Quarter Moon Plumbing, AC & Heating

It went very well. They are very professional, and kept us informed at each step of the process. We have very hard ground with a lot of rocks, so the digging was not easy. They had to divert some of the drain pipes to avert cutting down crape martles. The price was very reasonable compared to other prices that I had received.

I called on a Friday, they inspected my hot water heater and discovered that it was still under warranty. They went and got the new water heater and installed it. He hauled the water heater to the 2nd floor and installed it and removed the old one. Because we called on a Friday, we were worried we'd have to wait until the weekend was over for service, but they came out the same day. My only gripe was paying $99. per hour for the drive time to and from the plumbing shop to get the new water heater. I submitted a comment card, and Bryan called me to discuss the matter. He appreciated the feedback on the drive time charge, we he offered to reduce it.

Before calling Quarter Moon, I had gotten extremely high quotes from 2 other companies. When I finally called Quarter Moon, I was so afraid it would cost tons of money and I was really nervous. I spoke to Dario who was sooooooooo nice and genuinely cared about my concern with the cost as well the problem I was having with the leak. He put me at ease right away and I am so thankful for that. Kevin and Zach came to test the back flow and repair the leak that appeared to be coming from the back flow valve. When Kevin and Zach arrived, they assessed the situation and started immediately. Within a few minutes they were able to dig up the ground where the leak was located and find and fix the source of the leak. They put the grass plugs back in and even discovered a sprinkler box that had been overgrown with grass. They cut a hole in the grass to expose the sprinkler box which was something they didn't have to do. Then they proceeded with the back flow test. They only charged me for one hour of labor. I am extremely pleased with the service and the price ($105). The other two companies gave estimates between $400 and over $1000. Thank you Quarter Moon (Dario, Kevin and Zach) for doing a fantastic job and for being honest!!! I wish everyone could have this kind of great experience with a plumbing company!!!

I have used Quarter Moon before and again i was extremly satisfied with their work. The office kept constant communication with us, the plumbers were prompt and knew their business. They got the job done on time.

They acted professionally and seemed to actually care about me the homeowner and not just this is a service call. So that the line would not have to be dug up again should there be an issue again he installed an access cover for easy repair. The repair was done in under the time and cost of the estimate.

Like all businesses, they are challenged to keep everyone fully utilized. But they seem to lack a handoff communication for longer projects as there was generally new folks each visit who were not fully briefed on their task. I found that my wife and myself had to do that.

This is not the end of the story! I used Quarter Moon the year before to replace a smaller unit and my experience was so good, I trusted their expertise. When I went back to the other company they refused to help me. Not knowing what I was talking about and feeling discouraged, I contacted Quarter Moon (Rick) and asked for help. He and Troy made a phone call to the other company, explained everything for me (it's a language all of it's own!), and got them to agree to replace the compressor. They know their business, they know the industry, and they do not cut corners with after-market parts or shotty labor. Quarter Moon has my loyalty and business for life. After this experience I cannot imagine trusting anyone else. As a matter of fact, I am calling them today to come out and check the work of the other company. It's worth it!

Our AC had been out for 6 days and my pregnant wife and toddlers were suffering. We were negotiating, slowly, with our home warranty company to replace the compressor. We gave up on using the warranty and decided to pay out of pocket. Meanwhile, we had Quarter Moon out to do some plumbing work. The plumbers told us Quarter Moon was now doing AC work. Quarter Moon are our plumbers of choice so we gave them a chance with AC work. Rick came out 1 hour after I called him yesterday and did the estimate! We also had our usual AC company come out for an estimate last night. Quarter Moon was MUCH lower than the competing company. The competitor was a little more polished with their sales presentation but we chose Quarter Moon for the price, because I liked Rick, and because I have always had good service from them. Once I even called them for an electrician referral and they helped me out. Troy and his team came out in the early afternoon today and had the system completely installed about 8pm. Everyone was polite and neat. My little girls even watched them from a distance. They put down drop clothes and were careful. The final install is very neat and clean. The system is very quiet and, hopefully, will save money on our electric bill. Fortunately our warranty company has since decided to cut us a check to cover some of the bill. I'll update this post if anything happens but so far I am VERY pleased with everything.

They had already come out to estimate the job so we knew what we were getting into. The plumbers arrived on time, professionally introduced themselves, were pleasant with my wife, did what appears to be a nice job, and cleaned up nicely. There was a small misunderstanding with the price and they basically split the difference with us! Here's the bottom line: I'm completely comfortable with Quarter Moon sending strangers into my home while I'm at work. I don't worry about my pregnant wife or young kids. This is our second repair with them and both have been done to my standards - a picky do-it-yourselfer who finally has enough money to pay someone else!

I have used them in the past for a number of years. They were there on time and did a great job and everything is working well. They originally quoted a little higher but it came in under. Everything went well and we are happy with the work. We will continue to use Quarter Moon Plumbing.

I use them all the time and they are very good. They are doing a major project by repairing several cracks in the main line pipe by using a camera underneath my house. They are wonderful people so it makes it a little easier; they were cheaper than other people that did a scan for us. The plumbers that come out come out with their own personal business cards with their names on it and they come out in well-marked company cars. They do good quality work and are quick at what they do. I will use them again in the future.

I'm glad I knew Dario. I'm not sure why the office never phoned me to schedule anything, but if I have another plumbing problem, I will contact him or ask that he be the person sent to rectify the situation.

Two men arrived on time and determined what the cause was, and the plumber said he would either have to tear up the tile around the toilet or rip out a portion of our ceiling to get to the problem. I agreed to let them go through my living room ceiling. He also told me that they would not repair the sheet-rock. He cut the hole in the ceiling and tried to figure out what was needed, how to get to it, and how to replace it. He said that he needed a part that wasn't in his truck, and Home Depot didn't carry the part, but he found a store downtown that carried it. He explained that I would have to pay for the time it took to travel there and back with an estimated time of 45 minutes. It was late in the day, and I told him to get the part and come back the next day. He said he was off that day, but they would send someone else first thing in the morning. They had been there for 2 hours. Two other men arrived the next day at 9:30AM, and went straight to work. This plumber determined what part was needed within 20 minutes. He also said that he had a tool to do the job that the first plumber did not have. He did take the time to look up the hole in the ceiling, but didn't say anything. They performed all of the work in the upstairs bathroom, without ripping any tile out. Nothing was done from the downstairs hole. He and his helper had the job done in 3.5 hours. I just got a bid to repair the sheet-rock for $90 without painting it. So, I spent $180 in labor for two guys to remove the toilet, cut a hole in my living room ceiling, and try to figure out how to fix it. Then I paid $346 in labor for a plumber and his helper to return to my house and fix my leak. As far as I'm concerned I spent $270 too much. I will continue to use Quarter Moon, but now I won't trust them as much. What a shame.

Quarter Moon Plumbing was recommended to me by another vendor. I called them on Friday and they were able to come the same day to repair the leak. Todd was very professional and did a very good job locating and repairing the leak. He had to cut through the sheet-rock to expose the drain. He was efficient and cleaned up after the repair. I will call Quarter Moon Plumbing for any future plumbing needs that I may have.

We called Quarter Moon and they lived up to their commercials. The technician arrived promptly, did the work quickly, was friendly, and explained ways I could save money moving forward. All around it was an excellent experience.

Called and had a team scheduled promptly to come determine what was causing damp spot in the dry wall in an area backing up to my master bath. The guys showed up right on time, got right to work and found the problem pretty darn quickly. Turns out the idiot builder did a poor job of joining two sections of pipe (surprise, surprise!). The initial team took about an hour to find the issue and did an excellent job of explaining what and why they were doing, unfortunately they did not have the proper fittings on their truck to effect an immediate repair. I still give them an A because both were extremely apologetic and, well darn nice to my inquisitive four year old. The initial team handled and scheduled a dispatch for first thing the following morning.Second dispatch went just as well as the first, right on time and right to work. Fixed in an hour and cleaned up well after their job

The crew, Larry (over 20 years with the company) and Brian showed up on the weekend as soon as they finished with another customer. They quickly found the source of the leak and isolated it, which required determining the correct locations to open the walls to find the leak, and to access the primary manifold in a wall near the hot water heater to cut the line and cap it. They returned on another day to install a new hot water supply line to the lavatory sinks (through the attic), as well as a new drain and expansion tank for the hot water heater, and a pressure reducing valve on the incoming main supply line. The new drain line for the hot water heater was not part of the estimate, but they installed it (through brick to the exterior) without additional cost anyways since it was needed. All of the work took approximately 8 hours, and the cost included the city permit which they obtained prior to the follow-up work. I was impressed with their diligence, hard work, and professionism, as well as the quality of their work. They readily answered any questions and were very polite.

The price was fair. It was an appropriate amount. They were exceptionally professional. They made sure that every step of the way we knew what they were going to do and after they did it they told us what they had done. I would highly recommend them. I thought they were fair and honest. They did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves. We thought they were exceptional. The price was fine; we didn't have a problem with that. We would definitely use their services again in the future.

They replaced the commode and install a particular shower head for me. They also do heating and air. They have replaced my entire sewer line as well. Their pricing is reasonable. They have the latest equipment. I have referred them to many many people. They are very honest.
