Joe Prado and his crew do excellent work. They did an great job with demolition, installation and clean up. My counters are beautiful. I will definitely hire them again and would highly recommended them.

Although the job was very small, it was done swiftly, professionally, and with excellent quality. The owner (Joe Pado), the office staff (Lisa), and the fabricator (Antonio) were courteous and responsive. From the time I first contacted them to see if they would take the job to it's completion was less than 2 weeks. In a world where not many vendors are impressive, this one IS! You will not be sorry to work with this company!

Joe Prado really knows his stuff! He helped us pick out beautiful and quality quartzite stones for our countertops and was very patient during the process. He and his team were very professional and very detail oriented. I am so happy with my STUNNING countertops. Lisa was also very good at keeping in touch with me, which is something that I really appreciate, and it's not as common as I wish it was. Based on Angie's List reviews, I called Prado's Marble and Granite and spoke with Lisa Prado. She found out the specifics of our project and quickly scheduled Anthony to do the work - on a Saturday, no less. He arrived promptly and obviously, was knowledgeable, conscientious and professional. After careful measuring and assessment of the area, Anthony quickly but meticulously did the cut-out. While Lisa prepared me for the dust, since they had to work on previously installed granite, Anthony ensured everything was completely clean. In addition, he and my husband put the new induction cooktop in place and tried it out before leaving. Everything was as quoted and promised - or better. Finally, the extra touch . . . Lisa called today to confirm everything had gone well and we were satisfied (never requesting this review). It might seem minor, but I appreciate the excellent customer service - start to finish. I won't hesitate to use Prado's again and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone requiring stone work - either for installation and repair work.

We had a very good experience. They came when they said they were coming and did their work. Kept messy work outside. Did all the cutting outside. Cleaned up around their work area every time they left. We had heard so many horror stories we were very skeptical about choosing a company. But we chose several from Angie's list to interview and got estimate and we chose them.

Joe and his crew provided a great experience from beginning to end. He was quick to return my emails, calls and texts. He answered all my questions and found quick solutions and alternatives to any issues that came up. He is a true craftsman and his attention to detail is reflected in the quality the finished product. He handled all the coordination with his shop and the granite supplier. Picking out granite, matching the overall kitchen design and determining the correct cuts can be a difficult task. Joe made this entire process easy! The install was quick, and his crew kept our kitchen as clean as possible considering granite dust is flying around the room. Overall the end result was beautiful and we couldn't be happier with our kitchen and our experience with Prado's Marble And Granite.

Prado's Marble and Granite did a fantastic job. We have a lot of counter space and we really feel like we got great value for our money. Everyone we dealt with was very pleasant to work with and extremely knowledgeable, patient and polite. We picked granite with large veins and we were encouraged to go to the shop to preview the templates on the granite prior to cuts being made so that we would be happy with the placement of the large veins. The results were absolutely stunning! We are so happy with the finished product. Mr. Prado is very good at walking you through the process and his son, Anthony, is masterful at blending the seams so they are nearly impossible to find. Two slabs were used for our kitchen and we had one seam, but no one has been able to locate it without us pointing it out. We only point out the seam because we are so impressed with how well it was matched, we like to show off Anthony's work! Great care was also taken with the cutout for our cooktop and reinforcement of the bar areas. On the day of installation, Mr. Prado introduced me to every one by name. They were all cordial and took great pride in their work. We highly recommend Prado's Marble and Granite!

Anthony from Prado's marble and granite arrived at the time and date arranged. He explained and showed both my husband and I how he was going to fix the damaged areas. Anthony worked diligently and carefully for five hours ( 5x7 foot area) .We felt that Anthony paid attention to details, and he ensured that the cracks were filled and the scratches polished out. The countertop looks great now ! I was impressed that this company was willing to drive all the way from downtown San Antonio to New Braunfels to get the job done even though it was a small job for them. If I am ever going to have a new granite countertop installed, I will call Prado's marble an granite , because I can be sure that they have the expertise to provide service even after the installation is completed!

TMr. Prado performed the measurement and template process. The installers scheduled a noon installation but did not show up until 4pm as they were still performing fabrication work at the last minute. ] All pieces fit but ogee edge cuts were not smooth. Workers complained about not having higher end equipment to produce a smooth edge. They came back and took two pieces back to their shop and recut the ogee edge. It was slightly better but not what I expected for the price. If Prado did not have the tools to produce a clean cut ogee edge, they should have said so. Anthony offered me a cutting board for my troubles and promised to help with my backsplash but never showed up or called back.

Mr. Prado is very professional. He arrives in a "Prado" polo shirt clipboard in hand. The work gets done correctly as long as he's present. His worker, Anthony on the other hand seemed in a hurry that he left a door frame out, forgot to caulk, and cover holes with wood puffy, and didn't clean smudges left behind. Mr. Prado not only returned and fixed all the loose ends but he went a step further and painted small areas for continuity. He's also very intelligent informing me about this out there current administration and he made me a cutting board!

I had several contractors from Angie?s list come out and give me estimates for a new kitchen counter top installation. I had many good bids but I felt the best about Joe Prado. He had a way about him that I found trustworthy. That was the most important thing to me. His price was reasonable and I gave him the contract. I worked closely with him on the schedule, my cabinets were 8 weeks out and I would like to be without a kitchen for the least amount of time possible. I asked if they could fabricate the granite in two days so I could have the cabinets installed on Monday and be done by Friday. Since I was able to get on the calendar so far out, they were very willing to work with me on my schedule they pushed other jobs around to ensure they could hit my dates. Sheri in the office was very easy to work with and called me back quickly. We had some last minute schedule changes (due to the cabinets, not the granite) and they were very flexible to help ensure that I had the least downtime possible. We also had a few hiccups along the way. The granite yard delivered the wrong slabs of granite to Prado?s shop. When we arrived to check out the colors against out cabinet door samples they were the wrong slabs. Sheri was very helpful and got the Granite yard to fix the error and in no time we were good to go. I stayed very impressed with Joe Prado throughout the job. I spoke with him on the phone several times with question regarding what type of sink I should buy, and various other questions. He was always available and very helpful. His advice was extremely practical and I found it to be very valuable. It?s clear that he has been doing this for many years and knows his stuff. Prado?s did several things that other contractors would have either charged extra for or didn't offer at all. One example was rebore embedded in the slab were there were some chance of breaking, like around the sink which is much more narrow than the rest of the counter tops. This was done several places in my kitchen due to a fancy thin bar top that we have. Also Anthony did a great job matching the seams, he actually mixed up several different colors like an artist?s pallet and blended the seams where you can?t see them at all. These guys are true artists. I also liked that they were so practical, talking about how long to cut the counter top overhang so when liquid falls off the counter it doesn't hit the cabinets and stain them and how big to cut the sink hole so that food falls in the sink and not in the rim of the sink. Logistically, they were there when they said they would be, cleaned up when the left and were very good in my house. I was very happy with the job they did, the price, the quality of the work, and experienced nature of the employees? that Joe Prado hires. I would recommend them to anyone and I will use them again for my bathrooms shortly.

Anthony showed up on time and did an excellent job. He explained exactly what was needed and how he was going to repair it. He also checked our other under mounted sinks and saw that they were also installed without supports. He took time to go to Home Depot to get the wood he needed and then put supports on 3 more sinks. He then swept all the areas where he had worked.

The job was obviously too small for them, so they pawned me off on a subcontractor. He did it, got crap everywhere, and (even though he said he would put the sink in too--I didn't ask for it), didn't complete the job. He left his $50 level at my house and never bothered to event call to get it back.

Prado's was one of 4 estimates for the work. Price was in the middle, but I had the feeling that the less expensive ones were working out of their garages without proper equipment, etc. Joe came out to take measurements himself, provided quote, and his secretary, Sherry e-mailed the formal detailed quote. To save money on the demo, he suggested donating old countertops to Habitat for Humanity, who will come out and remove them for no charge. This was very helpful, since we did not know they accepted these items. (Also donated old sink, old cooktop, and window blinds). Granite was delivered to Prado's on 10/2, H for H removed counters on 10/3, and Joe came back to do the templates on 10/4. I was invited to the shop to approve the template layout on the granite before any cutting was done. I met with Anthony on 10/8, and it was obvious that he takes pride in his work. He showed me their state-of-the-art equipment and how they do the work. Impressive. Our slabs have great variation in the colors and the pattern. He was careful to match the pattern where seams would be, and consideration was given so that the most attractive areas of the granite pattern did not end up where the sink and cooktop cutouts would be. By that time, I had decided to add an island, (more about that later), so Anthony managed to rearrange a couple of pieces (window sills, desktop) to have enough to do the island without us having to purchase an additional slab. Very happy about that. Anthony showed me several choices for edge designs that were no extra charge. Nick and Aaron arrived on 10/10 to install everything. Very professional and knowledgeable crew. Joe came by at the end of the day to check everything. So after granite was delivered, fabrication and installation was completed within 1 week! About the island: We decided to build this ourselves using base cabinets. While Joe was here, he offered some suggestions about how to go about that, to make sure it would be sturdy, support the overhang for barstools, etc. Since it was taking us longer than expected, Sherry called a couple of times to check on our progress, offered suggestions, etc. They would not cut the final portion of the slab for the island top until it was constructed, so they waited patiently (and for their final payment for the job), while we got this done. Joe came back over today to take final measurements, insuring that the island top will be the right size. It will be installed friday. I will be hiring them do do our tile backsplash as well. I highly recommend Prado's Granite and Marble. Great staff and great work.
