He is bad business. He takes your money and doesn't finish the job. He doesn't respond to phone calls.

Michael and his crew put on our new roof in just under 2 days. He had a crew of 10 people. They used between 70-75 squares. For the most part, everything was fine, but I found that the crew was not as anal retentive about keeping material off the walls of the house, pool deck, grounds and pool as I would like. But I am very tough in this area. I also expected to be presented with detailed warranty write-up *prior* to final payment, but was stiff-armed on that front. It was almost immediately after giving final payment that I received the warranty. Michael was anxious to get the work started, but I had to wait for HOA approval. That proved frustrating for Michael, but eventually he relented. I gave the price a "fair" (I would prefer a fair-) rating as I feel that they took a bit advantage of the fact that I was using my insurance company. The mistake I made was not forcing an estimate up front so I could've recorvered some of my deductible. Michael worked with me on several initiatives, for example providing a great resource to replace my gutters. We did several upgrades which drove the price up a bit. In the end, I believe that they did quality work. I would ask them to be a little more attentive to the mess, and attention to details in the paperwork.

I contacted them based on work that was being done in my neighborhood, with a new metal roof being installed on a house that looked really good from the road. One gentleman came out to look at the job (beginning of July), including the painting that needed to be done, and I provided a copy of my insurance adjuster's worksheet. I requested a quote on a metal roof, to decide if i wanted to upgrade from asphalt shingles. He was polite, appeared knowledgeable about insurance claims, and assured me that they would respond with a quote. Time when by, so I contacted them, and they assured me that a quote was coming. A week or 2 went by with no contact, and when I contacted them, they said they wanted to come back out. This time, 2 different fellows came out (with a drone)(end of July), and were polite, courteous and, appeared to be knowledgeable. AGAIN, I described the work to be done, and that I wanted a quote on a metal roof. Weeks went by. Sent them an email saying "forget it", and got an email soon after apologizing and saying an estimate was coming. Well, a little more communication, and I got an email message that had some cost info in it, but NOT an official proposal/estimate on letterhead, signed, or with any detailed scope of work. I related that I needed something official, and this went on until September, when they asked to meet again, setting up a specific time on 9/15, then changing it to 9/16, which I acknowledged. They never showed, and I didn't hear another word from them.

Went very bad

Bad. Hired 10/2012. First project was to install double pane windows with argon gas. They installed some of the windows but regular low e. They began the siding knocked so hard there are still holes on the wall. Installed tub and it leaked. Instead of opening wall behind tub they opened it behind my closet. The siding was installed wit regular nails which began to rust. Covered dryer vent, vent to roof and outdoor light fixture. He sent someone to cut new hole for light.The metel roof vents came up missing. They were replaced with cedar. My daughter was home sick when Ralph and Alex came to install. She saw them taking the metal from an Arrow shed I had in the yard. I called Michael to notify him of the missing parts. There were also parts in the front yard they dropped. He sent Ralph out the next day to speak with me. Alex was on the ladder installing the other vent. Ralph denied the theft. During our conversation I walked to see what Alex was doing. When I looked at the bottom of the ladder along the house were additional metal framing from the shed. I decided to research his employee Ralph and found several lawsuits against him. I showed these to Michael and asked him not to send me back. This was Feb 2013. They still owed me windows, repairs from damage to home, shed and cabinets. In May he had his uncle install them. The granite has a gap between the wood to food falls in. Michael told me raise the stove and you won't see it. Where the previous counter was there'something an indentation on the wall that remains. He sent a gentleman (Jose ) in July to put sheet rock, texture and paint. They had installed smaller windows than the originals. So the rooms had exposed 2 x 4's. Now Jose refused to move items to repair the sheet rock because he wasn't told to and he was doing it as a favor. He repaired only one side of the hole on my bedroom closet which faced the den. The side which faces my bedroom still has holes. Michael said he'd send someone to fix the rusting nails to the siding in August. They weren't replaced but painted over with rustoleum. In October and November he said he'd send Jose but he failed to show saying family members had died and he'd gone to be with family. Dec 11, 2013 (1 yr and 2 months since original contract signed ) Michael came over. I showed Michael the contract and the labels from the windows which weren't what I purchased, including he still owed me a window. We also reviewed the other repairs and the fact I had a metal she'd which was incomplete to be erected. He stated he was going to Hawaii and then a 2 wk FEMA training. I contacted him again 2014 with no response. Now 3/2015 cement siding is falling off my home.

.We were impressed in every way with our interaction with Mike and his employees at Texas Roofing and Restoration. Their pricing was extremely reasonable (considering the amount of work we had done), and they worked hard to get the job done in the most efficient way possible. Our chimney had some significant wood rot and animal damage and by the time they were done, you can't even tell the difference between the undamaged part of the house and the places they repaired. The paint and trim job was excellent. I would highly recommend them without reservation based on both service and price.

Mike Acerra had his crew here as promised. The work was completed in a timely manner. They cleaned up completely at the end of the job. The estimate was more than fair and the owner was willing to work with us on payment. Overall, this was a very good experience. There have been several follow-up calls and Mike even came over after one of our infrequent rain showers no ensure all was well. This company does more than just roof repairs. I trust them completely amd fully plan to us them in the future. Thanks TEXAS ROOFING!

Hire this firm. Start to finish, it went phenomenally well! Mr. Acerra of Texas Roofing and Restoration Services returned my phone call the same day I called him (a Saturday), was at my house within an hour to provide an estimate, and before leaving wrote a written proposal and explained he could start within a week. After 24 hours of consideration, I am pleased I decided to hire Mr. Acerra. Mr. Acerra’s personnel arrived as scheduled and worked from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. everyday but Sunday until the job was complete. His people are polite and professional, fast, and did a remarkable job of cleaning up all debris from the entire area around my house at the end of each day. Mr. Acerra itemized every charge, kept me fully apprised of progress, and was constantly on-site to inspect his crew’s efforts. At the end of the job we conducted a joint inspection of the work. It was nearly impossible to tell where previously dry rotted wood was replaced with new as the paint matched so expertly well. The ridge line roof vents TRRS installed are fantastic and the interior painting and drywall repair is seamless. My endorsement is this: His proposal matched the work, the work exceeded ALL expectations (we began a period of relatively high rains at the very end of the job), and he remained in contact for a period after to ensure we remained completely satisfied with the work. If ever there was an example of better, faster, cheaper- this is it. Hire this firm.
