Description of Work: Installed water softener & sediment filter in our pre-plumbed new home. Tech showed on time & did a magnificent job. Unit works great & all I need to do is add salt pellets when necessary. Very low consumption of these in 2 months of operation. Dishes; shower; & clothes all stay squeaky clean because of soft water. 10 year warranty on unit.

Description of Work: I like their product, price was what I expected (man, soft water does cost a lot), installed quickly and easily. Problem was with having them come out, to arrange the initial eval, I was asked when my husband would be available "because your husband has to be there, we find that since we discuss technical details, the wife can't understand it, and we always have to come back a second time, so instead of worrying your little head about it, our policy is to meet with you when you're husband is there too." And that was from a woman! Almost made me decline their visit, but I had already determined I like their product. I should have let her have her sales rep explain to my husband (extremely not handy or technical) then come back out to ME! (Very technical, handy, and extremely educated on the science behind a water softener). Instead, she and the sales rep got an ear-full. Needless to say, despite the my female gender I was able to understand and purchase the unit!

Description of Work: All that was done was for the technician to rinse out the bin with the potassium in it and the charge, I felt, was excessive; it took about 20 minutes. Apparently, since they are the only Kinetico Dealer in San Antonio they have no competition.

Description of Work: We knew we needed a water softener and consulted more than one company. We were impressed that the Kinetico system is not electric and takes up very little space. Their representative answered all of our questions. The men who did the work were here on time, were polite and efficient. We had a small problem and they returned the very next morning. We've seen great results immediately. So far we're very happy with this decision.

Description of Work: We put in a whole home water softener and under kitchen sink reverse osmosis tank. The work was done quickly, on time, on budget. This is one of the more expensive water softener systems on the market but I thoroughly researched all systems and opted for this one due to overall performance and ratings on several websites. We are very happy at 9 months out. The system is outdoors in it's own little shed with no problems. Like the fact that it uses no electricity. I would recommend this company without reservation.

Description of Work: Best of the best! Service, quality! It IS the last water softener I will ever own. This is a case where it is worth the money because you truly do get what you pay for. Staff is awesome also. Very pleased. Have had my system for over a year now.

+ -1 moreKinetico sent over the sales person and he did a good job of explaining the difference between his product and the rest of the other companies. I didn't want to see the entire sales pitch because we had already seen other company's sales pitch and we knew we needed a water softener and so he was able to adapt to what we needed understand and what was just redundant to the other sales pitch where they show you how bad your water was and how much soap you would save and so on. He was good. He could see we know all that and was able to articulate what was different about their company and others. We setup a date to install and they came out at the agreed time and installed it. They did a great job with installing it and made it as neat and clean as possible. They were professional and did a neat, good job. The only problem was that they did not teach me the system before they left. They did not take the packaging off the water level float and the brine tank overflowed and when we noticed it it was about 2 to 3 hours later and there was water all over the garage and down the drive way. The office was closed. They do not have any body taking call after hours or on weekend and so I had to figure out how to stop the problem before they would call back Monday morning. I didn't want to wait that long because I didn't know if I had at least resolved the problem. I did call the salesman's phone number and after he got home and checked his messages he called me and had one of the installers call me and told me that what I had done would fix the problem and he would come out Sunday (the next day) and fix it for me. He made it here at the agreed time and fixed the problem. He went through the operation of the equipment and told me that someone would come to do some adjustment later that week. Then later that week the company sent someone out to explain the operation of the equipment and helped out and adjusted the float and now I feel the equipment is working great.
