Ready Set Redesign

Diane is great. She is very helpful and works within a budget. She comes up with great design ideas very quickly. Highly recommended. Diane is a joy to work with.

Diane looked over our 40 year old house and went right to work on giving it a fresh and updated look. She re-arranged furniture and lighting in ways I would never have thought of and the rooms are now more inviting. She has a great sense of color and style and helped me pick out new color schemes for several rooms. All and all a great experience and I give a big thumbs up to Diane and her company, Ready Set Redesign.

A great experience! She used the things we had to bring our space together and made excellent suggestions of things we could purchase to enhance each room. Thoughtful recommendations were made in each area of our home that we asked for help and we really felt like she understood our style and how to bring it out beautifully.

Simply put, Diane knows her stuff. She is also extremely professional (and yet kind to those of us who are, shall we say, aesthetically challenged). She went carefully through our kitchen and LR great-room area with us, first listening carefully to our thoughts and needs, and then outlining an overall design with specific suggestions (such as the type of lights she would recommend). She was even patient, maybe even a little amused, as I insisted on specifics ("how big a lamp? what color?"). I was impressed that she was conscious that people have limited budgets. She did her best to make use of the things we already had instead of telling us to go out and buy lots of new things. For instance, even though we said we were thinking of buying new tables, she suggested painting the ones we already had and using the budget towards more important issues. We found her advice to be spot-on across the board, even things we initially disagreed with her on (like whether to choose a light or dark wood floor). I would use her services again without hesitation.

She arrived on time, worked intently during the time she was here and left notes for things I may have forgotten.

I got involved with Ready Set Redesign through a Big Deal on Angie's List. It was a very good experience. Shorty after I purchased the Big Deal, I got an email thanking me and providing details for making an appointment. I chose to wait several months to make the appointment because of other priorities. Once I called, she was very responsive in coming out to my house. She took time to take the proper measurements for a number of things she recommended for the room and she provided color recommendations. She also was nice enough to offer suggestions in other rooms in the house. Before leaving, she created a very detailed plan for me to follow. Although I chose not to incorporate all the suggestions, I was very pleased with the recommendations she made. It gave me a lot to think about and decide what it was what I really liked. The price was very reasonable due to the deal she offered though Angie's List.

We have a century house with large rooms but so many doors, windows, divergent focal points, and bulky steam radiators that arranging furniture in the living room and creating a functional kitchen workspace is a challenge. We wanted a professional designer to help us make the space more attractive and functional. In retrospect, this type of Big Deal would have been satisfactory for us only if the designer came up with a brilliant idea or if we were sufficiently inspired by her idea(s) to form a more traditional designer-customer relationship. Diane Haignere was professional in making and keeping her appointment and following up to see if we had additional needs. She lives in Columbus but travels to Cleveland about once a month, so we worked out a mutually convenient evening. Her primary suggestion during the brain storming session was that we turn our dining room into a kitchen, which is fine in isolation or for an entertaining HGTV style show, but I wasn't convinced that the house's first floor would look good or function well with that change. We did not use her idea, but Diane did everything she was supposed to under the Big Deal. If we were not working with the time constraints of the Big Deal, perhaps we would have regrouped and come up with a plan that satisfied everyone. As it stands now, I am considering hiring a local kitchen designer to help us make the large existing kitchen more efficient.

I canceled this service however, when speaking to them on the phone they were very courteous.

I have worked with Diane before when she provided recommendations for updates we made to our master bath and our kitchen. Diane is fantastic to work with. She thinks of ways to save money when making recommendations and is very helpful. I would not hesitate to use her services again.

It worked out pretty good. We didn’t use up the whole hour, but she had some very good ideas.

Diane was really impressive. She put together a design for my kitchen (lighting, flooring, general layout) and gave me paint chips for my downstairs bath and office -- all in one hour. Really amazing ability. The only problem I had was in scheduling the appointment in the first place, but once we finally locked in a date (after rescheduling once or twice), the experience was great.

She came over and gave us some great ideas, even came over in the middle of a snow storm, and was well worth the money. It was great because she gave us a beginning point to get the big project completed to satisfactory.

Diane Haignere came to my house and I explained that I wanted to purchase a new living room set and get rid of the sectional. I wanted her opinion on how the room could be arranged with other furniture. Instead she used the existing furniture and moved pieces from other rooms and arranged the room. She really didn't listen to what I wanted, she just did her own thing. Since the hour wasn't up, she then went into another room and was changing things around. Overall, it wasn't what I wanted or needed

Diane Haignere, the interior designer, was professional and personable. She arrived on time and answered all my qeustions and made great suggestions. Services were rendered in the time allotted, and I did not feel rushed. A good idea is to have your questions and ideas ready before the consultation. It was a great experience and very helpful. Within a week or so, I received a very nice note from her with paint samples we had discussed and a referral for work we had discussed during her visit.

The overall experience exceeded my expectations. There was a lot of work performed in a short amount of time. Be prepared for lifting and moving furniture of all sizes. It amazed me how Diane was ready to roll-up her sleeves and get to work; moving even heavy furniture. So, if you are an older person; or someone with neck/ back problems; have someone on hand who can handle the task of helping Diane relocate furniture pieces. She has wonderful, creative ideas and was a joy to work with; while rearranging my home.

It was a valuable and productive consultation and I would recommend Diane Haignere to anybody who is undecided about colors, direction and overall package in any room in the house.

It went very well. She had some great ideas and now that we have implemented them we are very happy.

She was very nice, made several suggestions. She explained Feng Shui well and didn't make you take advice she gave. She was not persistent on you taking her advice and pleasant and personable.

Overall I was very pleased with her ideas especially since the room is long & narrow & not a whole lot you can do with the room.
