walked out on my remodel. bid the job to complete himself. started off strong for about a week and a half. then started cutting corners and hiring the cheapest labor he could find. would not pay his workers and ran out of money. I had to drive his subs to home depot and buy material so they could work. set me back almost a year, stopped returning my calls and made no effort to make things right. avoid any business dealings with this man

tit went OK. I had to call them back a few times for different things twice because they took things that did not belong to them. He made changes to things without consulting me or my wife, and I did not want. Overall the work is ok, but not worth the aggravation.

All of the team were excellent, professional and did everything to accommodate us the customer even when changes occurred as the project progressed. There were minor cost adjustments that were due to our changes to the design and discovery of some outdated items within the home; reminder home was built in 1972 when building codes were much different. The team brought everything up to code to insure not only a quality product but a safe environment. All of the trades, i.e., electrical, painting, carpentry, plumbing, tile were excellent. This project was completed in 18 days even with the changes and challenges that were encountered. Bobby and Art were exceptionally responsive to my wife’s questions, concerns and adjustments throughout this remodeling process always explaining everything as the project progressed. We have recommended South Central Texas Remodeling, LLC to our friends and others and will continue to do so when asked by folks needing a remodeling or home improvement in the future. Job was started as a flooding repair that I expanded into a full house remodel to include new bathrooms and kitchen countertops. This house was a rental and I am located in New Braunfels working a full time engineering job. Vela did all the demo, drywall, painting, wood floor and Tile, other contractors did the plumbing, counters, and carpet. As the project went along there were many occasion that Art asked “is that really what you want” with daily text, pictures, whatever it took to get the point across. Change order were proposed and approved over email with written estimates. The job even with all the additional work discovered along the way was completed on time and close to my original budget. A great value that added real equity to a house originally constructed in the 70s. Definitely an updated look as Art is a real artist in his field. When I would visit on the weekends it was not uncommon to have the neighbors and agents just passing through coming in to appreciate the work. The house was ready to occupy two weeks earlier than requiring allowing a new family the joy of moving into a brand new house.
