Old Fashion Handyman

They didn't cost to much. We were very pleased. They did a very good job. I really trust the electrician. I will use them if I have anything else to get done.

Had called three contractors for bids. The first guy didn't show for his appt. and did not call or return my call. The next two showed up on time and gave virtually the same bid, but this outfit could come earlier. They were here the next week with two people. I was amazed that the two of them were able to replace those large 4x4's within a few minutes. Impressive. They worked for most of the day and then cleaned up and did the power washing and were out of here by 5. They were on time, friendly, competent, and I am ready to use them again.

Did a great job toilet still unbalanced after intall we called him back and fixed right away

Wanted to have cracks in drywall repaired, called, got answering machine, left message and received no return call.

I have used him a few times. Everything turned very well as it always does.

He was punctual, curteous, did good work and charged a fair price. However, he smokes cigarettes, and anyone who may be sensitive to the smell of cigarette smoke does not want him in their home. He left a trail of smoke smell wherever he went, and even smoked one while taking a break outside our house. He did take the butt with him, which was the only good thing about his smoking.

Again, the handyman never called us back. Services were not performed.

Handyman was very puctual. He brought all materials needed to finish the job. It had been a pretty windy couple of days; so, his work was constantly interupted. It actually took a few days longer to complete. In the end, my fence looks great. I live on the corner. So, i got a lot of complements aout the work.

Showed up on time, completed work quickly and satisfactorily.

Mr. Perkis arrived on time and surveyed the area on the roof of the addition in question. Mr. Perkis took pictures of the damaged area with his phone to show my Mother-in-law the problem and explained that caulking would solve the problem. After the explanation and receiving approval from my Mother-In-law Mr. Perkis proceeded with the repair. As Mr. Perkis was preparing to leave my Mother-in-law noticed the front door of her home was sticking and asked Mr. Perkis if he could take a look at it. Mr. Perkis adjusted the door so it wouldn't stick. My Mother-In-Law was very pleased with Mr. Perkis from Old Fashion Handyman service and would gladly use them again.

Arrived on time, completed work quickly and professionally. Quality work all around.

He closed in an area from my roof and made a porch. He was a god guy.

I was just going through the list and he was fairly close. He had a lot of good comments about his reasonable price and him being very professional. Therefore I decided to call him. The quote was fine and he did a good job. It took me two phone calls to get him out here. He was professional. I would consider using his services again in the future.

I'd used them in the past. I found them through Angie's List the first time. The guy was on time. His price is very reasonable. He does good work. He's very professional and very good. I would use him again in the future.

On 15 Mar 10, I contacted Rick Perkis to see about tearing out an old deck and building a new one. He came and took measurements and called back with an estimate on 17 Mar 2010 ($1,615.00). He said he could do the work on 24 Mar. I accepted the estimate and gave him the go ahead. On 22 Mar he called and wanted some financial help before he commenced with the work. I refused as I have been burned before. He called later that day to see if I could at least pay for the lumber. At this point I told him to forget the whole thing. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME i HAVE SUBMITTED THIS REPORT. tHE FIRST BEING 27 MAR 10. I subsequently contracted with "Quality Custom Decks" (7 Apr 10) to do the job. I was very pleased with their work but it took quite awhile to get started.

I found the company "Old Fashioned Handyman" on Angie's list, and gave him a call asking him to come out and take a look at the situation to see if he could fix it. He did come out, and said he could roof the area in for me. (It forms a kind of porch at the front door). He and a helper came back on the day agreed upon - got a lot of work done, then came back the next day to finish up and paint. He matched the roofing material very well, sealed it against leakage, then painted it to match the house. He and his helper did a good job, and were very pleasant and easy to work with.

. They did excellent job. The only thing they could have done better is to clean up a little bit better. I always used the vacuum cleaner to pick up the dry wall stuff that comes out. The workmanship was good. They did a good job. They did everything the way we wanted it. My neighbour wanted him to come in and do some work for him and they might give him another job. Some of the tar boards that builder put up had come loose. So they refitted the tar boards, also put a glass board on the outside of our sunken tub where the shower is. Then my husband had him put up some gadgets. When it rains he can look at this little gadget and find out how much of rain has gone and also registers the temperature outside. I had a local company come and do minor things for me and he was quite a bit more expensive. I will have several other jobs for him to do.

Richard was able to do the work a few days after my telephone contact. He is professional, polite and knows what he is doing. His hourly rate is quite reasonable. He will be returning next week to complete another list of small jobs. I highly recommend him.

Rick did not call Friday afternoon so I called his number. I got a recording that he wasn't available. I never heard from him at all.

The experience was good. Their price was reasonable. They were a little slow in responding, but overall, I'm happy with their services.

He completed the task easily and quickly and he went beyond in trying to troubleshoot our problem. He was personable and knowledgable. Very Satisfied.

I liked him a lot better than another handyman company that I used. He did what he said he would do. I was thrilled with the price. He was punctual and reasonable. I just liked his overall work ethic.

I would definitely recommend him! He was prompt to call AND he didn't require any downpayment until we were completely satisfied with his work! Imagine that? He completed the job in 3 days and did a fantastic job! My bedroom was painted a dark blue (almost black) and now its a pastel color with no left over dark color! He even moved my heavy bedroom furniture. The kitchen looks like new. He called me to make sure that I wanted certain things done before he did it. He even let my dogs out when they went to the door. Now how's that for a job well done? Now I'm looking around my house for more jobs to get done...Hire him! He is honest, trustworthy and a fantastic handyman. I must add also he had a helper with him that was so very good also.
