The work was performed by a skilled technician. Thoroughness and attention to detail were obvious. When a plumber was not readily available, the plumbing manager immediately came and took care of the problem. Chuck Groth has a pleasing personality and his knowledgeability indicates many years of experience. Great job! We have used Shafer in the past and will continue to use them although we think their prices may be a little high.

Totally awesome..... Chris was very thorough in checking all components of our AC system. He made recommendations and suggestions on what we can do as a preventive maintenance. This was part of an annual program and definitely not where someone comes and is gone after 15 min. I am impressed with the level of service and will continue to renew

Julian Lopez knows these Mitsubishi Mini-Split units, and understood that the job required a COMPLETE cleaning. If just the blower wheel is cleaned, the mold will come back VERY QUICKLY, since the rest of the surfaces are covered in mold as well, and the spores are happy to grow back. If you have a Mitsubishi Mini-Split unit, ask for Julian because he really knows the unit. He was right on time, and did a great job. One caution about Shafer, they advertise a lot on TV, so part of what you are paying for is the cost of the advertising. I get the impression that the service people are expected to be salespeople, because they always seem to come up with something you can spend money on. Be real clear about what it is you want, and don't get talked into something that you may not need. Bottom line: They are professional and do good work and you will pay for it.

I contacted my Home Warranty company who sent me out a company who once they saw it was rodent, they would not fix it or even give me a quote. So I had to personally find another plumber, Shafer schedule me in the same day and kept me informed when and timing of arrival of the plumbers. Upon arrival they quoted me a price, fixed the issue in a matter of minutes and left. Very professional and polite.

OK but they couldn't determine why one room on one side of the house was not cooing as well as the adjacent rooms. No leaks were found in the duct work. Our explanation was some of the duct work was redone when the kitchen was remodeled. This may have cause a reduced air flow to the room that wasn't cooling as well.

Larry, the plumber, and Jason, his apprentice, worked 3 hours trying to find that pesky leak. They were professional, through and kept me informed on what they were doing. They called in Rodney the AC guy. Within 5 minutes he found the problem. Not just lucky. Rodney had that same leak at his home with his water heater. I have a new water heater and a dry house. One of the owners of Shafer called to follow up and made sure I was satisfied with the company. I could not be more impressed

Ismael Partida completed the work, answered my questions and was very neat. He was on time, did everything to my satisfaction, and was very pleasant, will request him for future work.

After more than a day of seeking someone to repair my water heater, I called Shafer. They responded immediately and repaired the appliance very quickly and professionally. They are now my go to plumber in the San Antonio area.

Jason came out pretty quickly and resolved the problem within a few minutes. Jason was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and explained every action he took.

They were prompt. Did a great job. The only issue I had was that the gentleman that would come by nightly to inspect the status of the water restoration portion frequently was considerably later than the time we were given. Otherwise, everything else was great.

Service was courteous, punctual, and effective. Communication with company was easy. For less than an hour of service and replacement of shower valve cartridge, felt like we were overcharged.

They tried to fix the toilet, including clearing the drain line. Determined that toilet was clogged due to hard water deposits. Installed a new toilet. Repaired drain pipes in bathtub. They were patient, professional, courteous, respectful of our home. They took the old toilet away and cleaned up the mess in the bathroom and bedroom where they gained access to the bathtub drain.

Leaked the next day. Told me that they were going to charge me for the weekend fix, on their own work.

They are over the top, really amazing. They clean up after themselves. They explain everything that we need and what they will offer, and yes, sometimes, like everybody, they offer things, but they don't get pushy about what they have to offer or think that we need. We have purchased a whole new heating and air conditioning system with them. We have been dealing with them for years. We have a contract; they give a discount because of that. I would give them an A-plus. I know others have said they were really high on price, but I want what they do. Usually they show up early, but they always call ahead of time. Their dispatch always calls and tells us when they're on their way. They keep in contact with the customer all the time.

They were able to come out the same day, but I did not use them because they would not quote a price for a very standard service. I even told them it was a 3/4" valve and was already threaded. No cutting required.

They came with very short notice. Did a great job, above and beyond. The service man was wonderful and very helpful.

Service tech (Larry) astutely identified a recent problem with pressure value that needed to be replaced. Water is running better.

I would say the visit was okay. It was good enough. It was the price that I'll put them at a C. I wouldn't say I wouldn't use them again, because you never know. Sometimes I'm just lazy about who I call, and I call a familiar thing.
