Bj, was very professional. Showed up on time for project and his workers also deomonstrated very professional attitude , they stayed on budget and time frame as quoted. I would highly recoment this company and will also use their services for any future insulations needs. homeowner boyd byerly

On 6/11/13 we scheduled to have additional insulation sprayed into our attic. The workers came in without any paperwork, introduction or explanation of their plan. I asked about safety and cleanliness and was assured it would be confined to the attic. After spraying the insulation the men began cleanup. Using a large, utility type vacuum to sweep up around the base of the attic steps. During the cleanup, the vacuum malfunctioned and insulation came spraying back out the opposite direction. Filling our home with fiberglass insulation - down the hallway, through the dining room and into the kitchen and living room. Shortly after the incident occurred I spoke with the woman in the office, expressing my concern. I totally understand that mistakes happen and I assumed they would take responsibility and help us clean up and resolve this situation. Instead, she insinuated that I was overreacting and I would "be fine." This wasn't the first time I had spoken with her when calling the business and each time found her to be unprofessional. But, she said she would send the men back in to clean up. I trusted her and paid. The men told me they were going across the street to Target to get cleaning supplies, but they never returned. I was given no receipt or invoice of any type to verify the work. The owner of the company, BJ, who was not there, denies that this happened and claimed that we are lying. Stating to my husband, "I've dealt with customers like you before, sir, " and "yes, I do believe you are lying to me." We were absolutely shocked! We have made multiple attempts to contact the company again, asking for assistance and they have neglected to return our phone calls. We have spent the last 3 days working with home cleaners and air conditioner repairmen to help us clean up this awful mess. Since getting these experts involved we have discovered that this situation is much worse than we initially thought and we have not been able to stay in our home. Very stressful and disappointing. We were supposed to get an R-38 with rulers to be placed in the attic for measurement and monitoring of the level. I am not sure that this was done or not.

I have used them several times. They always do what they say they are going to do. Their service is great.

Sunshine insulation did work for me in 2006,but after a home energy audit in 12/11, I found that instead of having R 30 in my attic as I paid for, I had R 3. I called Bj and he came the next day. Even though it had been several years, he made good on the job and just fiinished blowing it again to R 30 for no cost. This company makes good on their services and product.s They corrected the problem and were on time and courteous. A good company that stands behind their work.

Regarding Estimate, this company arrived as scheduled for estimate, answered all my questions fully. Regarding actual work performed; excellent, quick, courteous, answered all my questions as they worked, diligent. I also want to add something very special about this company. The best part was that they plugged all the holes - they made a hole with a circle hole maker, then they filled the wall, then they plugged it with wooden premade plugs. I almost went with another company because the other company talked of how they kept the material to allow you to repair the holes on your own. I dont think what the other company talked about doing would have compared to what this company did. They did miss the kitchen below the sink, but we called them and they didnt question us, they just said when, and then sent the big truck all the way back to fill the kitchen as scheduled. I imagine Sunshine recognizes the excellent employees they have. We certainly appreciated them! We think Sunshine is an outstanding company.

I called for an estimate. The estimater arrived a few minutes early the next day. He went up in the attic and wrote up a bid. I advised him that I would check the depth of the insulation upon completion, if I accepted the bid. I accepted the bid the following day. I was informed that the truck was in for maintenance and availability was unknown. The agreed schedule was that afternoon. There were two delays of a day and when they did arrive they were a couple of hours later than the call said they would be. I was kept reasonably well informed and felt that they were telling me the truth about the situation as the parts and repairs of the truck took longer than anticipated. (this was a big factor to me ) When they did finally arrive it was on a Saturday. Upon arrival they started immediately and worked quickly. The job was excellent. It was worth the wait. I went up into the attic and checked. The insulation was all the way back in the far corners and in the difficult to reach areas. (Much of the difficult areas had very little insulation before) . My attic is tight. Measuring sticks had been put in and I was able to see the depth of the insulation. It met or exceeded the depth of insulation I had selected (R38), 14 1/2 inches. I feel that the installation crew made sure that the job was done right.

The installers were great, being very attentive and hardworking. I don't think I could have spent that much time crawling around the attic. Unfortunately, the installer did have a small accident and put a foot though the garage ceiling, which while not common is an occupational hazard. They called the office and the office called me and set up a repair crew to come out later that day. When they didn't show I called the office and they said they'd call back.. Apparently the crew was held up by the painter and they hadn't followed up. The office wanted to reschedule but I didn't want to take more time off and asked them to still send the crew same day, even without a painter. They eventually came and were very nice but got there so late it wasn't done until almost 830. BJ the estimator is a great guy but the back office does not match the standards set by him and the installers.

Sunshine Insulation gave me a quote over the phone and stood by in when they came. Their personnel were prompt, professional, and courteous. I would recommend them highly!

The previous owner of our house had "finished out" two walls of the attached garage by covering them with plywood sheets. Looks okay and makes it convenient to hang tools, but there was no insulation in the walls, both of which are adjacent to parts of the house. As a result, the kitchen cupboards on that wall could be used as a fridge in the winter! There was no easy way to take down the plywood to install insulation, but Sunshine Insulation proposed to drill holes between the studs and fill the openings with shredded spray-in insulation. Two workers spent about two hours doing the job. I was impressed that they didn't just start drilling holes and hooking up hoses right away but first looked carefully at what needed to be done. They saw that half of one wall couldn't be done because there was an opening at the top where the insulation would blow out if they tried to install it, and they called the office manager to get the cost of the job reduced accordingly. In terms of the work itself, they were fast, quiet, and completely professional, leaving the garage as clean as they had found it.

They did a great job for me. We didn't do the rest of the house because we are not quite ready for it but they did a great job for us. They came out when I called and they did the work that I asked them to do. There was a small glitch and they came back immediately and got it done so that it passed inspection. They were very professional. I would highly recommend them.

So far as I know, the job was done just fine. They were able to come out to do the job pretty much right away. They did stay with the estimated price that they had given us. They were also very neat. You could not even tell that they had been here.

Sunshine was able to perform the job within a couple days after I accepted their bid. The job lasted less than a couple hours, and the workers were courteous and helpful. It's a messy job and they seemed to clean up okay around the area.

This was my first time to use Angie's List and I was very satisfied with the results. My request for an estimate for blown fiberglass attic insulation was handled immediately over the phone, and the company was able to schedule the work for the next week. They gave me a 2-hour window of time for the day they were to do the work, and the insulation crew showed up exactly at the beginning of that time period. They worked efficiently and professionally. They completed the job and general clean-up within an hour and provided all the paperwork that I needed to submit for a reimbursement from the electric utility.

They were very honest about what services they felt were valuable for us. They did not try to sell us something that we did not need, and I appreciated that. They were able to give us a bid within two days of the initial call. The actual work was also done quickly. I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.

Smooth. Hard to get anyone on the phone on the first call, so I moved down my Angie's List call list for a quote from a competitor. Sunshine called me back about an hour later an gave me an estimate about 30% cheaper. Came out to formalize the estimate with an inspection. Arrived on time, courteous, etc. Then arrived to do the deed a few days later, again, on time, courteous, no mess, etc. Also provided me paperwork for an electric company rebate equal to about half the installation cost. Overall a very positive experience.

The owner who came to provide the estimate was very professional. JoAnn is also very nice and accommodating in scheduling. The 2 guys who came to blow in the insulation were nice, but not very professional in appearance or conversation. They did not clean up the floors before they left. The insulation was not even throughout the attic, areas in the back of the attic looked lower than areas at the entrance to attic. Overall, I think the product and price were very good.

Needed additional insulation in my attic, after getting estimates from four companies and researching cellulose insulation; Sunshine was definitely the best value; their team showed up promptly and installed the insulation for my 1700 sq.ft home in about two hours; very professional and friendly.
