Description of Work: The work was eventually completed, but it took many phone calls and really making a ton of effort for the window to be repaired. I had taken photos and given very specific information on the window before the appointment. He finally came out, from San Antonio and said he had no parts for this. It was a complete waste of his time and mine. He never looked at the email or photos that were sent prior to the appointment and the next time someone could come again would going to be another two weeks.

Description of Work: Replaced all windows (total 11) in the house with Pella Impervia model windows. They took out the old windows and discarded them. Actual date was May 21, 2010. I have been very happy with the windows ... have not had any issues with them.

Description of Work: I have some Pella doors that were in our house when we bought it recently so called Pella on Tuesday afternoon for a bid on replacing 12 windows. I was told that the person who could help me was with a customer and would call me back. By the end of the next day I had not received a callback. I called again on Thursday and talked to the same woman who I talked to on Tuesday. I explained to her that I had called to request someone to come bid on a window job but had not heard from anyone. She told me that I should talk directly to Nick, who could set that up for me and gave me his cell phone number. I called and got his voice mail and explained who I was, what I wanted and left a callback number. As of Friday evening I had not been contacted by him. At this point I would not even consider using Pella for my work.

+ -1 moreThey were very professional and they cleaned up after themselves. They got installed the windows in one day and did the finishing job in one day. It started raining the next day that they had installed. They had to paint the doors so it got delayed. The price was pretty competitive. They are customer oriented and not only the sales person but the whole company was in touch with us.

+ -1 moreTotally awesome. I can't even begin to describe the service and quality of the product. It is an amazing upgrade, and our salesman, Gabe, was very understanding of our repeated questions and concerns. I did shop around, and the Anderson Window company (Southwest Exteriors) was just too pushy and way too pricey--almost three times as much as the Pella windows. I did a lot of research, and Pella and Anderson were on top. The Anderson sales rep was just too pushy--wanting us to "sign now" on a $20k price. This was a complete turn-off, especially when the salesman told me that other companies just couldn't compare. I knew better since I had done significant research. Gabe, at Pella, on the other hand, was very patient--and while I researched, was understanding of the changes and questions. All in all, the U factor and other energy ratings were the same, but the seals on the Pella windows seem tighter. The install team was very professional. They cleaned up after themselves, and after two full days of install, you'd never know they were here. If you're looking to take advantage of upgrading your home and get the energy credits, this is the company!

+ -1 moreThe installation was sloppy. They had to come back 4 times because it was crooked on the frame. The problems were with the installation and not the product. Even after I finally gave up it is still crooked after they tried to fix. I would never use them again!! Even the framing on the outside doesn't match.

+ -1 moreThe process went smoothly for the most part. After an initial evaluation by a local company rep another employee came out to do an official survey before the windows where ordered. The 2 man crew that came out were great, cleaned up after themselves when possible and finished the job in about 5 hours without taking any apparent breaks. Issues: The windows were supposed to be installed the week prior but the windows had not been delivered to the warehouse. I did not find this out until waiting for the crew to arrive and then making phone calls. I then had to take an additional day off work the next week. When doing the survey the rep pointed out some plants that would have to be trimmed/removed so the crew could more easily access the windows. Unfortunately he and the second rep both missed the bushes outside the bathroom window which the crew had some trouble working around.
Description of Work: Replaced 3 bedroom windows and one bathroom widow. Removed old windows and also installed wood framing where sheetrock was weak.

Description of Work: Had company representative come to our house for what turned into a 2-hour measurement and sales pitch on a product we didn't even want. I had called before they came over and confirmed via phone that they carried a composite material window in the casement style- when the representative arrived, he said that their composite window was only available in double-hung or slider style, not casement (crank-arm window). We got a quote on wood windows with aluminum cladding on the outside for our entire home (18 windows) as well as two new doors. I know Pella has a good reputation, so we were inclined to go with them. However, the windows were not what we were looking for style-wise. Estimate was $30,000.

I would say the whole experience was made very simple by them and we were completely satisfied with the product and results.

They did everything we had asked them to do with the installation. The people who did the installation were very professional and seemed to be very knowledgeable. I have really enjoyed our new windows.
