She picked up on my taste quickly and made excellent suggestions on how to improve my home. I liked the paint color she suggested and I unexpectedly received paint color samples in the mail after her visit. It was a very nice surprise!

+ -1 moreDiane is a brilliant, creative and practical interior designer. My wife and I had been going in circles on how to furnish, rearrange and decorate 2 rooms. Diane came in, talked with us, asked us smart questions, learned what we like, and quickly gave us some recommendations to improve the appearance and functionality of the 2 rooms. She also gave great suggestions and options on the more difficult and complex issues. Note to readers of this review: My wide and I did our homework first, including writing down all our questions, taking dimensions, sketching current floor layouts, collecting example photos of what we like, etc. That made our time with Diane much more productive. It was so nice to have a good experience with Diane (Ready Set Redesign), after having such an awful experience with Homemade Design.

Instead we spent quite a bit of time discussing total remodeling projects. I feel confident that Ready, Set, Design is a quality firm. + -1 moreWe moved into the house about 3 years back and were thinking to have a professional design consultation. That's when heard the Angie's big deal was offering Diane's services. We immediately brought the deal. Diane sent out an email ahead of time asking us on what we wanted to cover and also on her thoughts. Diane walked through all the rooms that we had already painted and decorated. It gave her and idea of what our likes and dislikes were. With that she suggested multiple color palates for each room, curtain ideas, mat colors to match existing furniture, furniture and wall paint reorganization ideas. We had the rooms painted with the some colors she suggested and they came out very elegant. We had few gatherings at home after that and everyone has complimented how elegant the house looks and also makes it cozy/comfortable. We would definitely recommend her.

Diane went over many ideas for my family room, kitchen, and we had some time to talk about my dining room/living room. + -1 moreDiane was very good at helping me create a more concrete design plan based upon some disparate ideas I had for several rooms in my home. I knew where I wanted to go but didn't know how to get there. Because she is not aligned with particular suppliers and works at a variety of price points, you are not boxed into a 'preferred' design solution. There are several pieces of furniture that I can now re-purpose and use with new pieces, greatly reducing my costs and creating a more interesting living environment. I will definitely use her again to keep me on track as things progress throughout my house.

She came in at the appointment time and immediately went to work. Furniture was moved, some added and a couple of pieces that need to be removed all together. She also made suggestions of color or fabric pattern along the way. By the time she left, I had a clear list of the finishing touches that I needed to make my home look DESIGNED!

+ -1 moreDiane was very accommodating in setting up our appointment and arrived right on time. We were still in the planning stages for renovating our kitchen and also wanted some advice on how to spruce up our living and dining rooms. After Daine got a sense for our overall style, I explained my decorating/renovation concerns, our budget, and what I hoped to get out of our appointment. Diane then prepared detailed sketches and showed me examples of the colors and products she would recommend us using. I think it helped that I was able to show her examples of what we had thought might work. After our visit she followed through with larger samples of the paint colors she had proposed. We ended up using almost the exact kitchen countertop and backsplash materials and colors she recommended, along with the wall and ceiling paint colors she chose, and we are really happy with the results. We never would have come up with these choices on our own. I didn't like all of the recommendations she made, but overall I'm really glad I was able to get the benefit of her professional expertise and I would use her services again.
