They were pretty good. They were great. They know what they're doing. They sealed every little cut so that was really good. It's not cheap. I referred him to my daughter and some places but comparatively what she needed done and the prices, they were expensive but we had to have a decent company to do this tree. They're just really good cutting guys and they have shredder truck that comes out and they clean up everything really well. They cleaned up incredibly well so that was good.

The trees were covered in moss and hadn't been trimmed or cleaned for probably 15 years. I'm amazed at the job they did. They even removed two large bee hives that were attached to the tree. To add to my delight, they did a lot of the work in the rain, as it has rained almost every day. Use them. They are fantastic!

We had several trees in dire need of trimming an shaping. Mike and his crew were efficient and pleasant to work with. They did the trimming, and cleaned up afterward leaving the yard neat and tidy. They also treated the cut ends of the tree branches to prevent disease and rot to the trees. A very professional group.

After the unusual heavy rains and flooding in Texas, we contacated Mike to remove a tree that had been up-rooted and broken our bedroom window. There was a LOT of storm damage for 100 miles around our area. Mike responded almost immediately. After I sent him a picture and description of the problem, he offered to come out that same day (actually almost night) to take down the tree so no further damage would be done. Since the temporary measures we had taken seemed to be adequate, Mike came the next day. He took down the tree with no additional damage to our house. This was tricky given the proximity of the tree to our house. The next day he returned to grind out the stump -- again done with no damage to surrounding patio or structures-- and split the tree trunk into firewood. I was very impressed by his quick response when there was a very high demand for emergency tree removal services in the area. The crew was careful not to damage anything working in a very tight space. I will certainly consider using him again for my non-emergency trimming needs.

Mike, the owner, promptly came out to give me an estimate. I had gotten another estimate that turned out to be cheaper, but decided to go with The Tree Guys because Mike seemed very knowledgeable and that's what I wanted. Because of the continuous rain, the work had to be delayed, but we finally got a break in the weather. I have a small red oak tree in my back yard that was being denied the sunshine because of neighboring trees. There were quite a few huge trees that had to be cut back so that I could give my baby a chance. I have a huge, beautiful Magnolia tree in my front yard that was growing towards my neighbor's roof which also needed to be cut back and shaped. Two sickly, small bushes were cut down and hedges were trimmed. Pepe (his lead) and his crew showed up on time, were professional and did an excellent job. They got right to work and finished earlier than what I was quoted it would take. I was very happy with that. They did an excellent job cleaning up. Pepe checked with me several time to make sure that I was happy with everything, which I really appreciated. We worked as a team and got a lot accomplished. No, I didn't do any of the labor, just directing. Pepe was awesome. I would definitely recommend The Tree Guys to anyone looking to get tree service.

Excellent service. Provided a prompt estimate and were able to schedule a service date within a week. The crew arrived on time and were very professional; did an excellent job. I'd recommend Mike and his men for your tree trimming needs. I will use them again.

Mike came himself to provide the estimate. Then a week went by because of all the rain in the area. He called me in the afternoon to tell me the crew would be there the next morning. They arrived when he said the would. They had all the equipment they neeeded and worked very quickly and professionally. The four treees were down in an extremely quick and professional manner. The remainder of the day was spent getting the trees trimmed that were hitting the house and getting all the deadwood cut. Near the end of the day, the owner, Mike arrived and overlooked the work, and made them clean up and trim some additional trees. We were pleased with the service. They cleaned and swept up all the branches and leaves and did a highly professional job.

The Tree Guys were professional and efficient. The were able to do all the work promised in under the amount of time allotted. They left the work area as clean as it was before they started. Great service and very friendly. I highly recommend their service.

I contacted The Tree Guys of Texas via email about removing a large fallen branch in our front yard. Despite it being later in the evening, I got an immediate response with all the information I needed. It helped that they are technology friendly, and I was able to snap photos and send them over to get an idea of how much the job will cost. They were able to come first thing the next day to remove the fallen branch from our front yard. They also ground down two stumps in the backyard that have been shooting up sprouts since we chopped them down. They worked efficiently and promptly and were very professional. While wrapping up the job they noticed that a wire I had tethering an oak tree in the backyard was cutting into the trunk and sealed it up for me and provided some advice on how to help make sure we can nuture it back to health. Overall excellent service and will definitely be using them again.

Fantastic service. Not only were they polite and prompt, they worked non-stop until everything was perfect. The landscaping is next and I look forward to working with them again.

They were on time and did a great job. They had to work around the cable line and power lines and did not damage any of the other existing landscape. They were finished in about two hours.

My initial appointment for an estimate had to be rescheduled because of a scheduling conflict. The woman scheduling the appointments was extremely apologetic and worked with me to set another appointment convenient for me. The guy who did the estimate took his time with me so he could understand exactly what I wanted done. I expected to have to wait a week or 2 to get the work done but it was scheduled for 2 days after the estimate. The work was done quickly and efficiently. The crew made sure they cleaned up all and hauled off all the debris. I would definitely use them again.

I purchased a coupon. They were great. I liked the cost.

when they came to do the estimate on Tue they put a band around the tree to secure it and did this even if I had decided to get someone else to do the job. Promised to get it done by Fri of that week. Showed out and did it on Wed. Removed tree from a very tight spot between my house and the neighbors house. No damage to either and cleaned up very nicely all of the standing tree plus the part that was already on the ground. Very professional.

He did everything we asked him to do. It looked great and I was able to wrap my tree in lights. They were fast. They cleaned everything up after they were done, the price was excellent and they showed up on time.

I liked the service. There was some confusion with the scheduling. Somebody ended up not showing up. Whatever it was, they actually made it right. The guy went out in there with me eventhough he was supposed to be going out of town. He said, "I'll stop by in the area just so you don't have to reschedule." He apologized because that schedule was on my side. They came and took down the tree. He even set out and gave me a discount because of the inconvenience. I would definitely use them in the future.

Scheduling was very difficult, taking over 6 weeks to get a final date, with one no-show along the way. Mike did not show up with his guys as was planned, and we discussed clearly what was to be done with the guys that did show up - trim very little, leave as much green as possible, trim straight down along the fence line. When we noticed they were trimming/had trimmed too much, we questioned what was going on. They said they had to trim the branches that went down. We repeated our plan: leave as much green as possible and don't take too much. TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE! Our huge oak is now a flagpole, our privacy is gone, and it's an eyesore. Instead of shearing and shaping the multiple branches along the fence line, they just cut everything off the main trunk from the base to about 32 feet high! SHAME on them, and we learned several lessons from this: 1. Don't put too much faith in Angie's List ratings. 2. Don't trust a contractor's promises to do what you agree on. 3. Don't leave any workers unattended for even a moment, even if they agree to your plan and say they are doing the right thing. We've had tree trimming in the past which was appropriately and professionally done, and The Tree Guys of Texas do not fall into that category. We chose them because of the high Angie's List rating. Don't be fooled! Mike offered a refund, but money is not going to repair our demolished tree. As Texas A&M says, "pruning, like any other skill, requires knowing what you are doing to achieve success. The old idea that anyone with a chain saw or a pruning saw can be a landscape pruner is far from the truth. More trees are killed or ruined each year from improper pruning than by pests. Always avoid destroying the natural shape or growth habit."

I couldn't be happier with the result. They were extremely willing to work with me on exactly what I wanted while offering expert advice. They did lots of extras for me and paid attention to the details. I will definitely hire these guys again in the future.

The service went well and we enjoyed working with the company. I had them scale back some large bushes and trim a tree in the front yard. Two to three technicians and foreman were out and completed the job in the 6 hour time frame. They were efficient and addressed all of my concerns. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

We're building a new house on a 3/4 acre lot, and are just about ready to move in. Mike and the guys did an awesome job clearing the lot (there was a ton of cedar) and trimming the Oak's. They did it all in about 2 days. In addition to the onsite estimate he also had us come out and do a walk through on the first day to make sure the buffer we had asked for was to our liking.

Had several trees trimmed, a couple trees and stumps removed, several large and over grown bushes removed. All the guys were professional and the work they did was excellent.

It went great!! Mike and the crew were very detailed oriented, timely and respectful. We'd use them in a heart beat and plan to over the next couple of years as we intend to keep improving the landscaping around the ranch!
