Description of Work: Thought they were very expensive for what they did (clearing a slow draining bathroom sink). They are good, but $300 for 10 min seems high.

Description of Work: They replaced the blower motor on the exchange unit which went out after 5:00 pm on Friday...naturally! I spoke with the service manager and we decided that a technician would come out on Saturday to check the unit. The technician showed up on time and determined that the motor was finished. He tried to get a replacement from the manufacturers warehouse, but they were closed on Saturday so we scheduled for Monday morning. Early Monday morning the installation technician was at my house and installed the new motor. The unit works fine now, I have used Shaffer Services for years and have always been satisfied with their services and professionalism.

Description of Work: Everything went great I was very satisfied with the service.

Description of Work: The water inlet valve to my washing machine was leaking and my washing machine was filling with water even though the water valves were in the off position. I received a call from the office staff stating the plumbers couldn't make it on the scheduled date, but they did arrive the next day at no extra charge. The leak was repaired and both flexible steel water hoses were replaced. The work was done well and efficiently.

Description of Work: My shower starting leaking just before we were about to leave on vacation. to avoid a costly emergency call I turned the main water supply off until our return. When I called Shafer I found the office personnel were great, respectful and very helpful. Although my job was not an emergency, I did want the repair done as soon as possible. I got an appointment for the following day. The technician, John, arrived on time. He was very through, very professional and knew exactly what he was doing. I was very pleased with the repair. My only concern is that the company uses a flat rate system for billing. After the repair I checked around for the price of the part replaced and it was $40.00. I think parts plus labor would have been a fairer method to bill for this type of work. I feel like I paid $320 to replace a $40 shower cartridge. Again, I was pleased with the work, just wish the bill would have been more inline with the time and amount of work required to complete the job.

Description of Work: They replace the plumbing lines from the house to the curb. It was a big job and Larry was excellent at keeping me posted on what was happening and approximate time they would finish each part of the job.
