Every day I am thankful for that shower! Yes, it was expensive but so worth it. According to their guarantee, I will never, ever have to replace it which is why I went with this company. The start date was a month earlier than planned! How often does that happen? Whole thing was completed in 4 days. Amazing. Crew was great and professional, knew what they were doing. Not sure why I waited so long to have this done! The quality of materials is outstanding, no more grout, no more mildew or hard water stains. Custom, non slip base. Choice of colors for the vanity, walls and base were great. I was able to change my mind on a few things and the people at the showroom were incredibly accommodating. The owner, Tammy, called me several times to check in and see how things were going - great person to talk to. They really want you to get your money's worth. Thank you again, Angie's List!
Description of Work: Gutted existing shower. Replaced shower pan, pipes, walls, insulation, faucets. Also installed new vanity top/sink with quartz.

We experienced both pros and cons with this project. Cons: 1. There was an in-home consultation with a sales representative. He was very pleasant, but the presentation was quite lengthy - I believe around 3 hrs (to include looking at some samples). So, some of that was our fault for looking so long at samples. There was a PowerPoint presentation, which included way too much information about the company and the production process of the materials. I would have just preferred to see the samples and hear about the warranty. I did feel it was a bit of a "high pressure" sell. The prices are VERY high and they offer a discount for signing up at the time of the presentation. We were given a list of some previous customers and told that we could get a discount by calling and talking to them about their satisfaction with the product and the company. I actually had to call somebody right then, while the salesman was still there. At the high price, every dollar off counted, so we did feel pressure to decide right then and after the presentation... we were suffering from information overload and I felt stressed. That being said.... the contract did provide for cancellation without penalty before midnight on the third business day after signing, so a person could change their mind. 2. On the first day that work was performed, adequate care was not taken to keep dust from getting on my bed and bedroom furniture. When I realized that furniture wasn't covered, it was already too late. Again, Tammy Driskill, one of the owners, was very responsive and made sure that a cleaning crew cleaned both the bathroom and the bedroom. It ended up being cleaned better than it was the day we moved into the house. In the end, it was better than before they started, just stressful at the time, until I talked to the owner. 3. As mentioned, the cost, however, the product is beautiful and if the company stands behind their product, as promised, I'll be happy. Pros: 1) The service - going the extra mile and the responsiveness of the owners. - Our old shower was leaking pretty badly. It was going to be about 2 months till all of the materials were ordered and came in, but they sent out a plumber immediately to cap off our shower and stop the leak. - Within a couple of days of signing the contract, Tammy Driskill, called herself to thank us for our business. She asked if I had any questions. I was still feeling some of the stress of actually making the decision and choosing the materials and told her I wasn't sure about the choice of color for the shower. She said, no problem, and sent the salesman back with samples again. - They were framing our mirrors and later, we realized that we hadn't asked about the frame for a mirror on the wall, as we walked into the bathroom. No problem - they measured it and included that in our project. -The owner took care of the mess made in my bedroom - no questions asked. - We actually, added a second stage to our project that had not originally been planned. We put the onyx material that was on the countertops as a backspash around our tub, around the base of the tub, and on a counter between the tub and shower. Before the onyx came in for that project, we weren't able to use the tub. The new faucet wouldn't fit correctly on the fittings from the old one and there wasn't any access to the tub plumbing. Again, they had a plumber make a special trip out to break off part of the old base around the tub and fix my plumbing so I could use that tub. 2) I had some dealing with another of the owners, Jason Hicks, regarding paying for the projects and found him to be very personable and easy to deal with also. 3) The actual work done seems to be high quality and looks great, now that it is finished. They had to cut new holes in my walls to move the light fixtures and then patch the old holes. There's no way at all to see where they patched the wall. It looks perfect. Bottom Line: It was expensive. It looks good. I like it. I'm not sorry that we did it. Would I use them again? If I could afford it..... yes. Not sure that I would put that much money into my other bathrooms though.
Description of Work: They tore out our shower down to the studs, replaced the shower with their DuraBath SSP product, put in a new shower base, widened the door to the shower, replaced 2 vanity counter tops, replaced the faucets in 2 vanities and the bathtub, put up new light fixtures on 2 walls, which required moving them to a new location, framed the mirrors, and put the same onyx that the countertops were made from as a backsplash around our tub and around the base of the tub. The onyx was also used to cover completely a counter between the bathtub and the shower,

PROS: Used quality materials and final look is aesthetically pleasing. CONS: A horrible experience from start to finish. What was supposed to be a two-week job turned into a 3-month nightmare. They were in and out if my home from 22 Jun until 11 Sep. Numerous plumbing issues, once such leading to a reinspection by the city. Major communication issues between upper management, ordering, and warehousing caused the extended time they spent in my home. The initial installation crew was polite and professional, excluding the master plumber. Follow-on visits by the redo person were not so pleasant. He did exactly what was on his task list but took no precautions to protect my flooring or already installed fixtures. Several emails to the owner went unanswered. Eventually I was able to contact him by telephone and express my frustration and he admitted to reading the emails. Regardless, even after speaking with him nothing changed. In fact on the final day the project manager and an assistant showed up only prepared to complete 1 of the 4 outstanding issues. This after I had spoken with the co-owner several days earlier to confirm what was left to do. The owner showed up after that with several workers and all issues were finally completed.
Description of Work: Remodeled master and guest bathrooms including walk-in shower in master bath. Installed new sinks and plumbing, wainscoting, cabinetry, mirrors, lighting, and painted. Added new wall outlet, moved one outlet and moved exhaust fan. Did not replace floor tile nor toliets.

[member name removed], What can I say but that I am very, very sorry? When last we spoke, I shook your hand and you said you were happy with the completed job but not with the way things went. I cannot agree more. Admittedly, we fell short of your expectations and ours. We do appreciate the feedback, and we have already made changes to our communication to ensure that this kind of thing never happens again. Please know that we will continue to stand with you until you are satisfied. Again, I apologize, and I hope that despite all of the bumps in the road, you will love your new bathroom for many, many years. Respectfully, David Driskill

The rep Amber came at schedule time. Very nice lady, she measured the bathrooms and showed us the product and the different designs. She told us about the product and the length of time it would take to install. When she told us the price we were in shock. We are retired and on a set income so naturally we could not afford to have this done. My husband and I have redone a bathroom before so I guess we will have to do it again, even though we are quite a bit older. If we won the lottery and had a house built we would definitely get [company name removed] to do the bathroom, because of the high quality of the product they have, I know you would never have to do the bathroom again. Maybe replace the faucets or shower head. I wish we were younger and still working we could probably swing it. Again I want to say that Amber was very nice and sweet.
Description of Work: They gave us a estimate to replace the garden tub with a walk in shower, over $14,000 and a estimate in our other bathroom to replace a small tub that also has a shower over $8,000.

They were very thorough. We had a problem with mold in the shower. They tore the old shower out and completely rebuilt the whole shower area to get rid of the mold and sprayed it with mold preventative. The materials they used is a solid material that doesn’t have grout lines, so there is no way that water can get back in and start mold again, so I was very impressed with the quality of the material.

They completed all the work within a week. They were clean and tidy and completed painting after the other work was done. They were on time, worked efficiently, and asked questions about adjusting different aspects of the job. The materials they used were high quality.
Description of Work: They worked on two bathrooms for me. In our main bathroom they removed a bath tub and installed a shower. They also built a unit with drawers and a custom cabinet for my cat's litter box and installed a new toilet. In our other restroom they removed a tub and replaced it as well as put in new walls.

We are looking to redo our Master bath. We stopped by the [Company name removed] location and was able to set up an appointment that worked with our tough schedules. We had a wonderful consultation that was thorough and well detailed. We were shown many options for our project and enjoyed the experience. However, the estimate was very very expensive. To the point that it was on the verge of being utterly ridiculous to think that we would pay even close to this price for the work that we want done. Work we want done: New shower area (glass, floor and bottom), new vanity, lights and mirrors. We are keeping the water closet, tub and flooring. This is not a total redo of the Master, $25,000 for this is beyond expensive. PS: We knew going into the consultation that it would take time. However, nothing was said to us to a lot a specific amount of time when setting up the appointment. I agree with previous posters, [Company name removed] needs to be specific with consultation times.

The whole process went very well. The plumber worked with us regarding when the water needed to be off and kept that time to a minimum, and the guys working on the installation were prompt and efficient, explained things as they were going along, consulted with us as to the height and placement of the grab bar and plumbing fixtures, and kept very clean the areas where they were bringing materials in and out. The work was done in two days - it is beautiful, and much safer now for an older person taking a shower, and will be much easier to keep clean.

I was given a long presentation with computer slide show on why they are such a great company to do business with. However, the verbal quote (not a written estimate) was for nearly $10,000.00. WHAT? During the presentation, a lot of self congratulatory phrases were bandied about and all the exotic sounding materials and technical steps they would do. However, I got nothing in writing to back up all these verbal claims. Before and since this estimate, I had spoken to two plumbers. Both had done work for me and I felt that I could trust them on this type of major expense. Both gave verbal quotes of $3000-$4000, not including the tile work, for the bath walls. I mentioned to them several key points that [company name removed] made to me too. Considering what the plumbers and tile worker stated, I think I could get the job done for $4000 to $5000 less than the [company name removed] price. Maybe not in such a splendid fashion but good enough for a working class guy like myself in an old home in a rundown neighborhood. So what did I do? I spent $125 to have the bad caulk scraped out (by the tile guy contractor) and new put in for the tub area AND three sinks. I am very satisfied with the work done by my new contractor friend! The bath looks great though obviously not brand new. That's all I needed.

Our Bathroom remodle consisted of trearing down walls to make a larger shower, replacing the floor with new tile, all new fixtures, re texture the walls and painted. The Shower floor was a special order as was the glass wall and door. The told us when work should begin and it would take 2 weeks to complete. They were right on target, work started when they said it should and it was completly done in 2 weeks. Their contractors were very knowledgeable and professionial. We highly recommend them, I plan on using them when we are ready to remodel our other bathroom.

They did a great job and were very responsive to our requests. Their attention to detail was exceptional. They cleaned up every day of the six day job. They covered the floors all the way from the front door to the bathroom with tarps and were careful to not damage anything else when working on the bathroom. We are very pleased with their work. They offer a lifetime warranty which is reassuring but I am confident we will never need to use it. They were expensive but you must pay for quality.

They took down glass shower walls, the tiled floor and walls and removed the bathtub. The plumbing was modified as needed for a new drain, shower head, water jets and a hand-held water spray. Three hand rails and several hooks were installed in different places. A seat was made where the tub use to be and durabath material was placed on the floor and walls all around. The area was enclosed with glass doors and half glass walls. [company name removed] did a good job and the material looked like real tile. The workers were always working and friendly. A supervisor came every few days and kept us informed of the progress. We never saw or heard from Tony Parker, who had sold us the contract, again. The job was to be finished in a week but they got a wrong part and we had to wait another week for completion. The Tarps were always placed on the floor but dirt and debris still had to be swept up by me every day after they finished. There was manpower lacking when the shower floor was brought in and consequently the wooden threshold to the master bedroom was cracked and had to be replaced later by [company name removed]. This was an inconvenience to us because we had to be home at different times to let the workman in to do the job. The price for this job was high but they say the durabath material requires minimal cleaning and lasts a long time. All in all we got a beautiful new shower area which we designed and is practical.
Description of Work: [company name removed] renovated our shower and made a larger enclosed area for a new seat with a hand held water spray. Took down glass walls, tiled floor and walls and removed the tub. Modified plumbing as needed for new drain, shower heads and jets. Replaced walls and floor with glass and durabath material on floor and walls as planned.

The staff is very professional and the bathroom looks wonderful. My Mom wanted a walk-in tub for a few years now. It was hard for her to get in and out of a regular tub. She is thrilled with the ease she has getting in her tub now. It took 4 days for them to complete the process. I would recommend [Company name removed].
Description of Work: Walk-in tub with jets and whirl pool. Back splash, new sink cabinet, new lights, new medicine cabinet. Paint bathroom. We set the contract up in November and added a few new items the later part of November. Because of the holidays all the parts and items did not come in till January.

We are very pleased with the product results. It is beautiful. All workers were professional, and I felt comfortable having them in my home. There was a severe lack of communication with all parties, from the folks in the office to how prepared the workers were when they arrived. The workers often did not have the correct equipment to complete the planned service for the day. All corrections were made, it was frustrating to continually have to add more time to the project. Even the office staff did not always have a clear picture of things to be done, if they were not the one taking the original call. They usually cleaned up all the mess they made. There was a sincere concern for job completion with a professional appearance and customer satisfaction. All workers wore identifying shirts, although all trucks were not labeled as [company name removed]. They seem to have very skilled workers doing all the installation. The cost was more than other remolelers, but they provided choices for items such as tile and countertop. I was not able to go all over town to other showrooms to search for other choices, so this worked very well for me.
Description of Work: Installed shower, removed bathtub

I am thrilled to hear that you like the results and that our installers were professional, but I am especially grateful for the honest and meaningful feedback regarding the lack of communication.
