nI first met with Chad Lefever on the 15th of August and he provided me with a quote on having my fence cleaned and stained. I agreed to the service. At that time, we also discussed several other project (garage, patio, driveway) but my intentions were to have the fence done first because it was badly in need of staining. Since that time, I have been trying to get an approval from my HOA, but have been running into obstacles. I called Chad and asked him if he would write a letter for me to provide to the HOA explaining the advantages of the type of stain I wanted to use on my fence (recommended by Mr. Lefever). He said he would be glad to write the letter and promised it to me a few days after his birthday. Three weeks later and two or three phone calls with the Dexperts, still no letter. The only conclusion I can come to is they don't need the work, and don't give me a lot of confidence in their reliability. If they can't give me a letter they promised, how would they act if there is a problem with the project?

The whole experience couldn't have been any better. Craig was simply fantastic, enthusiastic, as well as professional and very informative. He really helps you in choosing the best options for your type of deck/wood. Being that I went with hardwood, I had many concerns, and these were all addressed. Eventhough it took about 3 weeks between the time I agreed to the quote, to actual sanding and staining, Craig was just great at keeping me updated as to "my place in line" by calling me every Monday. The actual guys that came out to do the staining are EXTREMELY passionate about what they do. Wow. Just blown away about that. THAT is the kind of people you want handling your investment (the deck was built a few weeks ago). 100 degree weather with this humidity? I certainly wouldn't be as passionate. Thumbs up. Highly recommended. I'll be using them again in the near future for my fence.

We worked most closely with Craig, who was recommended by Paradise Decks and Spas. We really enjoyed working with Craig, as he is pleasant, professional, and honest. They worked really quickly and had both the fence and deck jobs done in one and two-day stints, respectively. There were a few spots in the deck that we didn't think were stained consistently, and Craig personally came out and made it right within a matter of hours. Six months later, the fence and deck still look great, and we'll definitely have them back out for the next treatment in 2014. They worked with us on price, and were able to give us a significant discount for me being a government employee and my wife being a school teacher. They also didn't charge us to use the leftover stain on treatments for the circumference of our hot tub and our well cover structure. It was a pleasure doing business with this company.

Took a while to get started due to the rain, but was kept in constant contact and always was kept up to date. Could not be more pleased with the quality and professionalism.

Our initial experience with The Dexpert was fine. No issues during the service and the deck and small concrete slab we had painted turned out well. Despite being told that the concrete that was painted would be pretreated and the paint would last longer than the stain on the wood, within a month the paint was chipping off. Clearly the concrete had not been treated. The Dexpert promised they would fix the problem. After several weeks and several more phone calls, we gave up, as it became clear they had no intention of fixing this issue. We will never use the Dexpert again, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

They did a great job. My newly stained deck looks great. We a lot of rain during the time they were trying to schedule my job, so the date kept getting pushed back. They kept called me regularly with status updates during this whole time, which I really appreciated. They were extremely professional and I will be calling them again in the future for more staining jobs.

The estimate was way too high. My son had referred them to me. They seemed knowledgable. They came when they said they would but it took 3 or 4 days for the appointment after we called.

I can't remember the exact date, but it was the beginning of February. Chad came to my house to provide an estimate for deck repair/staining. He was professional, and prompt and I thought the estimate was reasonable. I ended up using another company that could do all the house painting I needed, as well as the deck, all at the same time. I would consider the Dexpert again if I need deck work done.

The initial consultation and the staining went very well. Chad and his team were very diligent, professional and punctual about delivering a finished product for us as we had a wedding planned on the deck that coming weekend. However, after the stain dried up we found a dozen embedded shoe prints on the deck. After trying to wash it off- the prints would not come off the deck. We called Chad to inquire what to do as this deck was only 2 days old from the day it was stained. Chad gave instructions and no change occurred. A dozen shoe prints are still embossed all around the deck. Chad returned with his team and was able to make the deck beautiful again! Thank you Chad! Much appreciated!!

Our deck, front door and porch railings had seen better days. We found the Dexperts and had Chad come out for a quote. He was awesome! Explained step by step what they do and how the do it. The price was VERY reasonable. We had another company do our deck only once before. It cost double the Dexperts and look awful again in 3 months. The crew was VERY professional, quick, did a perfect job and cleaned up after themselves. USE THE DEXPERTS!!! Don't call anyone else.

They did a great job protecting my plants and not getting paint on anything. The fence was repaired and painted and looked brand new. They called with any updates on appointment times and let me know what they needed from me. They were always timely and did not want payment until they walked me through all their work. Great job!

We purchased our home about 6 months ago and were not sure how to care for the deck. Chad came out and gave us some tips on how to take care of the deck. He provided a couple estimates for future maintenance, if necessary, but generally recommended that we should be able to clean the deck on our own. Overall, Chad was very honest and didn't bother pushing unnecessary services on us. He took the time to tell us how we could do the simple work ourselves. It was apparent that Chad is passionate about helping others.

I have a beautifully designed deck installed by Paradise Decks, but it was in bad shape finish-wise. Mistake number one was trying to save a little money by staining it myself, mistake number 2 was hiring one of the many painting contractors that invariably wander the neighborhood offering their "expert" services. They actually did a worse job than I did! So, I stopped by Paradise to ask for some advice, and their advice was to stop playing around and call The Dexpert. A quick call, and, and they were at my house 2 later for an estimate. I won't say their services come cheap, but their price was certainly reasonable, especially considering the excellent quality of their work. They put me on the schedule for a week later. They had a small crew at my house for the better part of an afternoon on the first day sanding and prepping the wood on the first day, with a scheduled time for the next day to apply the stain. They even came by the following day to make sure the stain had cured properly, and touch up any uneven spots. They were courteous, prompt and professional. I'll definitely call them next time my deck needs another coat of stain.

The crew arrived on the date scheduled and completed the job the second day. The work was excellent and the personnel were very professional.

Overall, the work was well worth the price. Our deck, fence, and patio stand out and look great. They really know what they're doing and the quality was very high caliber. We had a couple snafu's related to weather and some miscommunication, but Chad was responsive and made things right. Just a note -- no matter WHO you get your concrete staining done with, make sure and take a look at some live samples. Concrete can be very temperamental depending on how they poured it, and boot marks and such are a little harder to "hide" with a stain.

We had a great experience with The Dexpert! From initial consultation through the project's completion, we found them to be professional and thorough. Given the scope of the job, we were very happy with the cost. Everything looks fantastic (and they were very patient while we made sure we had chosen just the right stain)! My only feedback to Chad and his team is to be a bit more proactive with scheduling...I had to call to confirm the start date of the job. The crew started on the agreed upon date ( as per the estimate), but I had to make that phone call to confirm...a minor criticism, really. Overall, we would definitely recommend them.

"The Dexpert" came highly recommended by a salesperson @ a local reputable hardware store in Bexar county. The Dexpert rep showed up for our 1st meeting and was on time. His enthusiasm & knowledge was apparent from the start. He took me thru the process by step & was able to write up the order with quote by the end of the meeting. The crew showed up approximately a month after signing contract due to rain in the area. Crew washed the surface area the first day. They returned the next day where they prepped the area, sanded the stairs & applied stain using a spray on the arbor top and a mop/sponge on the rest.

They were slow, nevertheless they did a decent job. I think that their price is reasonable.

We called The "Dexpert" to help us renew our deck after three years of hard use (i.e. wear and tear of three dogs), and we loved working with them. The team was always punctual, and were great about keeping us informed regarding scheduling and progress. Most importantly, the crew that completed our deck was fast, efficient, orderly, and did a great job.

They were at the upper end of the estimates price-wise and the salesman was very good at selling his product and his team, and about standing behind their product, but there was a problem that has yet to be resolved. Most of the dissatisfaction from this problem was caused by the insistence of the supervisor to paint in the dark, leading areas that were unstained and unpainted and leaving a final product that was not consistent with the expectation delivered by the sales person. Since then, they have come out once and there's a need for them to come out again to cover all the areas of the deck consistently so no wood is still showing, and fix it so that the paint doesn't look patchy and there won't be any bare spots. They had a large crew of help but at the end it was just the one supervisor who was painting by himself in the dark, as he was very persistent that he had to finish it that night, against my wishes. Pending their resolution of the problem, I'll use them again. Oct Update I decided to resolve the problem by purchasing some paint and repainting in the areas that we skimpy applied. The areas that need attention, instead of going through the provider. Some of things I had to bring to the vendor attention were obvious problems, but at that point I felt it would be easier to resolve the issues on my own. I am grateful that the wanted to come back and resolve the issues if he was an A provide they should not have been there in the first place, they would have been more through in attention to detail.

I would recommend The "Dexpert" to everyone who needs quality work done.
