I was called 15 minutes prior to the appointment time to tell me that the technician was on his way. Chris arrived right on time and introduced himself and told me exactly what the process was for a yearly plumbing check. He checked all the bathroom fixtures, the washer, water softener, and all outdoor water lines to determine if there was any problems. He was very informative and answered all my questions.

I was called by Shafer Services to schedule my semi-annual heating A/C inspection and was told the approximate time it would take to complete the maintenance. On the scheduled day, Shafer Services called me prior to the technician arriving to let me know that he was on his way and would be at my house in 15 minutes (on time). Greg has worked on our system before and I was impressed that he remembered details about our house and also about my family. He performed the system maintenance making sure to keep me informed. At this check there was no issues discovered and a report was emailed directly to me that day.

Kitchen faucet was not working properly. Shafter Services tech Chris Chamrad let me know the faucet could be repaired or replaced. I chose to replace it a better quality faucet. Chris was professional and quickly had the new faucet installed.

Greg arrived and methodically went about a large number of checks performed for cooling: Wiring, electrical, coolant, coil, fan motor, capacitor, temperatures, thermostat, drain line, filter replaced... about 96 different questions Greg carefully explained what was performing well and what may need attention now and in the future. Altogether, an excellent service that helps your peace of mind.

Chris was the service technician, he was fast, friendly and knew his plumbing stuff. I would use them again.

Service is prompt, correct the first time.

I have a service agreement with Schafer that covers 3 annual inspections; one for A/C in the spring, one for Heating in the fall, and one for plumbing. For this inpection Bob checked all sinks, showers, toilets, water softener, water heater, outside faucet. He checked water temperature and pressure. He adjusted an out of alignment gasket in one shower.

Shafer called to remind us of our annual A/C inspection (covered in a service agreement). I scheduled for a Saturday. Rodney checked the A/C system and found no problems (it's a new system, installed a year-and-a-half ago by Shafer). He mentioned an energy saving package we could add to the system and described how it works. I decided to have it installed and it took about 1/2 hour. He also noticed our dryer vent was getting lint on our outside unit compressor so he washed off the lint and recommended I get a diverter.

I received notification from our water utility company that it was time for the annual backflow prevention test. The water utility company sent out a list of plumbers who are certified to perform the test. I compared the plumbing companies on the list with the ones on Angie's List. After reading the reviews, I called a few for price quotes, then saw the special listed on the page for Shafer Services. Since it was a savings not only off their price but also compared to the other plumbers I called, I purchased the special offer. Five minutes later, I called Shafer Services letting them know I purchased the offer and asked to schedule a time for the test. The nice lady (whose name I've forgotten, sorry) scheduled an appointment for that afternoon. Del S. showed up and performed the test. He was efficient and courteous. The company also will file the report with the utility company, one less thing for me to deal with! Thanks so much!

The check of the A/C system was thorough and he took pictures of the problem areas. He took the time to talk to the factory and found that the part that was rusted had a 10 year warrenty. He described in detail the cost to replace the item and how long it would take and that it could continue for another year or 2 before total failure. We elected to replace the item. Which is to be done on 11 march.

Quick. He found the problem and fixed it in less than 5 minutes. No charge, not even for service call. Then he did the free (part of the Shafer membership) check of all of our plumbing to see if any problems were developing.

Pipes were quickly relocated to accommodate the new vanity and sink. They moved all about 6 inches. The job was done quickly and professionally.

Bob was unusually thorough and I took the opportunity to ask him several questions that I had neglected to ask other technicians in the past. Bob explained the answers in great detail, and I learned more from his visit about my plumbing system than I had previously known. He pointed out several related items which I needed to address, and he also adjusted several things on my system to bring it up to par.

Our CO2 alarm went off at night with a very high reading, but when I picked it up to read it, the reading starting falling very fast, and went to zero within a minute. Called Shafer, and they offered to come right out, but after asking a number of questions, suggested that the CO2 alarm was probably defective. Since an emergency fee would have applied for a night call, I had them come out next morning. Greg arrived right on time at 7:00 AM as promised, checked the alarm, confirmed it was defective, and replaced it for free. We had bought it last year from Shafer, and it was still under warranty. He also checked around the Heating unit and Water heater to confirm there was no CO2 leakage. Service call was $20.00 since I have a service agreement with Shafer. We use Shafer for all Plumbing and AC requirements, and they are always very professional. I recommend them highly

They arrived on time, the gentleman was very knowledgable about the job. They even filed all the paper work for us. I will use them again If the need arises.

I checked Angie's list and called Shafer Plumbing today, 2/16/2013 requested quick service. They said I could have a plumber within about two hours. They finished the earlier job sooner than expected and called to let me know they were sending Bod Archambault and Carlos his assistant. They arrived and were very professional and polite. The work was performed in a timely period and they helped me move the washer and dryer into their position in the washroom. I am very pleased with their service and will use them again and recommend to a friend. Art

Shafer Services made an appointment for the backflow preventer test but called early in the day and asked if the technician could come by earlier. That was ok with us. Del S. performed the test which took about 30 minutes altogether. He was very courteous and completed the testing, paperwork, and was on his way in no time. It was that simple.I would definately hire Shafer Services for my next plumbing work.

Our kitchen water faucet (hot side) would not turn off. We cut the flow off at the hot water heater and called Shafer Services. Plumbing technician, Chris C., arrived even earlier than promised and was quick to correctly diagnose and fix the problem. He was most courteous and professional and even offered us a 10% discount for being a small non-profit organization (serving homeless women & children). We are very grateful to Chris and Shafer Services for helping us to quickly get our kitchen back in operation!

They were on time, but I felt like they were offering that service to try to sell more services.

On a Friday afternoon, I called Shafer Services at 1 pm when I noticed our old water heater leaking. The dispatch person said that someone would be able to help me by late afternoon and gave me a window of 3 to 5. The plumber called before he came and we were able to request that he go ahead and bring a new water heater to install. Robert and Del were professional, courteous, and extremely pleasant to deal with. They kept us up to date on the work and explained the costs to us. We could not have asked for better service. We signed up for their service contract which saved us money on the water heater and we will definitely use them again.

Overall experience of the workmanship of the Shafer Services team was GREAT! The team consisted of Hector, Edgar, and Josh. Oh and I cannot leave out Booth, who arrived on time with the team to first go over all that was to be done. They began working putting a tarp down throughout my home to catch all the debris. After that was done, they diligently began working in the attic to start on the conversion. They worked very hard all day long until the job was completed, putting on new grates throughout! Upon their completion they picked up all the tarps, vacuumed all the floors and put back all furniture. I could not have been more comfortable with this team of gentlemen, as they were very respectful and courteous the entire time. They never wavered from their work and were very professional. After receiving a courtesy call advising me that they were on their way, Booth & Hector arrived on time, were courteous and professional. They performed a complete inspection and air flow performance test on the duct work in my home to see if I had any leaks that needed to be repaired and if any adjustments to the duct work were needed. When we bought our home the whole garage was turned into a large den area. We invested in a new heating and air conditioning unit that would definitely handle the additional cooling and heating performance; however, we did not invest at that time into converting the air duct work to the house in order to have the unit work to its full potential. After Booth & Hector calculated the flow rates of air that we had in every area of the house it was concluded that a conversion is needed. I concurred and the work will be done tomorrow.
