Description of Work: They steam cleaned my hallway, formal dining room and Great Room carpets. They did a terrific job as it was the first time I had them professionally cleaned. The price was higher then quoted when I made the appointment as there were other charges add such as disposal fee for disposing of the dirty water/cleaning fluids used to clean the carpets. But,they did move the sofa and end tables for me in the Great Room and helped put back the chairs and liquor cabinet I had moved out of the dining room. Even with the extra charge. I will use them again as they did do a great.

Description of Work: Diagnosed a bathroom leak, replaced a Moen cartridge and bathtub faucet. |I will say the Shafer Services was punctual, professional and the plumber they sent was the absolute best. My issue is with their pricing. Service call fee- $49, $29 after coupon. No problem. Diagnosis fee- over $200. Pretty steep. Flat rate fee for above mentioned repairs-around $350. Then wanted to charge $100+ for a cheap faucet. After discounts I paid $508 for some inexpensive parts. Glad it was fixed but their pricing is ridiculous. Kind of like after you get your prostate checked and you realize the doctor has both hands on your shoulders.

Description of Work: Another provider was out for junk removal and backed over the CV Valve box and busted the main. Shafer Plumbing had a dispatcher who tirelessly worked with both myself and the responsible party to coordinate a quick repair. The job was done the same night and the work was ver professional. These guys had to come after dark and didn't seem to mind or complain at all. Very impressed with this company. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: Pleased with our experience. Had a outdoor leak fixed and a garbage disposal installed. Was not completely happy with how much they charged.

Description of Work: Advertised $99 camera in drain but cost almost 3 times that. cost more than advertised. Otherwise work was fine. Have used them since the 90's for ac work and is excellent in that area.

Description of Work: I purchased a coupon from Shafer Services for the testing of a backflow preventer. They were prompt and courteous in scheduling an appointment. When they arrived they informed me that I did not have one to test so they gave me an estimate for its installation (as required by city code). I then contacted several other providers for additional estimates. In the end, I had a backflow preventer installed and tested for less than half of what Shafer Services quoted me. Shafer's serviceman was friendly, informative and polite. He made several small repairs in 2 bathrooms while he was here and installed (at his suggestion) a shut-off valve near the city's water meter. As these services were performed before contacting additional providers, I don't know how these prices would have compared.

Description of Work: I called to get a Saturday service call to get a shutoff valve installed on the hot water side of the water heater because of a leak. The tech that called back told me how to solve the problem with the shutoff on the cold side and saved me the expense and trouble of a weekend call. Could not have been more helpful or professional. I would use them in a minute to do plumbing repairs at my home.

Description of Work: I called for an estimate...Booth came out within a few hours, very through and knowledgeable, he gave me a rough estimate on the spot and will send a written one on Monday, the receptionist was also very nice.
