 + -1 moreTile was fragile and Jim did excellent job with delicate material. He suggested source for tile and picked it up from dealer. Work was done promptly and courteously.

 + -1 moreLaying the plywood for the counter tops was tricky because the masons did not make the structure level. Jim solved this and layed the tile. I later had some minor issues with the tile and called him back. He had given me a 1 year guarantee on the work. After a couple of weeks I was tired of waiting for him to repair the work. I fixed it myself. About 2 months later he called and said he could come fix the work but I had already done it myself.
Description of Work: He laid the plywood and tiled my outside kitchen counter tops with 12 in. granite tiles.

 + -1 moreI was desperate to find a tile guy quickly. I used Angie's List. I left several messages for contractors but Jim with Straightline called back right away. He was able to meet me at my house the next day. He was prompt, courteous, and gave a fair price. Most of all he fit us into his schedule. He picked up the tile and installed it the next day! He was my hero! He and his helper were very pleasant and professional. The tile looks great!

 + -1 moreHe was very personable and attentive and polite. Everything about him was good, except the end result was bad. He came back three times and now he won't respond.
Description of Work: I called them to fix the tile above the baseboard of the tile. I wanted the tile which was the baseboard just put in. Only about 30 inches. They put in the new tile and the tile above the baseboard. It covered the crack completely. I told them to put something on so it wouldn't fall off. They had to come back three times. I finally gave up. Now they have quit responding or showing up. I am so fed up that I am going to call someone else. The price was great, but he never treated the surface beneath which I had initially told them to do.

 + 1 moreI was very happy, the job was completed in 5 days, it would have been sooner but drying time needs to be factored in for each step.
Description of Work: All floors in my house were replaced except the bathrooms. I purchased and provided the porcelain tile and removed all surfaces before the project started including carpeting, ceramic tile, and linoleum. We reviewed the advantages and disadvantages of the maintenance, sealing of the tile I selected. The installation was scheduled as soon as I was ready and installers were available - 2 days. The installers were there when they were scheduled and were on time. They cleaned up the garage when they were finished and hauled away tile scraps.

 + -1 moreOverall, this was a very positive experience. Jim was pleasant, competent, and all of his workers were very courteous and professional. They did a great job, were punctual, and cleaned up after the job was finished. I highly recommend this company and plan to use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Straight line tile put in a kitchen backsplash in our home. They did a beautiful job and we are very pleased with the results. I would definitely hire this company again.

 + 2 moreTwo workers who completed the kitchen subcontracted the work out. There was a problem with the granite counter top because it cracked during installation. We had to battle it out with them to come back and replace it, which took a long time because they had to match the granite up with the other counter top. They did do a good job at cleaning off the grout work on the tile installation.
Description of Work: We had old tile taken off the kitchen walls and a new granite counter top put on our sink. The old sink was removed and replaced and new tile put on.
