Made sure we had the best stain and stain color before starting. Communicated well, was on time, and did a good job. Checked up on work after completion and corrected minor problems caused by wood decking shrinking over time. Will use again.

They were accessible, attentive to detail, prompt, and professional.

Contacted Dexpert to stain deck, had appt. scheduled within a week; was very reasonably priced; they set up time for job and finished ahead of schedule.

Went very quickly and efficient. They were very courteous and cleaned up very well after they were finished.

It all went very well. Taylor and Sherman did a super job.

Dave Lefuer was punctual in his appointment for estimate. Company was very professional. They called every Monday to update on when they would come to work on the decking with all the recent bad winter weather they wanted to reassure us workmanship was of good quality. Would trust them for future deck staining & re-staining jobs in the future.

I should have listened to my deck builders who told me these guys are backed up. Instead, I waited until my deck was finish before I made the first call. They returned that call a week later and told me they could come by in 2 weeks to give an estimate. They did come by and gave a very reasonable estimate. After that they would call every Monday and let us know that we might be on the following weeks schedule. After 8 weeks they finally came out and did it in 1/2 a day. The work was fair, but not great. If you do use them call before your project is completed to at least be on the wait list.

From the time of the bid, 2/3/2015 to the first day of work the weather was not our friend. Getting a specific day to start work and board our dogs was a little frustrating because telephone calls were not quickly returned. The work took two days to complete. The job of cleaning the flagstone walkway was thorough. After the pebble stone porch dried, it showed discoloration in some spots. This was latter corrected and the seal is uniform. The deck was neatly sanded and stained. The cracks in the walkway were expertly patched and the new seal is beautiful and brings out the color of the flagstone. The three young men who did the work always seemed to want to make everything right. When the crew left, they provided us with some of the finish to do touch ups, if the need arises. It has taken longer for the deck to completely dry than expected because the weather has been abnormally wet and cold.

The Dexperts came recommended by the company that built our new deck. We had three quotes, Dexperts was the most expensive. All contractors agreed it was a two day job. We were under a deadline to have the deck stained. But Chad neglected to realistically inform us they might not be able to get to us in time. Plus the cold and rainy weather delayed their other jobs. The crew came and "finished" the job in one day. Once we saw the mediocre job that was done we called and talked to Chad. Without actually seeing the problem areas (uneven blotchy staining, unstained wood, drip lines, overspray on the house, stain on the hot tub) he became very defensive saying all that it needed was a touch up. Over the course of three more visits (over several weeks due to the holidays and the weather) the crew repainted the affected areas of the house and redid some of the problem areas. But not without denting our new hot tub cover by standing on it. Even after all that we asked them to come out again to stain in between the boards because we could see areas where the raw wood was exposed. They claimed no one stains that area but did come out to do it. Though not satisfied with their work even after they did try to fix the problems we were tired of dealing with the Dexperts and agreed to pay the remaining balance. By not taking the proper time to prep the house and the deck they increased their own work and our frustration unnecessarily. Overall it was a rushed job and it looks like it.

The work done was adequate but their follow up is horrible...non responsive when asked to return to correct some issues. Would never use or recommend them.

Everything went well. Deck looks great and I am satisfied with the service.

Everything was great from start to finish. From the time that Chad came out to quote the job through completion, we were always kept in the loop on the status through weekly updates. Even though the weather did not cooperate at times, we were always informed and contacted regularly. Chad is very knowledgeable about using the proper stain and technique with the proper wood species. Our deck is Ipe wood and cannot be prepped and stained in the "traditional" fashion, as was evident in how quickly the first stain job was deteriorating. The deck looks better now than it ever has and I would highly recommend Chad and his team for any job in the future, especially anything pertaining to specialty woods and stains. Great job guys!

The Dexperts responded within 24 hours to my concerns. I do want to note again that I did not contact the main office after i was not happy because I was not confident that I would want any crew they sent out working on my home. Chad went over all of my concerns and assured me he would have them taken care of. I feel confident that the way he will correct my concerns will be satisfactory and that my oaks will be taken care of. Once it is taken care of i will report on the progress and reevaluate their services. Well, the beginning with the estimates and weekly updates about when my deck would get done were encouraging and professional. But the work was not done well. The first time the crew came I noticed something in my driveway and couldn't figure out what it was. But then they came again and I knew what had happened. I had recently had my driveway sealed. They spilled acetone in one area that ruined the seal. Then when they came to do the concrete and deck they spilled the sunset colored stain on the driveway. Then used acetone to clean it up. I can still see it. Ruined my new driveway seal. Every time they came they left materials in my yard. I ended up discarding trash and the sprayer they used to do the concrete. I complained about them spraying the oaks around and within the deck and asked if i could wrap them before they sprayed anymore. I guess I should not have assumed that they would protect surrounding items and areas. They told me that if we wrapped the tress they wouldn't be able to get the wrap off. I stated that I would take it off after it was dry. Then they assured me that after it rained the stain would wash off the trees. Really? then wouldn't it wash off the deck too? They missed areas. There is still stain on my trees and brick and foundation. I am embarrassed when people notice because its like I don't know how to hire professionals. And I paid for this. I would have been much more conscientious if i would have done this myself. At least my beautiful oaks wouldn't be gray. Oh, and I was assured that they they could do a slight repair to the steps which they did but only after having to call someone and have it explained. Then they said they would try to tighten all the deck screws before the work was done. He told me he only saw 4. I pointed out a whole row of them as he told me that. But nothing could be done because he had sprayed already. I guess I needed to stand over them and watch but when you pay for work like this you expect much better results. I didn't have to watch their every move.

The Job went really well and we were very impressed with the quality of the work. Both the salesperson and the actual workers talked with us in detail about the job, materials, color choices and care of the wood and concrete. The weather delayed the start of the job, but they were very upfront and honest about the time table. There were about 30 days from contract to completion. Once they got started they were done in a day. Everything looks great. We are extremely pleased with the work and definitely recommend them to family, friends and anyone who reads this review.

The process went without a problem. The work done was exceptional and the deck looks great. My only problem with the process was clean-up. I found no less than 5 used sanding disks and one material instruction sheet scattered in the yard after the providers departure. Additionally, the provider trampled a small plant next to the deck.

Once the job was started they were quick and efficient. Nothing negative about the start date either, they said they were booked and told us it would be a few weeks before they were able to start. They also covered the adjacent pool so as not to get the any of the saw dust in it.

The Dexpert was a great company to deal with. Their schedule is very much weather dependent, and they called me every Monday without fail to let me know if they would be working at our house that week. Their staff and crew was always very professional and the end product looked fantastic. Thank you, Dexpert, for putting the perfect finishing touch on our backyard!

We had a new 560 square-foot cedar deck added in spring of 2013. About 6 months later we had three windows installed overlooking the deck. Although the window installation was ok, they did not protect the new deck and left masonry/stucco dust all over the deck and then stepped all over it, throughly trashing the deck. The Dexpert crew had origionally sanded and stained the new deck, so called them back to fix the mess. They cleaned it with deck cleaner one day, then three days later sanded the deck to the bare wood and applied stain. After drying a couple of days, it looks like new.

They did an excellent job one year ago. Now it's time to maintain it and it has been impossible to get a hold of them Multiple phone calls, and no response It's unfortunate because I was very pleased with their original job

The scheduled cleaning and prepping was set for a Friday, and the actual staining was set for the next day, Saturday. I received a call earlier in the week, they were available to do the work a day early. This was fine with my schedule, so the work was started early. (I can not remember the young mans name but he called first to say they were on their way) Two men showed up, they were very courteous, they began the prep cleaning. They worked extremely fast, cleaned up all of their tools when they were finished, and said they would see me in the morning to finish the job. The next day they called again to say they were on the way. They arrived and began sanding and staining the deck, they did break for a quick lunch, returned and completed the job. They cleaned the area again of all tools, left no sign that they had ever been there except for the beautifully restored re-stained deck! Oh, they did leave an extra can of "touch up" stain in case I needed it. I wrote a check to pay for their services, I included a tip, I would and will recommend Chad "The Dexpert" to anyone I can. Would I hire them again - without hesitation! I work with dozens of contractors each year and I cannot remember working with a more responsive, punctual or polite organization. The level of respect extended to my wife and I is unsurpassed. From the first appointment, until the project was completed the communication was timely and effective. Any questions or concerns were resolved immediately and it was clear customer satisfaction was job one. Impressive.

The two man Dexpert crew arrived promptly as scheduled and began the process of sanding and cleaning the cedar deck and cover for staining. They were knowledgeable and great to overview the process and to identify the best staining product. They were neat, thorough and continues to be informative about drying time and additional care to maintain a good stain for the longest time possible. I would highly recommend The "Dexpert" for deck staining. They provide other services such as concrete driveway, sidewalks and porch cleaning and I will consider that service from them in the future. Craig is one of the owners and he personally saw my project to completion.

Weather kept delaying start date. They worked very hard to keep me happy. There was a little miscommunication between two owners as to color for fence and some of the agreed upon work to be included. Craig was very informative and helpful when he uncovered some problems not related to his work but needed to be addressed. They were very neat and did an excellent clean up job. Chris was a very polite and helpful young man also. They walked me through at the end and made sure I was completely satisfied .

We played phone tag a few times and then it seems we did not get a return call, but possibly due to sprint dropping my messages and/or calls-- I later found out. But, we finally got in touch and set up the appointment. The guy who came over, Owner(?), was very nice and informative and offered a competitive price, so we set up the appointment to have them stain our patio cover. When the date arrived for the staining, the guys, that were going to do the actual staining, called to reschedule as they had run late on another job, which I understand that happens, but they didn't call until after they were 4 hours late. So, we rescheduled for the next day and they showed up to do the job. The two guys were very nice, but one had a fear of heights and was on his cell phone much of the time while the other did most of the work. They covered everything with tarp to avoid getting stain on our patio pavers and our brick, which I very much appreciated. The guy sanded off the ink stamps and other scuffs on the wood as the marks would have shown through the stain, they said. We had 3 estimates, and one company actually said they would not need to clean/sand the wood as it was new construction. So we're very happy they sanded off the marks on the wood before they stained it. After they completed the job, they had me review the final outcome. I told him everything looked good, but the stain on the 4 boards around the patio cover looked a little uneven/blotchy to me. He re-stained the 4 boards and they looked much better afterwards. Overall we're very happy. We had 3 estimates, one was twice the amount and the other half the amount. So we figured we got what we paid for and are happy with it. They were very nice and professional and informative, despite the phone tag, rescheduling, and the re-staining. Yes, we would use them again.
