Ready Set Redesign

In my opinion, it did not go well. Ms. Haignere's big idea was to move the furniture in my living room to my family room, which is a non-solution. (I would still have to decorate my living room.) I gave her a preferred color scheme, which she completely ignored, and she didn't seem to hear any of my concerns or ideas. She seemed very concerned about saving me money, even though I didn't give her a budget or ask for this kind of assistance. In the end, she didn't even stay for the full hour. I would NOT recommend Ms. Haignere to another person in need of interior decorating services. I just felt that she was not sensitive to the needs of her customer. (Perhaps this is because I bought a deal, rather than hiring her to get her full services.)

It was wonderful. Diane was quite responsive to all of our questions. She made recommendations for paint colors, furniture arrangements, floor coverings, etc. Some of her recommendations confirmed ideas I had been thinking about that may have not gone over with my husband without her input. She also expanded on our ideas about installing hardwood floors, etc. which we both loved. Diane was very relaxed, friendly, and approachable and I would recommend her to my friends and family.

Diane was great, she had lots of ideas, answered my specific questions, gave me overall concepts for future reference, and even jumped in to help move furniture pieces around!

Went well. I also received a follow-up email asking about progress and if I needed anything, her contact information again.

I was very pleased at the end of the 2 hour session. At the end of the session I had 3-4 pages of hand written notes with recommendations for several rooms in our home. Diane shared her knowledge regarding retail establishments in which I may find the recommended items to purchase. I can't think of anything else I would have wanted other than to have Diane make the purchases and place them in our home. :-) I would definitely have her back to complete a few more rooms in our home.

I called Diane for an appointment and told her briefly what I had in mind. Most importantly, I need to have my bathroom completely gutted and remodeled. I also plan to move in the next few years, so need to do it in a way that would be marketable, but also keep my interests in mind. She arrived promptly for the appointment and was well prepared. We went straight to the bathroom that needed redone and she gave me many valuable suggestions. I had been doing a lot of thinking about the project and was very glad to get her fresh input and hear that she was supportive of my ideas. Then we went through the entire house room by room and she gave me all kinds of ideas for each room. She talked of furniture rearrangement (using my existing furniture!), ways to open up the rooms and keep them light and airy. After she went through each room, she gave me color suggestions for repainting each area (and they all need it) She chose colors that will be warm and inviting, as well as co-ordinated throughout the house. She also gave me techniques to use to purge out my unwanted items, and not be so overwhelmed by it all. She was inspirational and quite a cheerleader for me, especially since I've been here 25 years and am feeling quite overwhelmed by it all. I had no idea we could accomplish so much in the 2 hours she was here. All in all I am very pleased, will recommend her to others and probably use her again once I move.

Diane arrived exactly on time and immediately got to work. We found her to be very knowledgeable and professional. In addition to her interior design suggestions, she also answered questions about a drainage problem on the outside of the house. We are very excited to implement her ideas and will certainly call on her again if we have other decorating proejcts in the future.

Bought an Angie's List coupon and couldn't be happier! Emailed to make arrangements to meet. Day of meeting was one of the worst traffic days ever, with 270 being closed. Diane called ahead to say she'd be late - I figured, but appreciated the call anyway, very professional. We had two hours together and I was basically asking for my entire house to be looked at with recommendations front to back, top to bottom. Down-to-earth, smart, easy, affordable recommendations! I couldn't believe how much bigger our space looks - wish I had done this on the way into the house, and not on the way out! Easy things like where to put the tv, couch, chair, even adding a new accent chair and the space still looks and feels bigger. Had a long list of to-dos and still working our way through, but extremely happy with the results and confident that we'll use Diane's services again.

From the very start she called me right away, when she arrived at our first session she started asking all the right questions. I wated "design on a dime" because of a budget I had set. She made it work, and also made the rooms make sense. Helped me make my look complete by finishing what I had tried to start on my own. I had booked multiple sessions, that's how happy I am with her work!

It was okay. When Diane came to my house, she was on time and she worked very quickly, which I appreciated. She drew sketches of new layouts for my rooms and suggested items to buy to make my house look a little nicer. She was especially helpful with telling me the scale of items to buy (picture sizes, table heights, lamp heights etc) and where to add lamps for better lighting. My only "complaint" was that when I went to arrange my room the way she suggested, I realized it won't work with my furniture. The problem is that I can't fit a sofa table behind my sofa and still fit my furniture in my living room. I've asked several people to make sure that I'm not missing something and they all agree. I've still incorporated her other ideas as well as reorganized the living room without the sofa table.

She did a great job. She gave me suggestions. I rate them high overall. They were very good. I was really happy.

Diane Haignere, from Ready Set Redesign did the service for me. I liked the fact that she came to my house and talked with me. She took the time to give me ideas. I was under the impression that she will go with me to the store and have me chose stuff but she didn’t. It was not her fault. I think I just misunderstood. It was not part of her service. The experience was pretty good. It was very positive.

Time was used for efficiently and her suggested were exactly what needed to be done.

I am about to begin remodeling my home and I was overwhelmed with all of the design choices that needed to be made. Diane came in and in 1 hour helped me select color and materials for almost every room in my home! I can't believe how much we accomplished and how great I feel about her ideas and advice. I can't wait to bring her back thoughout the project at different decision points. What a wonderful experience it was to work with her.

She was very well organized. We got it done within an hour because I knew what I wanted.

The time with Diane was great and well worth the money...a bargain, honestly. 1 hour provided my wife and me with more ideas, details, decorating suggestions and guidance than we could figure out on our own in a year. From the meeting we were able to put together a summary of "to-do's" that are well worth our time. She also provided us with paint samples for our bathroom and did a really nice job of walking us through remodel ideas for the space that would be cost-effective and look great.

Diane came to our home to help us with a remodeling project we were undertaking. We were remodeling our kitchen/dining/family room area. Diane had fantastic ideas that were totally out of the box from the way we had been thinking. She was very easy and comfortable to work with. She took time to understand what we were looking to do, and then she very respectfully gave us her input and ideas. She was great. We will use her again in the future.

Wow! After purchasing the service through an Angie's List Big deal, I e-mailed Diane. Within an hour, she responded, and three days later, she arrived precisely at the time we set. I carried a legal pad with me as we walked through the house, and took four pages of notes! She also left me with a list of colors to use in each room. I am now 100% confident that I'll have a house ready for sale with Diane's expert advice. Her knowledge of colors, getting rid of the dated look in my home, and lightening a house that's always been dark (hey, that was the rage when it was built!), and suggestions for inexpensive ways of tackling problem areas was absolutely amazing! For example, my kitchen has a soffit with a grid that held pebbled plexiglass panels, lit by four fluorescent lamps. In a word, it was ugly. I dreaded ripping out the drywall and making the ceiling flush with the remainder of the kitchen. But Diane had a better idea. Get rid of the panels and the grid. Leave the soffit in place, and paint it, then replace the old flourescents with track lights. What a perfect idea - simple, inexpensive, and very little work. Diane is, as the saying goes, "the real thing." She's responsive, punctual, professional and extremely knowledgeable. She was exactly the right person at exactly the right time for this design-challenged guy! I highly recommend her.

This is the third time I have used her services in less than a year. She is great about asking questions and understanding what you are looking for. I have moved several times and nothing every fits the same way. Diane comes in and makes suggestions. She will roll up her sleeves and move the furniture around, hang picture, mirrors or whatever. She will help you utilize items you already own and then give you a design plan for purchasing other items to complete your room. She will make suggestions on places to pick-up the items you are missing. If you want, she also offers services to go and purchase items you made need. I would highly recommend her. I know she has helped make my house, my home! (She is also very fun to work with)

overall, it has been a positive experience

It went beyond my expectations. Diane came and she gave me ideas for having the exterior of our house painted. I was in a turmoil about what colors to use. She gave great, solid suggestions and gave an idea about a little fencing. She spent some time looking at 2 rooms that we have and suggested room colors and furniture arrangement. She was a delight to be with. The fee was very well spent and like I said, she exceeded my expectations.

Everything turned out very well! Diane was incredibly professional, friendly and knowledgeable. She gave some really good suggestions. I’m glad I got the chance to work her.
