This company is a small business that gives you an estimate and sticks to their word! They do fantastic ranch roads, I had them do a 550’ ranch road and they completed it in one day. They even cleaned up the sides of the new road! Fantastic owner and workers!

Outstanding work! Donald Butterworth, the working, hands-on CEO of this company is an excellent communicator. Prepares a detailed estimate so you know exactly what will be done. Stays in touch with clients with daily progress reports. He prides himself on being at the job site daily. Employs superb equipment operators (Julio and Clay) who are also very personable. This was a particularly challenging job due to the 50 foot drop from the top of the drive to the valley below. He knew exactly how to approach it. Another challenge was the weather. It rained heavily for several days, so work was halted. Still, he completed the project on time and on budget. I highly recommend this company for any driveway project.

The experience went really well. Communication was a bit patchy but compared to other companies who never even called us back, it was decent. We got a written quote for the pad and drive originally which included a military discount (3,600 total). My husband had mentioned to Donald that we were planning on resurfacing the rest of the driveway as well at some point in the future. On the day of service, Donald offered to a quote to do the rest of the work since the equipment was already on site and that included a military discount as well. The whole project was completed in a day and we are very satisfied with the results and the quality of work. Definitely would recommend him to friends and hire again.

Donald understood what we wanted and accomplished it. I am pretty picky about how things look, and this driveway looks fantastic! He gave me some addresses of other jobs he had done; I went out and looked at them before I choose him. He'll be able to add our driveway to his list. We had some weather during this process. Donald kept in touch as to when they would be able to work.

I had called then at least 8 times frm 12/15 to 01/05/2015. Never returned the call. THis was commercial work so there would have been multiple parking lots and multiples of money for doing the jobs. A communication error has cost this company at least 10K. I don't like to give negative reviews because 98% of the vendors I pull off Angies List are spot on with service, communication and follow through, when the vendors are not, it makes me look bad.

***UPDATE*** 7-15-2015. Contractor was apparently unaware that prosepective customers can message via the Angies list website. Contacted them again at their request on the basis that everyone makes mistakes, no one is perfect, and second chances can and do work out. Spoke with them, made an appointment, they were professional and willing to work with my schedule. Unfortunately, I selected another contractor. I may very well contact them in the future. 6-2015: Attempted to contact this contractor twice using the Angies List messaging system in June 2015. Zero response. Are these folks still in business?

I contacted Kickin' Asphalt to bid a job of replacing a driveway and associated parking pads that were deteriorating due to an unstable base and poor initial installation by the general contractor when the house was built 15 years ago. The owner of Kickin' Asphalt was very responsive and gave me what I considered a extremely fair and honest appraisal of what would be required to fix the driveway. I agreed to accept his bid and he and his crew arrived on site the next day at the agreed hour. Once the process of removing the existing concrete driveway it became apparent that the base soil was very unstable and the blacktop paving that we had agreed upon would not be the durable driveway that I wanted. The owner carefully explained the situation and proposed a workable solution that would be more durable and cost effective. The work progressed smoothly and the owner kept me updated on each phase of the work. The work was finished quickly and I am very satisfied that this project came in on time and under budget. This is a company that has skilled workers, honest appraisals and feedback, and exceptional value for the dollars spent. I highly recommend.
