Lone Star Tile & Grout Cleaning

This was an extremely pleasant experience. Mark did a wonderful job. He actually had to regrout the island in our kitchen because of a horrible job done by a previous contractor which had been left unfinished. He was punctual - he showed up when he said he would and completed the work when he said he would. We were extremely pleased with his professionalism and the work he did. Everything went as planned and the kitchen countertops look just like new! We are planning on having Mark come out and clean our floor tile in the near future. Everything went as promised, and they were very punctual and professional. Their estimate over the phone was very close to when they showed up (actually cheaper than over the phone). They called the day of service to confirm when they would be coming, and were highly professional while in our home. I highly recommend for your tile and grout needs.

A demo area was done to show the results before the job was started. The results were EXCELLENT! White floor tile and grout is 18 yrs old and it looks great! I can recommend Lone Star whole-heartedly!

I spoke with Mark on the phone and explained that my elderly mother was moving into a house with approx. 600sf of tile that looked like it'd never been cleaned in the 10 years of the house's existance. I couldn't tell what color the grout was supposed to be because of the immense built-up grime. Mark gave me a ball-park estimate on the phone, which I was happy with, and made an appointment for the cleaning. Mark and Jeff showed up exactly when they promised and gave me a demonstration so I was able to determine if I wanted to continue with their services. The results were amazing....the grout line was a haystack color. They continued with the rest of the house and even did some color repair as a courtesy. This was necessary because it was determined that the original grout line color was in fact a dark grey, and at some point the previous owners had chosen to stain the grout the haystack color. Mark and Jeff had the necessary supplies in their truck to quickly match and color the grout that had discolored with the fading of the stain. One thing I also noticed in their process was that they take the time to clean the quarter-round along the baseboards to ensure they and nice and clean, as well as the grout and tile clear up to it. The entire process didn't take as long as I had anticipated, even though they took their time to inspect and study the grout before and after their work. They were careful to clean up and not leave any evidence they had been there, other than amazingly clean tiles and grout!

The company representatives were super nice, and did an awesome job. We would definitely use them again.

We were not happy with their work at all. We are trying to decide if we are going to have them back again to fix the work or hire someone else to do.

Everything was done in a professional and expeditious manner. The grout looks great!

Mark Mullis, owner of Lonestar Tile and Grout Cleaning, did such an outstanding job for us over a year ago that he was the first person we contacted when we needed more work done. He sent Jeff (aka Mark?s ?son?) and we were so impressed with his work! He is a courteous, professional young man with whom we felt very comfortable to have working in our home. Jeff is extremely hard working ? and goes above and beyond in every area of his work. He cleaned our carpet, tile, and the grout in our tub ?even recaulking it! He focused on each stain until it was successfully removed. We also asked him to retouch some areas of our grout which had worn away. We were also impressed with the equipment Lonestar uses for carpet cleaning ? it cleans deeper and when they finish, their water extraction method is so thorough that we were able to enjoy walking on our carpet more quickly than expected.

Mark Mullis and his technician were unbelievable! We are putting our house on the market soon and thought it might be a good idea to have our tile/grout cleaned. When Mark arrived he took one look at my flooring and suggested that his work might not make that much of a difference (i.e the grout was not THAT dirty). He did a quick demo and left the decision to me. Turns out my grout wasn't as dirty as I thought! What was exceptional, though, was that his professional opinion actually lost him business - and he was super okay with that. He told me that, at the end of the day, he wants satisfied customers who feel they got what they paid for. So, even though I didn't need grout cleaning after all, I would 100% recommend him based on his honesty and professionalism. Great job, Mark!

The shower looks like new, and they were very professional. They arrived when they said they would, and finished in a timely manner. I would use this company again.

Their price was more than I wanted to spend. They were rated highly on Angie's List. There was nothing bad about them. There estimate was just higher than I wanted to spend.

They haven?t done the work, but they are coming back either in January or February to do the work. They said that they would give me a better deal if I could wait and get the work done after the holidays.

The owner is extremely knowledgeable of the service he provides and he passes that knowledge on to the customer. He told us how to keep our floors looking good so he won't have to come out for another 5 years. Very personable and honest individual. Will definitely use him again. Oh....and you should never use a carpet cleaning service for tile and grout cleaning. Lone Star only does floors, hence, the equipment (yes, huge van with extremely expensive suction equipment got hooked up to the house) is better than if you use a carpet guy. Our grout used to be black but now it's white. I don't think it would have gotten that clean and would have stayed that clean if we had gone with the less expensive carpet guys.

Excellent. Along the way, I learned a great geology lesson as the owner tutored his apprentice. I would use this company again!

I had been considering doing this myself, but after talking to the owner, I thought perhaps they could get the tiles cleaner before applying new grout. AND THEY DID! The process they use includes pressure, steam, and two types of cleaner. The tile is so clean it puts the rest of my kitchen to shame. The man who did the work did a thorough and fine job. Just based on workmanship, I would call this company for any service.

The owner met with us within days of contacting them. He was very thorough in his assessment of our needs and addressed all our questions/concerns. The price he gave us was very reasonable with no hidden fees or other add-ons. The work was done on time and met all our expectations. The only other member of the company that we met was very professional, courteous and helpful. Overall we were very pleased with the company and the work they performed.

I called Mark and left him a message. His response came later that evening when we set up a time for him to come by and give me an estimate. He provided me with two estimates...one for high traffic areas only and the other for the entire tiled area. We scheduled a convenient time and he and Jeff arrived promptly. They began work quickly and never stopped until the job was complete. Because of the square footage, the job took the majority of the day but they worked quickly and efficiently. Instructions were given after the job was completed on how to maintain the floor and the tub/shower walls. Mark walked me through the rooms to make sure I was satisfied. He and Jeff then put back the furniture that my husband and I had moved out (small items such as chairs, end tables, etc.). We left the larger pieces in the rooms but they moved them carefully to clean each area before putting them back in place. All in all, a very good experience.

It went fantastically. I couldn't believe the difference. The Lone Star system is a quality process. We are extremely satisfied with the completed job.

I also received estimates for tile cleaning and grout touch-up in the two bathrooms and expect to use this company again for those jobs.

Mark was very knowledgeable, responsive and professional. One of his employees came to do the work. I thought that the new grout/caulk that he put in where the shower floor meets the walls looked too thick. I called Mark and he immediately said that he wanted me to be happy with the work and he scheduled a time to come back. He and another employee came back and re-did the grout/caulk so that it was not thick and blended in with the rest of the grout nicely. I appreciated that they came back so willingly.

The price was high but he seemed knowledgeable to do the service. He was also very responsive.

The service was very good. Everything was done on time, and the shower looks great.

They were on time, did a great job, and didn't chatter.

Mark was terrific! He called the day prior to confirm the appointment. Mark and his assistant arrived on time and worked very efficiently. They continued to update me on the progress of the job and explained their process in thorough detail. I would definitely recommend this company!

Response to my call for an estimate was prompt. Mark is very knowledgeable & willing to share what he knows! On the day of service, he cleaned a portion of the tile to make sure I would be happy with what was being done. I was very happy - it looked brand new again! Spencer did the shower tile & window & did an excellent job. He also did the sealing on the tile floors. There was one minor glitch about cleanup that I called Mark about afterward. Both he & Spencer offered to come out & take care of it, but I declined. I did, however, appreciate the fact they both offered. It shows they want to take whatever steps necessary to make the client happy. My husband also had some questions about the bathroom shower tile & Spencer came out and answered them to his satisfaction. Again - they are aiming for a very satisfied customer. This company also does carpet cleaning & Spencer measured and gave me an estimate for what I need done. I would certainly feel confident hiring them for that job as well.
