We purchased some appliances and garage door openers from Sears and set up for them to deliver/install them. We were told that the delivery/install folks would call us the night before our scheduled delivery to set a time to come. For the garage door openers, we heard nothing either the day before or the day of the scheduled install. Late in the afternoon I called Sears service, and after 2 times of waiting for them to and quot;call me right backand quot; the person on the phone gave me the cell number of the installer. I called and found out the number for the installer I was given was for someone in Houston, not San Antonio where I live. After two more days of trying to get someone to reschedule, I cancelled the order. I went to Lowe's, bought two garage door openers and set up for them to install. I have a phone call the next day and within 4 days they were installed. The appliances we ordered ended up producing a similar story. After being unsuccessful in trying to get them delivered and installed, I again went to Lowe's. They had to order the appliances, and when they came in, Lowe's was immediately on the phone to me to schedule the install, which happened 3 days later. Sears used to be a great place, but in talking to a manager when I was canceling my orders, I found out they have contracted out their delivery/installation services. I had no luck with those services, and it was obvious Sears had no way to make things right. On the garage door openers, I should mention, that I received a phone call from the delivery/install person a week after it had been scheduled. He called to schedule a new time, and I told him I cancelled the order because I had no contact. No apology was given, he just hung up.

After oil change was told cap was stripped and there was a leak. We had no leak when the car was taken in. We were also told the car need new shocks and struts and was quoted a price but was able to get the service done else where for a lower price.

After getting a jump, I drove to Sears Auto. It was middle of the day and slow for them. I was waited on right away and got in and out in less than an hour. Quick and reliable.

I was so pleased because the gentleman that helped me did not treat me like a stupid woman. He did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. He didn't talk down to me. I was in a hurry, on my way to work when the flat happened. Sears got me in, got me out. He pointed out that my other back tire was about to blow (it was obvious) and because he was so professional, I bought 2 tires and he got me a great deal on Goodyear tires for my car. I was so pleased with my experience, I will be going back when the time comes to replace my other 2 tires!
