Tasco Air Conditioning

The home was older with 2 working systems and an abandoned system, this had been revised over the years before I purchased the home so I am sure the configuration was complicated. Several things they fixed correctly, however, when the new duct work was installed neither of the guys that originally evaluated the system was present and some of the duct work was not installed properly - ducts were left too long and kinked into spaces reducing airflow and two supply lines were also connected to returns. I actually felt the cold air blowing out of both the supply and return ducts so I know the wrong ducts were connected in two rooms. Old duct work that had been connected to a newer system was not recognized in the original evaluation so was not replaced and those rooms went from poor air conditioning to no air conditioning. Two companies I asked to review and estimate corrections to the Tasco repairs both checked the abandoned system for working ducts as part of their review and mentioned that is a common problem they always look for. Laine, who originally inspected the system and recommended the repairs, and is the reason I chose Tasco, never returned to the property again...not to oversee or check the work despite my request to do so. When it was time for the inspection, Tasco was suppose to be present but did not show up and the inspection failed, requiring a repeat inspection and another afternoon of my time. There was a representative from Tasco for the second inspection. In their defense, Tasco was responsive to my calls and was going to try to address the problems but by then I felt it better to use a company where the same person would supervise all the work for the revisions and anything new I needed in the future.

Lane was extremely polite, helpful, and focused on his job. I was impressed with his attention to detail and how he went above and beyond to make sure the AC unit was functioning correctly. I will absolutely use this company in the future.

It went really well. The technician was one time and professional. He did not try to sell us bogus parts or ID "problems." An issue we had back east. He also pointed out our builder had slipped a Lennox cover over our generic brand condenser, which will likely wear out sooner than the brand name. We are going to sign-up for their annual maintenance contract.

Things went very well. I would certainly go with them again.

I typically don't leave reviews but if you are looking for a review to help you make your decision please read this. When we contacted Lane he was at our house within three hours. He explained what needed to be done but never pressured us to do more than what was necessary. His crew was on time, extremely professional, and worked together to do a pretty large install. By the end of the evening our house was completely cool. But here's the best part. Ran into an issue later that evening where the unit turned off so my husband called to leave a voicemail since it was 10:30 at night. Lane called him back right away. Lane was here at 9 am and determined it was an electric issue. So he calls his Electrician, and within an hour he was there. It was a simple fix and it completely solved our problem. My husband and I were blown away by the professionalism, the customer service, and overall experience. You will not find a better A/C & Heating company. PS: The electrical piece was a pre-existing problem.

It was a very good experience. The company sent 2 techs at first and then came back 2-3 hours later with a team of 4. They did come back to do a final walk through to make sure everything was operating properly.

Owner showed up and performed the service. He was timely, courteous and professional.

Everything went smoothly and efficiently from evaluation to completion.

They made an appointment with me. They missed the first appointment, but the owner was very apologetic and came to the appointment we decided on. They did the work the next day.

No problem, they knew our history and recognized us as former buyers.

It went well. They met all the criteria of the deal. They advised me of when they would be coming and called when they were on their way out. They were very courteous and really fulfilled all expectations I had of the job. The majority of the service was outdoors, but they did come indoors to measure the amount of air coming out of the vents. Inside they were clean and tidy. They wore booties and were very protective of my floors.

Tasco is the best AC provider that I have ever dealt with. Years ago, I worked for an air conditioning company, so I am familiar with what a proper installation looks like. Tasco went beyond the extra mile. I am sure you can find companies to give you a better price, but, you will be hard pressed to find a company that pays attention to the details of the installation. I will do business with them again!

Great! Arrived on time and is always very friendly. Did the system checkup and said everything was good til the next checkup.

We had a couple of other companies ck. out everything earlier and all said there were some problems to address soon and due to the costs and fear of the poisoning getting worse, I called Trane and was told by them that for San Antonio their Specialist here was Tasco. Plus we already have a 10 year warrenty for labor and parts. So I called Tasco, they suggested I go online to Angie's List and get the Special Rate of $55. for a complete check out/full servicing. Lane, with Tasco came out the next morning and checked everything out and said it was in excellent condition and did not need any work. He also made suggestions which we greatly appreciated. The relief was wonderful for me and the fact that nothing more had to be done to the unit. Believe me when I say, Tasco and everyone there are true professionals from answering the phones to taking care of information and quick scheduling. You could tell by listening to Lane how much he cares for the customers and loves his business. This gentleman was an exceptional representative of Trane and very valuable to Tasco. They are the only Co. we will call on for now on. Its a pleasure to give them rightfully, this Review.

Jerry and the Tasco team came in and provided the best idea for putting a Central unit in this home. The price was extremely competitive for the challenges with this home. Even though it was a difficult install they completed it in a timely manner and system is working great. Thank you to the entire team in making this a great experience and no one should hesitate to use Tasco for your HVAC needs

Lane was great! We are selling our house and he was careful to look at the inspection report and do everything that was needed. He also volunteered a nice write up for the new buyers on what he did, didn't do, and why. Wouldn't hesitate to use him again in the future!

They never called to schedule my annual services. I had to call and remind them. They did a great service with the coupon, but when I bought the yearly check-up service they never followed up and I had to call remind them to schedule the appointment.

The service man found problems with our Trane Air Conditioner which has been causing excess moisture in the second story of our home along with leakage of freon. Our electricity bill is over $100 higher than usual this past month which I am sure these issues have't helped it. He was wonderful in pointing out exactly what was wrong and some of the causes to my husband so that he would understand and be able to talk to our home warranty company for repairs. One of the issues was an installation issue. We had this home built in 2009 and the builder's warranty is already worn off. We are working on using the manufacturer's warranty which is a 10 year warranty. He (the serviceman - I'm sorry I don't have his name) also informed us to let him know once it was fixed and he would return to do the 20 point check on that unit. I wasn't expecting him to offer to return and finish the rest of the inspection since he had already done so much in finding the problems causing the excess moisture in the area and increased electric costs. Laine came early after a call to see if it was okay. Very friendly but business like. He was here more than an hour and half. He checked everything to see if he could detect an answer to the burning smell. I couldn't have had a better person to check it out for me.

I wouldn't hesitate a minute to contact them if I needed anything repaired in their area of expertise. Five stars! These guys are GOOD.

Very punctual and professional. Even though it was the hottest part of the year and inside was sweltering because we did not have AC. They kept their cool and completed the job on time and cleaned up after.

I had gotten another estimate from a different company who wanted to charge me $1000 for the same work. I called Tasco late in the day on one day and explained what my AC unit needed and he thought I was being overcharged and said he would do all the same work for at least $1000 less. When the technician came, he was on time and completed the work and cleaned up all the mess he had to make and the AC unit has worked great ever since. The charge was $1000 less than the other company. I would highly recommend this company.

It was fine. Scheduling was good. They came out out quickly and were on-time. If I used them again it would be because the home warranty company doesn't cover the work that is needed to be done.

I couldn't be more please with the experience we had! I noticed, late in the afternoon, that our upstairs AC unit wasn't blowing cool air. I called Tasco, as a new customer, and they were willing to send someone out that evening. We decided to wait until the next morning, and Laine from Tasco came out first thing in the morning. He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained my options for replacement capacitors, and had the new one installed and the cooling began, all before my 9:30 am meeting I needed to go to Our unit is 16 years old, and Laine could have easily been dishonest and told me that the whole system needed replacing. Now I am wondering if the other 2 units I have replaced over the years with another company really needed replacing, or if there was a simpler, inexpensive fix, such as the one Tasco completed for me today!

Found the air vent leaking in the bathroom on a Friday evening. Called and Laine was out here within the hour. Had a clogged drain that he was able to fix. He also fixed some other fittings that weren't glued together properly when a different company had installed the air conditioner some years back. Very professional and courteous.
