M & H Landscapes and Irrigation

I had a retaining wall fence and yard leveled so water would not come into the house. M & H did a fantastic job. Read some other reviews on them, but they were for 4or6 years ago. Don’t know if it’s the same company, but these guys were dedicated and proud of everything they did. My fence will not even come down in a hurricane or tornado. Carlos was great and answered one of my calls if you want someone who will get the job done call M&H landscape and irrigation company. They are the ones for you because they will not take advantage of you and your money.

Very professional company. The crew showed up on time, had the correct equipment to do the job, were efficient and did excellent work. We had them redo an old brick paver patio - they picked up the pavers, scrubbed each one by hand - redid the base replaced the bricks, added new and the result is fabulous.

Repaired my sprinklers and was very professional.

After years of struggling to maintain a green lawn in the hot South Texas summers we gave up and hired a landscape architect to design a total renovation of our landscape replacing all of the turf grass with native, drought tolerant plants. When it came time to choose a landscape contractor a neighbor recommended M&H Landscapes and Irrigation. Carlos gave us a reasonable bid for our ambitious project and was able to start work within a week. Their crew was on the job at 7:30 every morning and worked steadily until 5:00 each day. From demolition to hardscape installation to irrigation design to planting they were hard working and meticulous. The crews were well organized managing delivery of materials for each phase in a timely manner. They cleaned up the job site each evening before leaving. Carlos and his dad Moises made many excellent practical suggestions for design and installation modifications. They were flexible and accommodating throughout the entire project which took about three weeks. Their many years of experience in the area of landscape and irrigation installation was critical in the spectacular end result. This project cost about 10% of the value of our house, but we feel that the money was well spent. We spend hours every day enjoying the park like setting that we now call our home. Every day people walking through the neighborhood stop to admire the scene. We are thrilled with the results.

I am so happy with the job! Juan Carlos met me immediately for the bid. Gave me a very fair price and he and his crew were there promptly at 7:30 am when he said he d be to do the work.. He was so conscientious about every step of the job, ie.,measurements, clean up, techniques, and even suggested a drainage solution Even tho it was not on my architects plan. I usually am pretty bad about micromanaging jobs like this but quickly realized he had it all under control, and actually taught me a few things. I will use him for another job coming up soon. I just hope he s not too busy.

I can't say enough about Juan Carlos and his crew. Juan Carlos is always on time. If you've been getting estimates, you know how rare that quality is in a contractor if they even show up. He is courteous and knowledgable. I thought I knew what I wanted, but he explained how and why that wouldn't work in my yard and gave me alternatives that would not only compliment the color scheme of my house, but design scheme. The crew was polite, punctual, efficient, and left my yard cleaner than when they got there. Their work is unparalleled. Top-notch quality. I have already signed up for lawn care and more landscaping. Thank you, M&H, you created beauty in my yard and the process was a breeze.

Update-6/10/19: After more than a month of repeated requests, apparently Juan Carlos is so busy he's yet to have his irrigator come back and adjust the system to not turn on when it rains. The Rain Bird tech(maker of the equipment) felt it maybe a faulty sensor or not paired correctly. We also have a few plants that are not doing too well that may also be irrigation related. These little customer service tweaks after the work is key to customer satisfaction and value of ones gurantee. Juan Carlos advises they have a 1 year guarantee on their work, irrigation and landscaping. We did a fairly complete landscape home remodel of the front, side and back yards for plants, trees, sloping for water drainage, sod, concrete driveway repair, new flagstone front walkway, sidewalk and entry steps, cedar-entry post and railing, irrigation, and lighting. They had the manpower and equipment to complete it in 3 weeks. Their lead supervisor --Rocky, knowledgable in most all trades, was the key to making it all happen and then some! They were on the job at 7:30 am till 5 pm and cleaned up every day. Bravo!

They are dependable, they came when they said they would, they didn't mess around, they spoke with us about the work and started the work. They did the work and cleaned up after themselves and left the lawn looking as good as it did before they started the work.

I had a walkway install. It is absolutely beautiful. They were professional and efficient. Would use them again. I highly recommend.

This company did a great job with finishing out my backyard. They laid an extensive amount of sod as well is roughly 1,000 sf of flat rock walkway. I had an existing walkway from years ago and they were able to match that exactly. I was completely impressed with the size of their crew and the quickness that the project was completed. They had great communication throughout the project, letting me know when deliveries were coming, what time they would be there, the schedule. We ran into a little trouble with weather, but that’s obviously something they cannot control. Will use them again when redoing my front yard.

Hardworking crew was polite and professional. Juan Carlos kept us informed of the progress and when the work was completed, he made sure we were happy with the work. We look forward to hiring this company for phase two.

The M&H Landscaping crew did a great job installing French drains around my home. The workmanship and quality seems to be spot on for this type of work. They were also very easy to work with as I tried to hone in on what exactly I needed. As soon as the the weather cooperated, they were on the job site and knocked it out quickly. They cleaned up after the work was complete as well. I would definitely recommend giving them a call if you a project in mind.

This is a very professional team that prides themselves in high quality work. From getting an estimate, to installation of an irrigation system, and also tree planting - it only took a few days. It’s rare to find someone who can work so quickly, and at such a high level of precision. I would definitely hire them again for a future project.
