In a word, horrible. Someone was sent to home in August 11, 2016 and as of September 25th, they have completely gone dark and won't respond to us. First the owner/manager (Fernando Arriaga) complained to us that the person who came to our house was too busy to follow-up with him to complete the design. Second, the "draft" design was crap and didn't have any of our design notes in it. And the "draft" took almost a month of us asking for it to get it completed. The owner even tried to get us to pay more for additional work saying the coupon was only for the first draft plan which wasn't even close to a plan. Following that, we gave him back very direct feedback including a "better draft" we created in Microsoft Paint in less than a day. The owner came to our house, reviewed our "better draft" and took some measurements outside stating he would have the plan back to us to review in less than a week. It's now been almost a three weeks later, and I can't get the owner to respond to any of my multiple emails. At this point, I just want my money back as I never received what I paid for. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!

Still waiting!!! Bought the service on 26 August, had to call them to get someone to come out. It took two weeks to get someone to perform the evaluation. It's been a month...and still waiting on the bid!! Unsat!

Outdoor Creations designed and built our backyard. Stunning designs. The project was completed at a reasonable price and delivered on time and perfectly. I have nothing but the best things to say. Never a problem and always responsive.

Had a pool put in by Outdoor Creations. Throughout the process Fernando did what he said he would do. Contractors showed up on time, everything was done in a timely manner, all permits were pulled, subs did their work and cleaned up after themselves, nothing was damaged (that i couldnt fix) and job was completed when they said it would be. I liked their pricing and how they show you how each item (water feature, seats, extra deck, extra pool edge, solar heater) costs. This was the second company that I got a price from. The first seemed to prettty much pull a price out of thin air. Outdoor Creations, shows you your completed pool with the help a computer program and then gives you a price with everything listed. They also guarantee most of their equipment for 7 years and some items for life (not sure what that means in dog years, but its nice to know) In the end, both companies were pretty much the same price, just felt more comfortable withOutdoor creations. The designer I worked with, Fernando, was very nice, friendly and helpful.

Hi All! I hired Fernando with Outdoor Creations to do an outdoor project which consisted of a 260 square foot deck, 200 square foot stone walkway and a bbq Grill. We were extremely pleased with his work. I had many concerns / issues for how the deck would be constructed, and the scope of the job consisted of much more than just building a deck (i.e. breaking up concrete, proper water drainage, dirt removal, etc.). Fernando handled those concerns very well, and really went above and beyond. The oklahoma flag stone walkway and built in Grill that matched ,that he did turned out really great too. When the project was finished, I had a couple issues come up that we noticed. Fernando came out after the project had ended and after we had already paid him to fix those couple items. He handled our concerns very professionally. Overall, Fernando offers many years of experience, with a strong attention to detail, and his bid was extremely competitive. I hope to hire him again for future projects and would absolutely recommend him.

Bought the deal but was so frustrated trying to reach them to propose a time to meet that I ended up just canceling. This is an update to my original review. Company contacted me after reading my harsh review and offered to make it good by doing the work at no cost. This is a good lesson in why you want to do reviews. I agreed and they did pretty much what I had been expecting in the first place, a conceptual drawing, very few details. Understand that they do this at a low cost so that they can get the work to build what you are looking for. Many companies will do this and much more for free. Because there was such a long delay, I have decided to go with another company.

I highly recommend The Outdoor creations for your paver projects. Fernando is the ultimate professional and his employees are artists when it comes to laying your pavers. Fernando and his employees are totally committed to making you happy as a customer, and they operate with an incredible level of integrity. We couldn't be happier with the way our paver project turned out.

I recently bought a new house in North San Antonio and when I asked around about landscaping recommendations I kept hearing about Outdoor Creations. Fernando the owner is extremely creative, helpful and professional. I got a couple other quotes prior to hearing about OC and no other company compared to the price, workmanship and quality that OC has to offer. Another thing that I was very impressed by was that he provides you with a 3-D digital drawn out image of what your actual project will look like prior to the start of production. Once the team started working my backyard it was completed in 2 weeks! I am beyond happy with the outcome of my new backyard and I can't thank Fernando enough for everything he has done to make visions reality.

They came and spent about 15 minutes here, did a drawing here and that’s it. I think the guy was in a rush when he got here, it was towards the end of the day. I think for 49 bucks that didn’t impress me. A couple days later he sent me drawings of what it might look like and an estimated price. I was going to supply the materials and he was just going to do work. I had all the materials already. What he did I could have done myself. He called me and told me he was going to be late.

There was a small delay on the project due to a previous job taking a little longer than expected to complete. However, once the job began, they were able to finish the entire job in one day, and I was able to enjoy my new space immediately.

The guy who was supposed to come over stood me up a could times. He never showed up or called. So when I called about the third time the new guy told me that the guy who was supposed to originally do it went on vacation and never notified me. Now he was not the primary so the primary of the company, Fernando, he never showed up. So the second guy showed up and apologized and he came over. Friendly guy, nothing to complain about, he walked around the yard and he pointed out a couple of things that he thought might be suggestions that would work. I didn't really like his suggestions so he said he was going to go back and sit with Fernando so that they could make a new plan so that we could figure out if we were going to go forward with the plan. And that was the last I heard from either one of them. Every time I call they just keep saying the plan is coming, the plan is coming but now it's just been too long and i've stopped believing them.

Loved working with Fernando and Ryan. They did complete redesign of our backyard and updated our courtyard and front of house too. Very easy to work with and completely professional- always on time and attentive to needs. As a result of the great work, we also signed up for an outdoor kitchen as we know the job will be done right.

Recently had our pool & spa and outdoor entertaining area completed by Outdoor Creations and we are extremely happy with the finished product. Their crews worked very efficiently and professionally. We started the pool the first week of April and it was filled with water by the end of June. Get your pool built in the off-season for maximum efficiency! Fernando was our designer and we are thrilled with how the pool looks. Prices are reasonable. David was our superintendent and we really appreciate his responsiveness and oversight of our project. They did a great job coordinating the process and communicating with us. There was very little downtime and crews were scheduled very efficiently. We highly recommend Outdoor Creations!

The provider did not disclose that he only allowed for a single type of paver - the cheapest one available only. There was continuous up-selling and overcharging for items not expected, including delivery (which was included in the deal and being charged twice) and a clean up charge.

Well, the upside of this service is that the work looks very nice, the actual working time was quick and unobtrusive, and everyone we spoke with or corresponded with was very pleasant. The service representative who came out to discuss the project and draw a sketch for the workers was easy to work with and so there was no subsequent difficulty on the side with getting what we asked for. This contractor seems to take a wide variety of larger landscaping jobs, so delay between seeing the service agent and actually seeing the work done was about three weeks. Some downsides were that the walk sank in a small area after two days, and so additional sand had to be added for support. This, however, is probably a normal adjustment in laying brick walks. We wish, too, that we had seen the actual bricks before they were laid, since they were not precisely what we had ordered, which was not precisely what the picture on Angie's list showed. Still, the outcome is quite handsome and admittedly, we should have supervised the work more closely. Overall, we are quite satisfied with the craftsmanship, courtesy, and professionalism of Mr. Arriaga and his crew.

We had prompt response to our initial request for a consultation. Planning was thorough and informative. Work was completed in a timeframe that was provided ahead of time. Final results exceeded our expectation. Very professional and responsive.

We hired Fernando to design and build our living space outdoors. From patio cover to bbq - and it turned out amazing. The project took about 4 weeks given the time of year. Fernando is professional, cares about his clients, and stands by his work. His outsourced partners also had the same level of care and concern for the client's happiness. As with all projects of this size, there were a few snags here and there - to be expected. What I appreciated was their ability to resolve those, be responsive (text/call/meeting), and make sure in the end everything was excellent. We met with a bunch of landscape design teams and we were very happy we went with Outdoor Creations! Pricing was also transparent and itemized - very nice to have when sticking to a budget. He was helpful in managing costs and getting us what was needed for the HOAs.

It was a waste of money. We were supposed to get an outdoor consultation on how to build a patio. What he basically did was he marked up the area where we wanted to put the patio on and basically put the patio on there. He came in a timely manner. He could have given me some options about what we could have. What I thought I was getting was a consultation. He simple did what we knew already. We put the patio in the area designated and that was all he showed us in the drawing. There was no landscaping. He was very responsive. He showed up in a timely manner. He was professional.

Wonderful customer service!! I purchased a pool and spa from them about 2 months ago and received nothing but the most attentive service. The dedication and passion that Fernando had for designing my pool was impeccable. Fernando made himself available to answer my questions. I even had to leave town one week when the pool plaster needed daily watering and Fernando personally came over each day I was gone and watered the plaster! If you're looking for a pool & spa builder, look no further- Outdoor Creations is as good as it gets!

What a great experience I had from a very good group of dedicated individuals. Completely surpassed any expectation I had for making my backyard look like paradise. From the initial design consultation with Fernando to the final end result I must say there work speaks for itself. I had gotten a few bids to redo my landscape in my backyard and nobody seemed to have the professionalism you would expect when spending thousands of dollars on your backyard. Most guys I had received an estimate from looked almost homeless looking or didn't have the courtesy to arrive on time. Outdoor Creations takes professionalism to a whole other level and it's the details that matter. For example, they made sure to plant my fruit trees just deep enough where the roots can still breath. I didn't know this was important, but after doing my own extensive research it's no reason why they've been in business so long. The last company who designed my backyard is no longer in business. Bravo guys, highly recommend!
