Description of Work: Shafer Services came to the rescue. Our a/c went out on Sunday afternoon. We called our long time service provider and they said the earliest they could get to us would be Tuesday. The temp in the house was already at 86. This was not going to work. Luckily, I found Shafer and they could send someone out that same evening. Paul showed up and quickly solved the problem. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and respectful of our home. I plan to switch my a/c service plan to Shafer. Great job and thanks!

Description of Work: I called Shafer Services to do a routine service check on the central air conditioner at my rental house. I was there with the service technician and we both noticed that the condensate drain was slightly elevated so that water could build up in the system. When the technician removed the safety plug from the pipe we found that the pipe was full of water. We also found that the drain outside the house was too long and the opening was stuck in the ground.preventing water to drain from the pipe. This is the result of a previous technician from another company, I have always used Shafer Services and have always been satisfied. The drains were fixed and the pipe shortened to prevent any problems, system working very well now.

Description of Work: Performed a hot water tank flush and general plumbing inspection (purchased as a deal from Angie's list.) During inspection they detected corroded connections under a utility sink which they replaced and they rebuilt the flapper valve assembly in the master bath toilet to improve refill and flush strength. Very courteous and professional.

Description of Work: They replaced a fixture on my water service that broke and was leaking. They came one day, gave me an estimate and fixed it the next day for the quoted price that I admittedly accepted. If I hadn't been in such a bind I might have looked around for a better price.
