his crew had been with him for a number of years and knew what his expectations were but if I wanted to postpone I could do so until he was available. After talking with him I put my faith in his crew. I was not disappointed. I work nights and told him I would not be home till 8 AM. His crew was waiting for me at 7:50. I explained what I wanted in under 10 minutes. Work was agreed upon. An hour and thirty minutes later, all work was completed, yard raked, clippings chipped in a diesel powered chipper, sidewalks/driveway/street blown clean and large items thrown in trash. I called this company because of a good past experience with them for an Angie's Big Deal. This time we had them removed a very large, dying Ash tree and trim up another Ash tree. They arrived right when they said they would, Mike was great reviewing what needed to be done and got to work immediately. They removed a huge dying Ash tree and ground down the stump. They also trimmed up another large Ash tree, then cleaned up and removed all the debris. All this for a very reasonable price. I couldn't ask for a better tree service company, and we will definitely use them again in the future.

Mike came to my house on time to look at the trees to give me an estimate as well as showing up on time for the tree removal. It took about four hours for the crew to bring the trees down. The wood was cut into firewood-sized pieces and the smaller branches turned into mulch. He cut and mulched a large, fallen branch from a windstorm. Also, while there, I decided to get a smaller tree taken out as well and he gave me a reasonable quote. I have many trees on my property and will use him in the future to get an estimate.

WOW!! What an amazing company. I called the company after researching them on Angies List. I left a message for them to call me and received a call back almost immediately. Mike Oles, the owner listened to what I was looking for and set a date for an on-site estimate the next day. Mike arrived exactly on time and did a quick walk through the property and noted that the job was pretty simple. We agreed to the removal of a huge number of hackberry trees on the north side and front of the house. Additionally I asked him to remove a large mesquite tree overhanging my house and the removal of a very large (18" diameter) hackberry in my neighbors yard. That tree had split down the middle with one side hanging over our fence. My neighbor was more than happy to agree to getting rid of this widow-maker. I had another tree company remove three hackberrys several years earlier so I was ready for an expensive estimate. I was shocked when Mike gave me a $1300 estimate. That compared to $1000 for my earlier removal of just 3 trees with the other company. This estimate was for more than 40 trees. Since I live out in the country, Mike didn't immediately offer to grind all the stumps, but as a side note added that he also had stump grinding equipment. I asked what that service would cost and was amazed that it would only cost $400 more. That estimate included the grinding of numerous existing stumps as well. That was an offer I couldn't refuse. We agreed to a date the next week to do the work. On the appointed day, Mike and his crew showed up right on time and got to work. I had asked Mike to minimize any damage to other trees during the removal, but anticipated some collateral damage while dropping some of the largest trees. His team climbed the larger trees and brought them down limb by limb. It was amazing to watch. No other trees were damaged during the work. Due to their diligence and attention to detail and the complexity of removing many trees hanging over my fences, the work took longer than either Mike or I expected. The result was that the stump grinding would have to be done the next morning. Mike was back early the next day to complete the task. I offered to revisit the price he had given me but Mike adamantly said that he would stick by the original estimate. When we first started the work Mike told me his goal was complete satisfaction of the customer. Well he met and exceeded that goal by far. I will definitely be calling the Tree Guys of Texas for future work.

Originally I had contacted Tree Guys to remove a large, dying ash tree before it fell on my house (half of it almost took out my cars the week before), and grind the stump as well as a couple of other stumps I had in the yard. The original quote was the lowest quote out of 2 others, and I scheduled them to come out (about 1.5 weeks after I called them). While they were working on the ash, I asked the owner (Mike I think) about the "trees" (I think they were the undesirable Nandina) all around my fence line. He suggested clearing them all out, grinding the roots, etc. There were a lot of those as well as plenty of dead, mid-sized trees. He said he could take care of everything for $1850 which was a real bargain. It took them a day and a half to clear everything and it looks AMAZING! I would highly recommend these guys for any tree service. Mike even gave me some tips on taking care of the other trees on my lot as I am pretty clueless about anything dealing with plants. The Tree Guys were running a bit late for our scheduled appointment, but with a phone call they let us know what time they'd be able to arrive. When they showed up, they got right to work and cleaned up all the trees in our backyard - trimming, pruning, and clearing the dead limbs from multiple trees, including our 40-ish foot ash. Additionally, they cleared all the debris and limbs they removed, leaving the backyard in at least as good a condition from which they started. We were very pleased with the quality of the work, how quickly they got the work done, and their overall pricing (note: they beat a competitor's pricing estimate by several hundred $ for the same work). We'll definitely be calling them back the next time we need tree trimming!
