When we awoke on 1/25 after the big overnight rain we found some lights out. Investigated and found one circuit breaker was tripped and stayed tripped when reset. After doing some personal checks for obvious things I gave up and called M and K. The lady who answered the phone took down the details of our problem and said she couldn't give us a firm schedule, but that someone was working in our area. After about two hours a man called from M and K and asked if we would be home in the next hour or so. I said yes and about 15 minute later a man rang the doorbell and introduced himself as Mike. He proceeded to do a very logical process of elimination and traced the short to an outdoor receptacle that was full of water because its cover was not shutting properly. He found that the GFI receptacle inside was corroded. Also, he found that the cover for the receptacle was stuck so that it would not close properly. Since he had come from another job, he didn't have a replacement GFI receptacle, but he called another man from his company and told him what was needed. He asked them to come over when they finished their current job and fix our problem. This was to include drilling a hole in the bottom of the outside box so water would drain out if it got in. I took the bad box cover over to Home Depot and got a new replacement and came back to the house. After a short while, two other men from M and K showed up. They drilled the requested hole, then installed the new GFI receptacle and the box cover that I had brought. They also suggested that I get silicone caulk and run it around the seam on the outside box to help keep water out, because the gaskets deteriorate over time. They also answered some other questions about possible wiring issues. So, about seven hours after we discovered the problem, everything was fixed to our complete satisfaction. All three men who participated in this were completely courteous and professional in their conduct. They all seemed to know just what they were doing.

They did just fine. They started with adding 120 v outlet to the patio. They were able to place them wher I wanted and bring a switch into the inside. They then went to the meter pole and ran service to a shop building.

I spent $110 on that work. They were great. They came, gave an estimate and the actual price was lower than the estimate.

Excellent service: electrician arrived promptly, worked quickly and efficiently, consulted with us as appropriate, and was careful of our floors and furniture. Work was originally scheduled for a P.M. arrival. After closer questioning by supervisor, appointment was changed to an A.M. slot. Much better!

The job went very smoothly. Smoot's estimate was a good bit lower than a competitor (also chosen from Angie's List) but I believe we got high-quality work. The electrician, Alfrid, was easy to work with and knowledgeable. It took a little longer than expected but that wasn't a problem.

The work went smoothly, although I ended up disappointed with both the work and with myself. After he left, I looked over the installation manual that came with the fans. The manual states clearly that for safety reasons the fans should be mounted with two long wood screws driven into the wood structure of the house. The installer did not do this, he simply screwed the fans into the plastic electrical box. Perhaps this is standard practice with all installers. Perhaps the fan manufacturer is simply overcautious so as to avoid lawsuits. I don't know. I do now I wish I had read the manual before he came and I wish I had insisted that he use the wood screws. He also failed to balance the fans until I specifically requested it.

THEY ARE A VERY FRIENDLY STAFF. THEY MAKE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE. THEY ARE THE GREATEST COMPANY. THEY SHOW THE CUSTOMERS THAT THEY ARE THEIR PRIORITY. THEY SHOW CONCERN. THE INSTALLATION AND SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT.
