Leslie's - San Antonio

Description of Work: I had a Pool Vac that was working properly, but couldn't figure out why it would not accept the customized settings.

Description of Work: I wrote a separate review for this same company this morning; it is still in Angie's Que for approval. I wanted to clarify and emphazie that my earlier review had to do with Leslie's Pool Service - NOT the local store I frequent. I have been going to the local store in leon Valley, Texas for many, many years. Have seen many staff & managers come and go. However, at least for the past three years [I think], the current manager, Mike Medrano, is who I am reviewing in this particular Angie's List review. Not my earlier review! Mr. Medrano, the Leon Vally Manager, has always been atttentive, professional, eager to please, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful to any questions I posed to him regarding our pool. His recent staff member, Becky, has also been extremely professional, helpful, and knowledegeable. Most recently, Becky spent much time trying to assist me with the details of my service call to 1-800-Leslies. My earlier Angie's List review of Leslie's Pool still stands regarding the very poor and unprofessional service representative and the 1-800.Leslies service team. They again sent out the same service technician today {Oscar] that they sent last year - who last year was to install a booster pump - and totally short-circuited my entire system; plus he was very late - not showing up during the prescribed four-hour window.. His response last year and today was "Hey, I don't know what I am doing" Today, he told me he did not know why he was there at my house - arrived 2.5 hours late; and told me that my pool water was too cold; advised me to buy a heater?? [San Antonio today we had 80+ degrees of weather] Today, I sent him away again. His supervisor, John 'something', is not customer-oriented. He does not follow up on inquiries or complaints. He blames the local Leslie store staff for any problems his service team encounter. To reiterate, the Leslie's Pool store in Leon Valley is managed extremely well by Mike. He should be credited for his very good customer service and knowledge. I will continue to use his store for my pool equipment needs, but not for Leslie's Pool Service team - they are extremely unknowledgeable, lack customer service, are argumentative, and never very punctional. It appears there is no appropriate supervision of the service technicians.

Description of Work: They supply us with pool things (skimmer baskets, testing equipment, etc).
