Lone Star Tile and Grout did an awesome job on my kitchen and dining room tile! After doing a lot of research and getting several estimates I felt that they were the most knowledgeable and well trained company out there. If you want fantastic results and great customer service then I highly recommend that you call Lone Star Tile and Grout!

They're all good. As a father and son, they seemed to work well together. They're took pride in their work. They did a pretty good job. They were very knowledgeable in cleaning up the tile. They did a pretty quickly and got out. They were good.

Re cleaning kitchen grout, I was very pleased they did a sample area because I could tell no difference after cleaning, so I didn't get it done. In fairness to them, I made a bad tile selection and chose tile that had sharp edges rather than beveled edges, so the grout is sunken below the surface of the tile. Not only is it hard to clean, it is a tripping hazard. Anyway, I'm not sure any grout cleaning method except possibly high-powered steam could have helped. Re the recaulking of shower joint lines (i.e., where wall meets the floor or two walls join)--I understood the owner to say they would remove the old grout and refill it with the sanded caulk. When the technician got there, he just applied the caulk right over the grout. I questioned him and was told leaving the old grout in gave the caulk something to stick to... ? I could have done that myself once I knew what material to use. Re sealing the shower grout, some areas appear sealed. However on areas of the floor and most of the lower walls where the moisture is worst, from the time they sealed it, the grout turned a dark color when bathing which tells me it is absorbing moisture and not properly sealed. I did not call them back because I wasn't impressed with what they did the first time and really didn't feel comfortable having them work it again--besides most probably they would have said that it took two coats and had me pay them for a second layer. I'll just do it myself, so it will get done right. I gave price a "C" because they didn't fully do what I paid them for. If the shower grout had actually been properly sealed, the price would have been reasonable (B).

He arrived on time and was very professional. He cleaned, dried and sealed the entire floor. He also gave me good advice on how to care for it. I was very satisfied with the outcome.

Mr. Mullis had good telephone contact returning calls promptly. This job was large and the grout was in really bad shape. We had just bought the house and wanted all the 10 years worth of smoke and nicotine residue and discoloration gone. Jeff came at the appointed hour, explained the process thoroughly, cleaned a test area to make sure we would be satisfied with the results, explained how surface cleaners react with the seal on the grout and how to maintain the floor for the longest amount of time. Jeff - and ultimately a second person in the afternoon as the job was large - did a very good job. They worked continuously and carefully. There are a few spots on the woodwork that have to be touched up with a dab of paint where the machine dinged it, but they did work carefully and neatly. The grout is 10 times lighter and much closer to the original color. We are very pleased with the results of the floor and extremely satisfied with the professionalism of the workers. We would definitely use Lone Star Tile and Grout cleaning in the future.

Did a great job on my bathroom floor but not so much on the shower. Some grout fell out shortly after the cleaning and after months of trying to get them to come back I fixed it myself today and will do the sealing on my own next weekend. I'm not convinced they sealed it the first time around because I have mold issues I never had before the cleaning when I kept it sealed myself. I think it just fell through the cracks because the job stretched over several visits but I'm frustrated I had trouble getting this resolved and ended up doing it myself.

Two day job stretched into 3 days because of the weather, but Jeff & Gonzo were persistent and got the job done well!

I was very happy with the initial service. After 4 months or so, however, I noticed that even using the provided cleaner, the grout was not really staying much cleaner than it was before it was sealed, especially in the kitchen. I emailed the business with my concern, and was promptly contacted the next morning by the owner himself, Mr. Mullis. He explained that he had gotten a few calls from the time period of my service call, and he believed that a batch of sealant was not quite up to par for some reason. He offered for his business to come back out to the house and reclean and reseal any areas I was not happy with. I agreed, and they did come to the house as scheduled. Several areas, notably the kitchen and dining area floors were recleaned and resealed. Again, I was happy and hopeful. Overall, though, my grout is still not maintaining its light color, despite using the provided cleaner. It is true that if you splash water on the grout, it does bead up a bit, as it is supposed to. However, this still does seem to totally protect the grout. Possibly the light color of my grout, coupled with kids running in and out of the kitchen all of the time, are no match for the sealant used by Lone Star Tile and Grout. Whatever was used in the tiled shower was a different kind of sealant, though, and is excellent and well worth it. The shower grout continues to look new and beautiful (same grout as on my floors). I even wish that I had sealed my other tiled shower enclosure. In the end, however, even though I believe that Lone Star Tile and Grout provides a good service, it is still not an excellent service if you have very high traffic areas.

He was punctual, charged exactly what he quoted, was done at the time he estimated. He helped speed the drying using powerful fans. He was neat, professional. I previously used Lone Star for carpet cleaning, as well as tile and grout cleaning, and have been totally satisfied with their work each time. Their are cheaper companies but they often low ball their estimates. I definitely recommend Lone Star Tile and Group Cleaning.

Exceptional. From the very first call to the company to the actual service being performed, everything was exactly as I would have preferred. Initially I was only calling Lone Star Tile & Grout for an estimate to compare with others I was going to request. My initial conversation with Lone Star Tile & Grout Owner, Mark Mullis, was great, his professionalism, accommodating nature, and genuine interest in my needs sold me on using his company for this service. His detailed overview of the services provided was awesome and his explanation of costs and his cost estimate were very reasonable and spot on. He even gives a discount for Angies List members. The actual service was performed as scheduled with no glitches. We have since moved into our new home and are enjoying living here without worry of damaging unsealed grout.

The grout in our shower looks fantastic! The tile looks brand new. I was very pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend this company. They are very professional and Jeff did an exceptional job!

Lone Star did an exceptional job. They made all the ceramic tile in my home look like I had installed new tiles throughout the house. Their caulking work was very neatly done. The company's (retired military owner) personnel are friendly, prompt, and professional at all times and all work has a 7 year guarantee which will transfer if the home is sold before warranty is up. At the end of work they will even furnish you with the ceramic cleaner to use on floors. The cleaner is provided free for as long as you have your flooring.

I got an accurate estimate over the phone. I was told over the phone that when the service man arrived he would measure the area and give an exact price. He would clean a small area to demonstrate the difference cleaning would make, and then I'd have the option to have him proceed or not. He would leave a small bottle of cleaning product, give cleaning/ maintenance instructions and leave a written copy of the instructions in both English and Spanish They called to confirm the appointment 2 days in advance. The service man, Jeff, arrived about 20 minutes early. He did everything promised exactly as described above. The floors came out great. I removed small items from the floor before Jeff arrived. He moved and then replaced all large items on the floor. He was very professional. The estimate and final price where right on target. The time frame to complete the job was also right on target. I would definitely use them again for tile and am thinking of having them clean our driveway and carpets in the future.

Lone Star was the only company who returend my call. The grout in the kitchen looks brand new. We were very pleased with the results of the cleaning. I would definately recommend this company.

Not well. Price was higher than estimate.

Mark came out on 2/6/13 and gave us a quote of $715 to clean and apply grout sealant to 3 small rooms' floors--total of less than 250 sq. feet. I thought $2.85 per sq. foot to clean and seal was a pretty high, but he seemed like a nice guy, was a fellow vet, so I gave him the business. When he came out to do the work, he and his assistant did a decent job; left some hazy residue on floor in child's bath, but I can probably get that up with a harsh chemical; mineral spirits did not remove it. I did ask him when they were out doing the work if he could come out in about a month to do the 3rd room, the laundry, since we would have lots of workers coming in and out of the house via that room in the ensuing month due to some kitchen remodeling prior to moving into our house. He said ok, and told me it would be an additional $95 for him to come out for that trip. I said that was fine and even wrote that amount down on the invoice right in front of him. I have the copy still which shows the $95 amount to return. So total would have been $797 for the 3 little rooms. I also pointed out he had written on the quote paperwork he would also seal the entire master bathroom floor, which was porous coolstone. He said, "Oh, yeah, I guess I did write that. Well, I'll do that when i come back to get your laundry room." I then said, "You also wrote on the quote sheet you would caulk underneath the baseboards in my daughter's bathroom (the other room in the quote)." He replied, "Well, none of your other bathrooms are caulked under the baseboards, so we decided not to do this one, either." I said, "I don't care about the other bathrooms, you wrote on the quote caulking in this bathroom was included in the price, and I would like it done." He said again, "Okay, we'll do that, too, when we come back." When we were ready to have the laundry room done, I contacted him and he said it would be another month before he "could get me on the schedule." I said fine, then, put me down. Later I emailed him asking if he would put me in for his 9a time slot--figured I would probably be able to since I was so far out on his bookings. BTW, time from initial quote ($715) to first $703 worth of work being done was only a week, so I did get the distinct feeling he wasn't anxious to come back out to do the laundry, but he had agreed to do so for $95 in writing. I had basically paid him the amount for all 3 rooms already, per the original quote. I got an email response from him saying he wouldn't come back for less than $250. What a crock. I highly recommend NO ONE use this company as they charge exhorbitant fees and do not keep their WRITTEN word.

Called for an estimate for tile replacement, decided not to use their services.

They called and said the time they would arrive. They arrived a few minutes early which was great. After looking at my request in the areas, they gave me an accurate estimate and started working. The time was also accurate as to when they would be finished. I am very pleased with the final result. I called to ask a question afterward and was called back immediately. I wasn't expecting a call until the next business day. They are very professional and the work is exceptional.

Jeff arrived at the appointed time and immediately went to work. He was very considerate about the security of my dogs - checking before he entered the back yard to be sure that they were in the house. He worked steady until the job was completed. Jeff is a very pleasant young man who represents this company extremely well.

I scheduled an appointment with Lone Star Tile and Grout to come out to my house and give me a demonstration and an estimate for cleaning the grout and tile throughout my house. Mark Mullis (owner) and Jeff came promptly, as scheduled, at 9 AM. Mark and Jeff looked around the house, measured the tile and gave me a final price to clean and seal the tile and grout. He included a 10% discount for being an Angie's List customer. Once we had a final price in hand, Mark demonstrated the equipment on a small high traffic area in the kitchen. The results were remarkable! We agreed that Mark would do the entire house and he and Jeff began the job. Mark and Jeff did an awesome job throughout the house. Their attention to detail and the care they took doing the job was noteworthy. The final result was incredible. Our tile was extremely clean again and the grout looked like new. We have tried a lot of methods to clean the tile and grout ourselves and the results obtained using Lone Star are in my opinion superb. I will hire Lone Star again to clean my carpet and to clean and seal my driveway in the near future. I give Lone Star Tile and Grout my highest recommendation! Hire these guys!

I had Lone Star come to my home to clean and repair the tile and grout in my bathroom shower. When Jeff arrived he let me know after inspecting my shower that I needed much more work on it than I had thought. He was very professional and took his time explaining my options on repairing my shower. It turned out that I needed a complete grout job and he gave me an estimate. He was very honest about telling me that I may be able to replace the shower for about the same price as it would take to repair it. He suggested I get some quotes on a whole new shower and then I would be able to make a more informed decision on what to do with my shower. I really appreciated his direct and honest estimate and his advice. The estimate fee was well worth the time and advice that Jeff left me with. I highly recommend Lone Star Tile and Grout Cleaning.
