Macario Brother's Lawn Care

They did very well. We were really pleased. They were really easy to talk to. They followed directions. They came the night before and I didn't have to be out there telling them what to do. At the end of the day, they walked around again to make sure that everything was okay. They were reasonable. I was really pleased with them. I'm going to use them in the spring.

He contacted me right away. Great communication. The job was done 100% to my satisfaction. and quickly, 24 hours from first contact.

The work was done very well and Doug was extremely responsive on his timing around providing a quote and showing up to complete the work at scheduled time (even on Christmas Eve!). Was very please overall, will use again in the future.

It was the best service for leaf pickup I've ever had done at my house! The grounds where pristine and that's saying a lot for cleaning up after 30 trees on a 1/4 acre lot.

Let me start out by saying that the gentleman and the helpers from Macario Brothers were very nice and polite. A couple of days before the work was to be performed, the owner came to see and record what I wanted to have done. He was a Macario brother. He typed my information into his cell phone. On the morning the work was to be done, this same gentleman arrived with two other men who were not Macario brothers and said another man would come later. They sent 3 men to do two hours work each. They started working and the other man came later. Because I am not able to walk on the grass in my yard I couldn't go around my yard to check their work. I had a friend come later to give me a review of the work done. He said that when they cut shrubs and trees that they cut them and left them right where they cut them. He reported that all they did in the beds was to pick up twigs. I had asked them to lightly use the blower on the beds. After the owner dropped them off at my house I called him back to remind him that they needed a blower to clean the beds and that they could use my power washer, he stated they didn't do power washing. When he came the first time he handed me a flyer that had the jobs they did and power washing was on the list. They he said they didn't have time to power wash the flagstone. I didn't find them to be knowledgeable; in fact it appeared like they had no experience with yardwork. I suspect the Macario Brothers were on another job and these gentlemen were subs. They also charged me $80.00 to haul off what they cut and just added it to the brush that was already in the trailer when they arrived. Again, they were all very nice and very courteous.

After a shout out for help on Angie's list I received a call from the Macario Brothers lawn service. They promptly came out and gave me an estimate for mowing my front yard. I found them so courteous I ask them for an estimate for my back yard. Both estimates were very reasonable I hired them for both jobs. They promptly did both jobs and they will remain my yard service specialists. They are very professional and they get the job done.

Douglas Macarion came out and gave me a bid to cut a portion of the tree (right below the rotten part of the tree stump). After he looked at the tree we agreed upon $750 to cut the tree and an additional $100 to pull weeds in my flower beds. When the showed up to cut the tree on Monday morning he told me they were concerned about the limbs hitting the neighbors roof so they wanted to rent a "cherry picker" to trim the limbs over the neighbors roof, which would be an additional $360. I agreed to the cherry picker and said it would be safer for the workers as well. When I went outside to tell them to go ahead and rent the cherry picker Douglas told me he "under bid" the job. I told him that we had an agreement on the $750 (plus now the cherry picker for $360). He said he was sorry but he would have to charge me $1,800 to cut down the tree that it is to much work for the $750 that we agreed upon when he came out to give me the estimate. I told him we had a deal and I was sorry that he "under bid" the job but we had already agreed on a price. He said he would not do it for that amount. I think this company "low bids" the job to get it then they double or triple the price once they come out to do the work.

It was very good. I tried to talk them into doing it on a rotating basis and they basically said they don't have enough staff. They were fine.

I give this company an F for not contacting me and will be asking for my money back. What a scam!!!!!!!!! I am not buying anymore Angie list offers.

Great! We purchased for $199 -- 6 hours of lawn or landscape work. They came prepared to work...they got right on it and worked hard, asking along the way for us to check their work. My shrub hedge along our back house (above the roof) they were careful but cut it back and we are so pleased with the results.

A few days after I purchased the Big Deal, I heard from the company asking what we needed done and telling me that we needed to pay them an extra $50 for gas since we are so far from them. After talking to Angie's List, I confirmed that there should be no extra gas charge if they are marketing themselves as available in my area. After reading other reviews that it was difficult to get them to come do the work after the deal was bought, I decided it was not worth it to haggle over $50 with them if the work may not get done anyway.

Because I didn't make use of their services due to a high estimate, I think that in the future I would get an estimate before I purchase any coupons online.

Purchased a promotion for six hours of lawn work and landscaping. Three days after purchasing the promotion, I had not been contacted by the provider. I took another three days for the provider to look at the scope of the work. He told me could do the work "sometime in the middle of next week." Eight days later the job was rescheduled due to weather (understandable) for the next day. I then received a text stating that the job could not be done that day because the provider was "behind schedule and understaffed." We were pushed back two more days. It has now been two weeks since we purchased the deal. I informed the provider to remove us from the schedule and we called in and immediately received a refund from Angie's List.

Great Job. Would absolutely use them, again.

I have never written a review for anything, but these guys are worth letting everyone know THEY ARE EXCELLENT! My yard was a hot mess. Overgrown and weeds, I wish I had of taken a before and after picture. I have a company that does my yard and they didn't come for 3 months without telling me. So I got on Angie's list and found these young men. What they did to my yard was amazing. I keep looking out there and smiling. They were finished in about 3-4 hrs. If you're thinking about hiring them, do it.

The Macario Brother's did an amazing job: 1) they gave an accurate estimate before the job, 2) they worked very hard (you definitely get your moneys worth per labor hour!), 3) removed non-indigenous plants and shrubs, 4) removed old mulch, 5) removed fallen leaves, 6) mowed and 7) installed over 5 cubic yards (over 6 tons) of gravel. In one afternoon they totally transformed our front yard. I have already received comments about how great a job it was and have recommended them to friends. Bottom line: for a fair price you get very hard workers who do a very professional job - you can't ask for anything more.

Macario arrived on time and him and his helper did a great job. I would highly recommend them and use them, again.

One word - WOW! These guys did a very thorough job picking up the leaves around my house. I have a variety of trees, many of which have small leaves that can be a pain to pick up. What Douglas and his crew did in just a few short hours would have taken me an entire day. I highly recommend this company and plan on using them again as long as prices remain competitive. I can't recommend the service provider highly enough. From the beginning to the end the provider was excellent. I ordered the service and received a response the same day. The next day three young men came out and performed all services quickly and most importantly excellently. Certainly exceeded my expectations. Thank you

Very young boys, hard working but not very much knowledge of landscaping. At times they tried to get away with taking short cuts as though a teenager would and then became defensive when confronted and somewhat argumentative, at one point they had forgotten to place the weed barrier before adding the river rocks, when I confronted them one of them stated "My Bad" but didn't offer to fix the problem. They also planted some plants for us but would try to dig inadequate holes, I had to stand there and watch them dig the holes.

What a nice young man. Three brothers came to my home this morning and they were very punctual and let me know they were on their way. I told them I needed some landscaping since we just moved in and the front is very bare. They looked up plants on-line and called the nurseries around my home so they could get an idea of what is available. I was very impressed with how eager they were to give me a quote on exactly what I wanted and learn about the plants. They even walked with me to a neighbors house to see a few of the plants I wanted. They did an excellent job mowing the front, blowing the leaves and edging everything. I hired them to do lawn care moving forward. Very nice, respectful young men.
