After less than one year, we noticed a rough whitish surface showing the concrete, which was mostly throughout the center of the floor. I sent Dennis 3 photos of the surface, asking him Is this normal? After receiving no response in 2 weeks, I called and left messages. He did finally respond and came over to view the problem. After at first saying it was efflorescence because of the location of the problem, he changed his mind, saying it was entirely the fault of the cleaner I was using. He completely denied it was his fault and gave us a quote to fix for $8500, which would have entailed doing exactly the same procedure as the original with no moisture barrier added. After complaining he reduced price to $5600, with still no changes from the original staining. Upon getting a second opinion from a concrete contractor working in our neighborhood, we were told it was definitely efflorescence and the wrong products were used, resulting in moisture permeating thru the floor. The entire center of the rooms have this rough white texture which is obvious since the original color put down was a very darkest brown, so the contrast is incredibly ugly and getting worse with time. Original Cost was budgeted into the build. To fix this mess, the neighborhood contractor said it would cost $14,000 and that is just to fix the worst parts, NOT all 3K sq. ft. We are very upset that Dennis denied any of this was HIS fault and blamed us, completely disconnecting himself from all blame. I want him to REIMBURSE US FOR THE CORRECTION OF HIS SHODDY WORK. This is totally unacceptable. His guarantee says WE STAND BY OUR WORK. It is obvious talk is cheap with Dennis.
Description of Work: We wanted a stained concrete floor in a new build. Approximately 3K sq ft. area. We moved into the house on October 20, 2014. He was recommended to us by the builder who had done some work with him in the past.

Description of Work: Terrible. They used a product they had never used before. We had a design cut into the stone work and instead of spray painting they used a brush and totally destroyed the design by filling most of it in. By the way they never told us they had no experience with this product and we were the first to use it.

Response from Precision Concrete Staining And Engraving
This work was done in May of 2013. Not sure why the customer has waited a year and a half to make this claim.......... We attempted to satisfy the customers requested finish. Just to clarify, we have applied this product (Concrete Restore) several times, but this was our first attempt to use it in an engraved design and we informed the customer it may not give the desired look but were told to proceed anyway. As with all our work, if the customer is not happy, there is no charge. We returned the customers check of $2300.00. They returned the check to us a second time for payment and then wait a year and a half to complain about our work? Please see this for what it is.... we have always stood behind our work.

Precision Concrete Staining and Engraving is the preferred concrete finish subcontractor of our custom home builder. Staining our front porch and back patio slabs was included in our construction contract, but we requested they also give us a bid to stain the concrete water storage tank next to our well house, which is visible from the back patio. The bid was "$300-400" since they would be there anyway to do the slabs. Their 3-man crew showed up on the morning of their appointment and did an excellent job staining all three pieces (porch, patio, and tank). We selected the stain color in advance, so they had all their supplies and equipment to do a complete job. We are very happy with the appearance of all three pieces. The water storage tank blends into the landscape, and the color and soft sheen of the patio and porch finish compliments the rock exterior of our new home. The only surprise was when the bill for staining the water tank came and it was $450. I paid the bill, but included a note with my unhappyness that they did not stay within the quoted price and I received a prompt response. Dennis Wagner of PCS&E wrote me a note appologizing for the misunderstanding on the pricing and included a refund of $50. Since most of the time the cost of features added to a custom home are higher than you'd like, it was a pleasant change to get the refund. I would definitely recommend this company for concrete staining.
Description of Work: Concrete Staining of a 2800 gal concrete water storage tank.
