+ -1 moreTony Parker who came out to talk to my mother gave her a bid for $35,000.00 to work on 2 and 1/2 bathrooms. She explained that she wanted to get other bids, Tony said that if she didn't sign the contract that day, she would lose a $5000.00 discount. My mother is 91 years old, and has been a widow for 5 years. My dad was a business man and made the decisions. Mother doesn't like confrontation, so she signed the contract, she didn't want new cabinets, she felt that some of the tile was good and didn't want it replaced. I don't know exactly what she agreed to have done, but she began to have second thoughts and she had already signed a contract, and given a check for $5000.00. The house is in a trust so she called her Trust Officer, and they have written a letter to Re.Bath, and stopped payment on the check. But I employ salesmen, and we don't encourage pressure sales, and my mother felt pressured. I deplore people taking advantage of senior citizens, surely you can give an honest price, and give customers a chance to think things over. If you can give a $5000.00 discount, there is that much more profit to be made. Being in sales, myself, I know that you can give an honest bid, with an honest profit, and make a living for yourself and your staff without high pressure tactics
Description of Work: When I joined Angie's List, I explained that my mother lives in San Antonio and I joined so that I could give her information that she needs, since she doesn't use the computer. My mother is 91 years old. She wants to remodel her bathroom, so I gave her 5 names on the A list. I explained that in the reviews Re.Bath was described as expensive, but that their work was good. She called them first, and they came out promptly to see what she wanted done, and gave her a bid to work on 2 and 1/2 baths.

In hindsight, the price seems more than three times a reasonable cost for what was provided in the quote and accomplished. However, the crew that came to the house and accomplished the work was extremely knowledgeable, professional and considerate. Would consider working with this company again, in very large part due to the professionalism of the working crew.

+ -1 moreI would not call this folks unless you are prepared to spend at least 16,000. We were told that is the average cost for a small bathroom.
Description of Work: Todd was very friendly, professionally, and a pleasure to visit with. The sales pitch was a bit like a used car salesman, but that may be a [company name removed] corporate pitch. Unfortunately his prices was WAY out of line - more than 2 times what other companies quoted us. We were surprised to get the price because we had expected that [company name removed] would be cheaper because they use the plastic looking fake tile rather than porcelain or stone. The selection for faucets and lighting was limited, too. We could not see paying such a huge amount. We engaged a well known San Antonio design and remodeling company who was 22,000 rather than the 46,000 Re Bath quoted. Also, I really don't like being asked " if there is any reason I could not make a decision on the spot" and also having me select colors, etc before the quote is given. The appointment lasted a very long time.

We had previously used them to remodel our two bathrooms and the kitchen remodel was the first one ever done by [Company name removed]. During all three projects, we were never inconvenienced by the on-going construction, they were completed on time and the end result far exceeded our expectations. All three rooms are AWESOME!! Bottom line, they did what they said they'd do and it was well worth the price we paid. We are extremely satisfied and highly recommend [Company name removed] for any bathroom or kitchen remodel.
Description of Work: We had a very tiny galley kitchen and medium sized connecting dining room. [Company name removed] completely gutted both rooms, removed one wall (non-load bearing) and a built in pantry. They totally remodeled both rooms to include new plumbing, electrical, drywall, ceramic tile flooring, cabinets, granite countertops, backsplash and appliance installation. All of the work was done on time based on the schedule provided by [Company name removed], 16 workdays total from start to finish.

Description of Work: Remodeled Master Bath, doubled size of walk-in shower, added bench in the shower, installed jacuzzi bathtub. Replaced fixtures in 2 other bathrooms and repaired slow leak at toilet base in one bathroom. Replaced part of wood flooring damaged from seepage. Took approximately 4 days to complete and one additional day for installation of new shower glass since it had to be cut to exact size.

+ -1 moreWe had the sales lady come to our home. We went over everything and selected the flooring and walls we wanted for a new shower stall. Mike and Jesse were the installers. They showed up on time on the scheduled date and went to work right away tearing out the cheap tub and shower we had. They worked quietly and kept the mess down to a minimum. They also cleaned up everything--didn't leave any mess. Mike has a lot of experience in installing, and he suggested some slight modifications which he felt would work out better than what was originally suggested. His suggestions worked out very well. They took two days to install the entire shower stall. Everything went very smoothly and we are very happy with the final results. It is exactly what we wanted--a tiled look with no grout to have to deal with!
Description of Work: Old bath and shower were removed and new shower stall with new plumbing installed.

+ -1 moreEveryone at [company name removed] was professional and timely. They kept us abreast of the process and went over things in detail at the end of each day. They came in on a Monday and tore out all the old fixtures and came in on Tuesday and installed the new. The only problem in an otherwise pleasant experience, is with the company they subcontract out for the countertops. They incorrectly measured what was needed for the Vanity top, causing a week delay in the project, and then had attitude because they had to come in after 5 to install it. They were no where near as professional as the [company name removed] staff and did a poor job. [company name removed] had to come in a correct what the countertop company messed up. So hats off to [company name removed] and thier awesome crew. Hopefully they no longer use that countertop company.
Description of Work: We had our old shower/bath combo replaced with a custom walk in shower and had the vanity top and sink replaced. Tony Parker came out and gave us our estimate and represented [company name removed] and their product well. He had to come out to our place a few times, after hours to show us samples and he was always pleasant to work with.

+ -1 moreExcellent customer service and excellent work - very professional. A big plus was with all of the demoliton they kept the dust at a minimum and cleaned up after they had finished. They went above and beyond the work that we contracted them to do. . The person who was their primary point of contact was always available to us whenever we called. She made it a point to come out, if necessary, if we had questions. The work began on the Wednesday and they did demolition that week (Wed -Friday). On Monday, they continued with the demolition and began redoing any plumbing that needed to be moved or changed. They started the wall reconstruction, then painting and flooring. Initially they were suppose to be completed by the Wednesday, but. some items had not arrived. Since that weekend was Christmas, they sent out extra workers and worked the Friday before Christmas to get the bath in a condition that it could be used. By that Friday, they had completed most of the major work. That Monday, the primary contractor was back early to get started. He worked that entire week completeing the finishing touchers - putting in faucets, door stops,completing the painting, putting in new shelves in the closet and other detail work. The project was still not complete before the new year, but.the contractor was out Monday and completed the work. We are very pleased with the results and would difinely use [company name removed] again and recommend them to others.
Description of Work: We have a apx 30 year old bathroom that was not in bad condition but needed a face lift. We called Re bath and they sent out a representitive to give us an estimate. She listened to our desires, gave us some suggestions and walked us through the entire process. We contracted with them to began the work the following week. We decided to do a complete bathroom remodeling. We had the following work done: 1) removed the tub 2) put in a walk-in shower with a teak-wood floor 3) had a wall reconfigured to enlarge and remodel the walk-in closet 4) changed ALL cabinets, mirrors, fixtures, countertops, medicine cabinet 5) had the walls painted (to include accent color) 6) had the ceilings redone to remove popcorn take texture 7) had carpet removed and wood luminte put in 8) had new closet put in for linen with double doors 9)had all doors painted same color 10) Installed new toilet and facebowl

+ -1 moreThe plumber showed up around 9a and had a lot of hours worth of work to go through the old tile walls (with chicken-wire mesh covered with cement, very solid) to the plumbing in the the walls and under the house (a 1920's pier and beam). All pipes were replaced, new Delta hardware put in and then the wall guy (Jose) and his helper came in to remove all the rest of the tile, cut down the shower ceiling ledge which was not needed, and do the mold-resistant sheet rock and install the wall and ceiling panels above the tub. The helper accidentally cut himself badly and had to leave, but Jose kept on going alone never complaining or taking any help that we would offer. He worked late into the night, cleaned up after himself and took all the heavy trashcans and tools out by himself. He was very professional and a very nice person. A few days later another installer came to install a special curtain rod and tidy up any little caulking areas that needed a touch up. He was also very friendly and explained all the caring and maintenance of the special walls and ceiling with us again. We paid half up front, then they have the specially sized panels custom made for the bathroom, and then we paid the other half after everything was completed and we were satisfied. It is not the cheapest company out there, but you get what you pay for in our experience. This was well worth the money and we will have them come back in the future to do our other bathroom.
Description of Work: Tore out walls and ceiling in the bathtub and replaced; extensive upgrade of existing incoming plumbing at the house level. We kept our large, old sturdy bathtub which they agreed was a good choice.

Description of Work: [Company name removed] came out on Monday July 11, 2011 to repair the wall and the threshold in the shower that they had installed a few years ago. The crew that appeared found other defects in the installation and determined that the entire shower needed replacement. They also made suggestions on how the new installation should be done to eliminate seams and a step down into the shower. After we agreed with their suggested changes, they removed all of the old material, and began anew. I can't say enough good things about the crew that did the job and their supervisors that supported them during the entire process. The crew was extremely capable, professional and displayed pride in their work and their company. I found it hard to believe that I was dealing with the same company that did the original installation. The work was accomplished in a fast and professional manner, the shower is beautiful and the cleanup the crew did after the job was completed was very thorough. I initially thought the price was a little on the high side, but after a rocky start with this company, I believe the price was fully justified by the amount of work the company does to correct any mistakes made and insure the customer is satisfied with the results. The [Company name removed] of today is a totally different company today than it was when I first contracted with them. I would gladly do business with the "new" [Company name removed] and confidently recommend them to my friends and associates.

+ -1 moreIt went very well though one of the installers cut himself on the job. After a hospital visit, the installation continued the next day. The team was truly professional and courteous. I would have preferred to keep the tile rather than replace it with a prefab surround but this was not an option.
Description of Work: Removed existing tile and surround. Removed doors and reinstalled them for project. Installed a 6' walk in tub, fixtures, electrical switches and tub surround.

Other than that this company did great work and I am very satisfied. They are also the only bathroom remodelers that are aging-in-place certified in San Antonio.

The workman were very professional, courteous and helpful thoughout the time they were at my house. They went all the do's and don'ts with cleaning and caring for our new unit. I plan on hiring them to re-do our master bathroom when I get the finances. They did a great job. Exceptional service.
Description of Work: We had [company name removed] covert our old bathtub shower combination unit in our spare bathroom into a stand up shower unit only. They were to take out the new unit, replace piping and any wall area that needed it. Put in a new unit with two shower heads, one attached and one handheld.

+ 1 moreOverall the job was very professional done. All of the demolished items were removed for disposal. The crews seemed to really enjoy their work and there was laughter during the entire time. The work progress was inspected once before it was completed during the job and after it was completed. There was one item that needed replaced after the installation and that was done courteously and promptly. We are very impressed with this company's work ethic and professionalism.
Description of Work: Removed all existing bathtub enclosure and installed new cement board all around. Replaced a shower/bathtub enclosure with a shower only low entry enclosure and installed glass sliding doors. The new enclosure also has a grab bar and a seat built in for ease of use. Rerouted the drain hole, enlarged it for better drainage and this work included digging in to the foundation to make these changes. Tiled the floor with porcelain tiles, a floating installation, grouted, replaced baseboards(painted) and ran a bead of joint compound all along the edges.

+ -1 moreThe workers arrived on time and began the removal process. They encountered a problem where water had leaked under the original flooring and informed us what they would have to do. They also had to move some plumbing for the new faucet handle to properly fit. When the new base and walls were complete another crew came in to measure and order the shower door which was installed the following day. The entire project took 5 days and there was no extra cost for repairs. The [Company name removed] material looks beautiful and is easily cleaned - yes there are some cleaners you cannot use, but they have an extensive list of approved cleaners easily obtained. There is a limited lifetime warranty on the product.
Description of Work: Our cultured marble shower stall was completely removed and replaced with a [Company name removed] shower base and walls, new shower heads and shower door.

+ -1 moreThe young lady that came out was very professional. We told her what we wanted, what we needed, and what our situation was. I was extremely pleased. The only reason we haven't done it is because that was before we had an opportunity to have a new furnace installed. It became a question of priority. Our air-conditioning system and furnace were going out on us. I do intend to go back to them and follow through with on that estimate, but it's going to take several months before I can do that. Our interaction with them was excellent. We had a good time. The lady worked around our situation and put together the estimate and was a pleasure to work with. They came out almost right away. We made a phone call and set up an appointment. They were very responsive. The lady arrived when she said she would. I would definitely use them in the future.
