He was very nice and professional. He quoted a price and gave me all the details. He was not pushy but was very patient. His team of installers really did the job well and quick. They moved heavy furniture and replaced it. I would highly recommend this company for your flooring needs. They were awesome.

AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! We had just over 1500sq ft of random honey birch flooring installed. Damon came out to measure and spent time answering all our questions first. He was on time and very professional. I feel he gave us more information about the industry than we needed to know - he even told us what their cost is on some items so we knew how much the markup was!! Juan and his team came in the first day and had all the carpet out within 40 minutes! They are respectful and VERY clean. The entire house was clean of extra debris every day before they left. This was a really big project, so there was a lot of weight (dumbbells, buckets of glue) laid all over the floor over night to help the wood adhere, but there were no nails, rags, pieces of scrap wood/carpet/tile left lying around. This entire project was completed just short of 3 days. The last thing they did was take a wet mop to clean all the dust and remaining pieces of dried glue off the floor. A few days later I noticed a small rub mark on one of the transition pieces about the size of a quarter. This was clearly there before the piece was installed. I called Damon and Juan came out within a few days to fix! Took him about 15 minutes to replace the entire piece. I would HIGHLY recommend River City Flooring to anyone. I have absolutely no complaints at all!

I contacted River City Flooring for an estimate for hardwood floors for first floor of our home. They were professional, gave detailed information over the phone, and set up a date to come out and give me an estimate within days. The owner came out to do measurements, brought (large) samples of wood as well as pictures of the floors in actual homes to give a better picture of what they would look like installed in different homes and settings. I also appreciated that he didn't try to sell me on having more flooring installed than I originally wanted to do. He was clear, professional and helped me in choosing the color of wood that would best suit my home. They don't offer an overwhelming number of 'shades' and 'colors' of wood and the quality of the hardwood they offer is above and beyond the other companies I researched. When I received the estimate over email, it was clear, concise and the owner called and walked us through it. When we were ready to have the floor put in, the date was set and the workers came out promptly and our floor was put down in a single day! It was a turn key installation. When the installers left the day the floor was put in, there was nothing left for them to do. Our floor looks great and we look forward to using River City in the future for the rest of our house!

Matt Jorgensen made an appointment to look at the property. He was punctual on the appointment which was very important to us. He efficiently calculated his estimate and furnished it immediately. He followed up with us the next day and we scheduled a date for installation. His crew was punctual as well. They finished timely. The flooring is beautiful and we plan to submit photos to him to help others make decisions. He and his crew exhibit professionalism and a knowledge of knowing what they are doing. We highly recommend them.

From the beginning, the River City Flooring representative (Damon) could not have been friendlier, more honest, or helpful with the process. He was fantastic through the entire installation (to include accommodating our difficult schedule and changing opinions on what we wanted done). The River City Flooring installation team also did a great job. They were on time, incredibly efficient, hard working, and highly skilled. Although RCF has a limited selection of material to choose from, they had more than enough options for us. If you have a very particular type/color of wood in mind, you might not find what you need . However, if you are looking for a high quality product, great install team, and outstanding customer service, look no further. Another thing that was a nice option was the dust-free tile removal RCF provided. It really cut down on the dust nightmare I heard so much about from other people who had hard wood floors installed.

Excellent service from beginning to end. Jordan came out the same day we looked in the store and measured the house. We were scheduled in less than a month, only holdup was us choosing the floors we wanted. They had the best price by far, many exceeded our quote in wood floor price alone. The crew of 4 finished our house in 2 days including removal of 150 sq ft of tile which was a dusty ordeal but the guys cleaned and helped move some big pieces of furniture before and after install. These guys are quick and very professional will recommend to all my friends and neighbors. Thank you RCF for the beautiful floors!!!

It went very, very well and I have already recommended RFC to several people who have raved over how gorgeous the floors are. RFC contacted me very soon after I sent them a message via Angie's List. They did a free estimate and took no money until the job was complete. They even finished early, which allowed the movers to get the furniture in here sooner (& save storage fees!). The house was all tile & carpet, so they also had to demo and remove all the debris. Matt & Damon (RFC owners) were extremely responsive, knowledgeable and professional as was Jordan in the showroom and Oscar who led the crew.

In brief, it went great! My daughter bought a 1978 built home in Woods of Shavano in San Antonio, and wanted the entire ground floor area completely redone. Damon Benedict of River City Floors came in, told us just what they offered and how the work would proceed, then measured for the work and gave us an estimate of the cost of the entire project. After we compared their projections with others, we agreed to have the work done. The RCF crew, led by Juan, came in promptly at the agreed time and went to work with the demolition. This crew of three did an amazing job of the demo, cleaned up after finishing by early afternoon, and said they would haul off the debris and return to install the new floor. That afternoon they began the floor installation, then came back the next day and finished up, including the final trim work. Because of the teamwork and skill of this three-man team, they completed the entire project in only two days! We can't emphasize strongly enough how pleased we are with River City Floors and their professionals. They delivered a quality product at a price we thought was very fair. I have to add an additional comment in closing. I have dealt with many contractors in the past; River City Flooring is a cut above all of them. This was the most professional home improvement group I have experienced. They were truly concerned about my daughter and responded to all of her concerns. Damon came on time to give us our estimate and helped us to make the perfect decision. The work was scheduled promptly and completed ahead of estimation. The job was done to perfection and we will recommend this entire team to anyone who asks!!

I can't say enough good things about Damon Benedict and the folks he works with. Damon delivers absolute outstanding customer service, anytime! The work crews were punctual, professional, did a superb job, and were finished when they said they would be. I only had to move small furniture, all the big stuff (couch, fridge, washer, dryer, etc.) was moved by the crew, and put back in place. I would recommend Rivercity Flooring any day ... great folks and companies like that are few and far in between!

I recently purchased a home and before I had anything in it I wanted to have wood flooring put in. Its always been a dream of mine to have a house, which I finally got, and to have wood floors. So I decided to sign up to Angie's List here because I wanted some peace of mind. I mean this is a huge purchase for me (other than the house) and I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to pay for something and to find out it was bad and hate myself for picking a bad company because I've read some scary reviews online from other places on other sites. This is what prompted me to sign up here at Angie's list. I found River City Flooring at the top of the list and saw the ratings and read most of the reviews and thought, what the h***, I felt confident enough to inquire further. So that same day I stopped by the business myself because I like to speak to someone face to face and have that personal touch. I met Mr. Damon Benedict (owner) who spoke with me right away. He is a real good guy and (as I've read elsewhere) is a straight shooter. He explained to me all that would be done and what to expect. We went over all the different wood types he had and we scheduled an in home visit. At this point I already had a good feeling about the guy and his company so I already knew I was going to be doing business with him. Later the next week he stopped by as scheduled and measured out the home and I told him what I'd like to have done. Which was every bedroom, every closet, the kitchen, dining room and main hallway. He also brought over a case with all of his samples for me to kinda of get a reference before I made my final decision. He gave me a quote right there that he walked me through and suggested a higher base board for the house as an option he had. At first I wasn't sure but d*** am I so glad I went with it! After a few weeks when the appointment date came around, his crew showed up and introduced themselves. Good guys always smiling and nice. I let them in and explained what I wanted done and man they hit the ground running. Before I left they were jumping on their own tasks, working in harmony and just making it happen. So I left for the day to get some rest at my father's and because I was just getting in the way of craftsmen and wouldn't have been able to help anyway. The next day I returned and I couldn't believe home much they got done in that one day. By day 3 they were finished around mid day. I was blown away by how the placed looked. Total turn around. My goodness and again that base board made it look even better. I was jumping up and down like a fool because my dream came true and it was just too awesome. No joke when I say this, I wish I could buy another home just to do this again and to see the transformation. Totally loved it and totally recommend this place to anyone who wants wood flooring put in their home. So yes the A rating is definitely deserved.

I called and spoke to Damon who promptly came out to my home to give me an estimate. He showed up to my house on time and with several options of flooring. After looking at our home and taking measurements, Damon offered the recommendation to go with the Auburn based on our existing furniture color, which we did. It was a perfect. We replaced the carpet with hard wood for our entire floor including guest bedroom, kitchen our kitchen closet, living room, dining room. We booked the appointment in 2 weeks to start the work. The crew showed up a day earlier as they finished the work on other site earlier. They began the work. They demo'ed over 1500sq Ft of carpet, some tiles prepared the slab, and glued over 1500 sqft of flooring in my home. All of this was completed in 2 days, which I found to be extremely fast and efficient. I have to thank personally Damon and his crew for such a professionalism and the way they pay attention to the detail. The best thing was that they did not even take any advance to start the job. WhenI spoke to Damon and asked about it all he said was that after they finish the work we can pay. These guys are amazing. If I need to do my flooring upstairs these are the guys I am going to go with.

I had two companies come out and give me a bid for new wood flooring. A friend of the family had highly recommended River City Flooring so I had one of the owners, Damon Benedict, come out and give a bid. His prices were significantly better than his competitor (who is also highly recommended on Angie's List). I had met with Damon at his showroom to look at all the flooring options and he then took me to two homes they were currently installing wood flooring in. We have 3 fireplaces, three plaster pillars and 2 floor electrical outlets the installers would have to work with, so I wanted QUALITY installation done otherwise they could really ruin the look of several of my rooms. To say that I was impressed with the work they had done in my house is putting it lightly and I am not necessarily the easiest person to please. Damon was a pleasure to work with and the guys under his employment are extremely professional. The electrician who Damon works with is one of the nicest men I had ever met. He even came out on a Sunday, before his bible study began, to help with a problem I was having with new electrical outlets I had to get installed. I had a great experience with River City Flooring and plan to use them in the future for on my staircase, hallway and media room.

Went great. Crew was top notch. They installed hardwood in dining room, living room, master bedroom, hallway, and stairway. They removed tile from the hallway. It took them two days from start to finish. The stairway turned out real nice. All the cuts were clean and precise. No need for trim to cover the joints. These guys are good and their work is excellent.

The installers did a great job. Totally cleaned up everyday. Put all furniture back in place and placed felt pads on all of the furniture. The floors exceeded my expectations. They look great.

They gave us wonderful advice. Knowledgeable, professional and reliable. The only recommend I would make is to aquire a little more patience. Matt was our salesman and I can understand him getting a little impatient with our difficulty in making a decision, but that is something the client should never see. He should realize that this is a huge investment on the part of the buyer. Other than that he was very pleasant to deal with and we would definitely use them again.

He suggested (again no pressure) that they replace our existing molding with a higher profile molding which we ended up doing. The installers arrived as scheduled and worked diligently until the job was complete. I'm pretty picky but was truly wowed by the quality of the work. The lead installer, Juan, was amazing, and his second in command, Ernie, was very good too. The flooring installation was outstanding and the new molding transformed the look of our home. The white stair risers were equally impressive. After addressing the few punch items we had for them, the installers continued to fine tune their installation for an additional couple of hours! Truly amazing attention to detail. We are very happy. One final note - River City did not ask for any deposit or payment until the work was complete, and there were no surprises between the original estimate and final cost. I think that's pretty telling about the company and their values. Great job River City.

We scheduled the work for October 20, 2014. The crew that came out, did a fantastic job. The site foreman, Adrian, had a young crew of two, Jorge and Ruben. These guys are young but they were absolutely top-notch in their work. They demonstrated an admirable work ethic and professionalism that is not seen much these days. Their attention to detail was superb. If I asked them to look at an area of concern that I had, they quickly and politely addressed it. They were considerate of our existing furniture and handled them with care as the moved it around to do their work. It took them three days to complete their work. At the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves and kept my home and yard tidy each day they worked. The stairway work was a work of art. Have received many compliments on my stairs. The materials used is as good as anyone can expect; very top quality. The work was completed on October 22, 2014. I'd recommend River City Flooring to anyone that needs new flooring.

We ended up deciding on a different product (another vendor had the specific style we were looking for) and thus ultimately we did not go with them, but we were really impressed by his customer service and we would definitely recommend this company to those looking for flooring in the Austin area.

The 3 man crew sent by Kyle was excellent. They were not only prompt to arrive but worked throughout the day with hardly a break. When they completed the job that same day, they cleaned up the area and offered to move all the furniture back. My husband observed their work throughout the day and was impressed by their skills. Our floors look great and we will use them again if we decide to do hardwood in the bedrooms. I highly recommend River City Flooring.

These guys are outstanding. My wife met them at the Home and Garden Show and set up an appointment. Damon came out and showed his product and we went over all the deatils of the installation procedures. We selected River Center Flooring from several companies. I checked them out on Angies List and was pleased to see the positive comments. Now, the crew was like a well oiled machine. They have been working together for quite a while. Damon called them the "A Team" and the name fits. The quality of workmanship is evident in the hardwood going up the staircase. I'm a construction worker and I know good work when I see it...The price was acutally less then what I expect for this project. And I didn't put up any money until the job was completely finished. That alone, tells me this company stands behind it product. For all my flooring needs these are my guys.
